  1. Around 1700-1800 at the last count. I have been collecting LEGO for 20 years though so that would explain why I have that amount! I haven't got hold of many lately, they've been getting too popular and expensive in recent years.
  2. I think the only people who benefit are the sellers. If somebody wants to buy something on eBay then it's not difficult to go and look but if you advertise it here then the people who are already bidding/watching may miss out on a bargain because the item was advertised on a AFOL website and gained added attention that it would not have got without the advert.
  3. I was hoping to see 1000 Tusken Raider minifigs... ...but I only see 1. Someone should scare him off because he'll soon return, and in greater numbers!
  4. Where did you order it from?! You're in the UK right? Oh, maybe Bricklink...
  5. I usually shop in 2 or 3 stores at the same time and sometimes 6! I open each store in a new tab or window and the shopping cart is unaffected
  6. Just browsing lego.com - UK version and in the "Products" section, the Power Miners have appeared. No sign of the Pirates yet though! I haven't had a good look at the flash page yet so i don't know if it's interesting but it's something, at least!
  7. I don't know how many of you would agree with this but since the minifig torso or hips are already imperfect (through play or repeated removal), then the following suggestion can't hurt. You could always apply a very small amount/layer of glue on the arm joint, to increase it's dimension ever so slightly. Once it's completely dry, insert it back into the torso and hopefully, the joint will seem stiff again.
  8. Yes, you would have to build it on a baseplate and stick it down and also keep the camera in a fixed place too. I think with differences as big as a lego element, that might be too easy. A cool idea would be to build 2 larger models with Lego brick difference and/or take the picture from a different angle to make it extra hard but not impossible! I'll go and do this now so this can get back on topic
  9. I just looked at the creator's comments and he said it came from a gold C3PO The mini ships are cool but the mini vignette at the top is my fave. I haven't seen anyone do this scene yet
  10. I've not seen one but there is an eBay UK auction for around 10, including a couple of black ones. That's the most i've seen in one place. Can't seem to find it now, maybe it ended.
  11. I'm a fan of the little guy (despite being a member of the Confederate of Independent Systems with a Battle Droid army!) and I like the Gungans. Plus, I thought it would be reasonably cheap to build an army of these guys because of the low popularity of Jar Jar. Recently on eBay, he has been attracting a lot of bidders so I haven't added to this army for over a year now At this point, I have 10 Gungan soldiers, 14 Jar Jars and 15 Kaadus plus 2 Fambaas with a shield generator that's a work in progress (you can see the simple start that i've made out of grey/black/white bricks in the background). The soldiers are lucky enough to have shields but the Kaadu riders are somewhat kamikaze at present as both hands are being used to carry boomas! After the Fambaa build, i'd like to add some more artillery such as a booma catapault. I prefer mechanized combat anyway. I've recently moved house (twice!) so my battle droid army is currently dismantled. EDIT Here are my MTT's but i'm in the process of upgrading them to 7662 MTT's:
  12. Are the differences 'LEGO' differences or photoshopped differences?
  13. Count me in, I love a surprise! Thanks!
  14. Update: Seller contacted, appropriate refund given
  15. I emailed the seller about this and here is what she said: Does this sound right?!
  16. Thanks for the informative review. I have to say that the I hate the baseplate. I think because of the great quality MOC's that i'm now used to seeing, I prefer brick built islands. I understand that this is designed as a children's playset, needs to be affordable and in the old days, the baseplates were similar but I don't like the lack of studs. That's probably the main reason. I think i'll just get the exclusive pirate minifig on his own.
  17. Thanks everyone for your replies.
  18. I didn't really want to start a topic just for this but I didn't want to hijack someone else's thread either. I recently received some Battle Droids from a Bricklink seller in USA. The postal cast was a lot higher than expected but since I didn't ask for a quote, I honoured the purchase and paid. Before I contact the seller, I just wanted to check with someone who knows a bit more than I, if the cost was a little too high. Breakdown from my invoice: Order Total: $60.48 Shipping: $28.89 Insurance: $2.60 Additional Charges 1: $1.50 Additional Charges 2: $0.00 Credit: $0.00 Grand Total: $93.47 When I received the order, the postal price printed on the UPS label said $7.00
  19. What would I be able to do if I had some Fabuland merchandise that I wanted to give away for free but to someone who could come up with the funniest caption to a Fabuland picture? Is there a rule against holding your own competition in order to give something to a Fabuland fanatic for free? EDIT: What should I do if I want to donate some prizes for Eurobricks to do with as they please? Namely, the 7 Creator and Racer sets from the recent Daily Mirror giveaway
  20. Well i'm in the UK so I think it would work out cheaper to get them from here even though the seller is charging loads for shipping as well as the sets. I'm going to wait though. I think i'll prefer to get them in a physical shop. It's fun to go to the shelves and pile up a load of sets to take to the checkout In 8397 Pirate Survival, is he holding a handbag?!
  21. Apparently, you can get them in th UK too. Pricey Though 8397 Pirate Survival 8396 Soldier's Arsenal 6239 Cannon Battle 6240 Kraken Attackin 6241 Loot Island 6242 Soldier's Fort 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty Edit: If I buy one of the small sets now, sure it'll be a bit more pricey but I would have it in my hands by Wednesday!! Tempting... but it feels wrong somehow.
  22. My town, Yeovil in Somerset
  23. I'm sorry to make this a quick post but Tesco have a great deal on Clone wars sets: Magna guard Fighter £29.97 Republic fighter Tank £37.49 Republic Gunship £59.97 AT-TE £52.47 Heading back now to buy my christmnas presents for me!
  24. I was thinking more along the lines of either January, May or August like it used to say in the catalogues. It would be very hard to get exact dates and i'm not that much of a completist. I didn't even see M-Tron in that list!
  25. I'm disappointed, I was hoping to see a timeline showing every single minifig in the order of month/year of release. That would be impressive, just because of the number of them and rarity of some. There are loads missing from this one.
