  1. You heard him, all you Germans and Britons need to show some responsibility and buy as many of these games you can so the rest of us will get them too Nah, just kidding. I'm not really impressed by the only game we've seen this far, looks really empty and dull. But who knows, it might come something better later.
  2. Certainly, here you go: And yes, it's a bald eagle. I didn't have the parts to build a Golden Eagle or a White-tailed Eagle, the two eagles that can be find here in Sweden. But I think that the Bald Eagle is a really beautiful bird and I'm very happy with how it turned out. So enjoy my American friends
  3. Well, as a medieval time cow the size is perfect since the cow at that time was alot smaller then those of today. Centuries of breeding have brought us larger cows.
  4. Hello! Here is my C16 Guard Post module: Easy access to walls by the stairs and a small house for the guards to rest in between their watch shifts. Space is limited inside a Castle and therefore the roof is used to grow plants on. Inside the house there is a small bed to rest on. I'm happy to be in the team and I hope to be back with more modules soon. /Etzel
  5. Thank you very much! It feels good to be in the team Oh, C16 Guard Post. I've must have missed that when I was checking the list. I will surely build more modules but unfortunately I only have one 16x16 baseplate so I need to take the previous one apart first. But my first problem will be to figure out what I will build when there is so many options
  6. How funny, I've never noticed this before. I wonder why they have two different molds. I can't think of any practical difference between them.
  7. Hi all! I've been following your work for a long time and I must say I'm really impressed by the great modules everyone has built. Finally I've decided to join you (if I still can?). I've already done one module but it's not on the list, just something I came up with after looking at all the other ones. I realized that there would be very difficult for the soldiers to get up on the walls when there was so few stairs up to them. So I built a module with stairs up to the wall and added a small house for the guards to rest in between their watch shifts. It's not a big deal if you don't include this on the list, - I'll be happy to build something else too :) I'll just post this one picture here and when I've been placed in a team I will post the rest of the pictures there, ok? Thank you! /Etzel
  8. Thank you for your kind comments! I'm happy my MOC was appreciated Thank you for noticing. I came up with that idea by a pure coincident. Yeah, the snake isn't perfect but the eagles beak is open and I thought it might be a good idea to use that for something like that. But in the aftermath it might not have been the best idea. Thanks! Nice name you came up with for the Medieval Market Village Maybe you like this too then? Just a simple vig
  9. I'm sorry but this is old news and we are not allowed to post those images here yet because they are confidential.
  10. Sulfurix in making a visit to the surface - but for some reason he's not very welcome: The next vig was inspired by Peppermint_M's excellent MOC Escape, Vive le resistance!. The Berlin Wall is an important part of our modern history and it's nice to see some MOCs about it. Mine is based on this famous photograf picturing a east german soldier that jumps over the barbed wire in the early stages of the wall. And here is my try: Well, that's it. Thank you for watching!
  11. Really funny! I love your Darth Father mocs! The use of the door is really good and I like that the rebels are wearing silly hemlets in your version too.
  12. Those are really nice! The torsos are beautiful and I really like that you focused on historical accuracy and civilians. The details such as the Thors hammer necklace and the womans beads are really good. An interesting fact is that the Thor hammer actually is mostly found in women graves and that beads are found in both men and women graves. Until not so long ago archaeologist were deciding the sex of the person in the graves with the number of beads in it, not a really safe method and nowadays we know better
  13. Vig. 57b The poor farmer couldn't pay his taxes and therefore the soldiers took his only cow. In his desperation the farmer desecrate the name of the Lord and was immediately taken prisoner. He is being taken to the nearby town to be put on trail of blasphemy. An eagle is watching the men while eating a newly caught snake. Close-up on the eagle: The back: I try to include a bird in my MOCs and this time I wanted to make something larger then before. It might be a bit to big but I'm very pleased with the result. Thank you for watching and feel welcome to leave comments and critics
  14. Wow, these new Indy sets are really great! I've been rather disappointed at the previous sets in this theme even though Indy and I share the same profession I've only picked up The Lost Tomb and River Chase so far. But this year will be different for sure! Here are my thoughts about the sets: Ambush in Cairo: My favourite The minifigs are brilliant! I don't care much about the faces because they are flesh, it's the torsos and head gears that are the real deal for me. The turban and ninja scarf are really useful for arabian/asian guys which have been very hard to make before. The market stand is also very nice and the accessories are really good. I might get doubles of this set... Chauchilla Cemetery Battle: Not so sure about this one. I like the cementery because it has a lot of useful parts but the minifigs are rather lame IMHO. Indy and Mutt has the same torsos as before and the two other guys are to similar to each other. If the price is right I will buy this one. Venice Canal Chase: Looking good The fez will be very useful and I love Elsa's new hairpiece. The boats are also nice although I will most probably not keep them built. The bridge contains some useful parts to. I will buy this set for sure. Fighter Plane Attack: Nah, I have no use of planes so I will probably pass on this one. The minifigs doesn't seem to offer much either. The Temple of Doom: Yes, please! This set is packed with great parts and minifigs! I'm very curious about those rails too. This set is a must buy - if I got the money Does anyone know when we can expect these beauties in shops?
  15. Eeh, I don't really agree with you there. A really important part of the vikings were the trade and exploration and IMHO that would fit very good in the theme. Unfortunately TLG focus too much on conflicts and battles, some say that it is what the market wants but I doubt that the difference would be that big. I think the best thing with the theme was the minifigs (despite the awful helmets) and the large amount of wooden structures. I didn't like the big catapults and machines. The beasts was ok but it was too many dragons. Giants, trolls and Norse mythology gods would have been much better.
  16. I would switch that to "It's a legend and also a bit of history" Just joking! I think it's a great idea. In a Atlantis theme we would be able to get a mix of different mythologies, although most likely Greece. I also think, if not used as an own, that Atlantis could be a great sub-theme for the Adventure theme. Well, you got me going Ptrickvdmeer. I came up with another historical/legend theme (that has indeed been discussed earlier but not in this thread): Arabian Nights! That would be a great theme with sultans, genies, robbers and lots of buildings with fantastic architecture. A lot of important molds are already existing like the scimitar, turban and the onion dome. It would also be a good move from LEGO to help fighting all the islamophobia that seems to have struck the world.
  17. That's a really good one! Love the use of the Loot Island baseplate. Who is the builder?
  18. How come that you have got the promos bags sent to your home? Are you members of some special club or did you sign up for it or something else? Well, I'm not so jealous about it. They doesn't look very good IMHO but I guess I wouldn't say no if I was offered one. Free LEGO is good LEGO
  19. I voted for Captain Roger/Redbeard. It was a very hard choice between him and Brickbeard. I don't like Iron Hook's torso, what kind of captain looks like that? No style at all! Redbeard and Brickbeard however have both great torsos and nice coloured epaulettes (right spelling?). I can't say I like the face on either of them, maybe Brickbeard is a little better. But finally it was the colour of the torso that was the main reason of my choice. I really like green I only got Redbeard at the moment but hopefully I will get my S@H order tomorrow so I can have personal meeting with Captain Brickbeard. Maybe I will change my mind then
  20. @ultraman_bc: I'm stunned by your totally awesome collection! One army at that size would be fantastic - and you got four!!! But do have a plan for what to do with all your armies, Are you going to build a large scale battle MOC or something? Or are they just for collection? Either way, I think this is the largest army I've ever seen. Great job!
  21. Wow! That is a really great ship! I think you did a lovely job creating that nice curved shape. The furniture are a really nice bonus too and I like that the decks are brickbuilt instead of just plates. The amount of minifigs gives a nice crowded feeling and much life to the MOC. Me like Congratulations to a top class ship!
  22. Several of those runes aren't real ones. I believe it's just nonsense. But here is my try of translating them (starting at top and then clockwise): N D (can't find) (weird version of F) I (younger version of H) (can't find) (can't find) F U (younger version of K) N D (can't find) (can't find) (younger version of H) (younger version of K) (can't find) (can't find) (younger version of K) It doesn't look very good...
  23. I would love to see a Stone Age theme, it is something that LEGO never have done before. I imagine a theme much like the Vikings, human vs. beasts. But I fear that LEGO wouldn't be accurate enough with the details. All the other options is very interesting to, especially Egypts, Greeks and Romans (with or with out fantasy).
  24. I think I will do a MOC featuring a battle between the Caroleans and Danish soldiers first. I will get two of the new imperial guards soon (hopefully tomorrow) and they will fit perfectly as Danes. I would love to do a MOC of the Battle at Poltava 1709 where the Russians defeated the Carolean army but I don't know how to design those Russians. I really don't like using decals so if anyone has a good idea of how to make nice 17th/18th century Russians from existing minifigs I would be really thankful. Yeah, it's a quite rare torso and the prices are really expensive on brickshelf. As I said in my first post, I don't believe I will get a grand army. More likely a little "patrol" with 3-4 soldiers. I'm just a poor student
