  1. I seriously recommend the books. There's one book for each of the prequel films' vehicles, one book for the Original Trilogy films' vehicles and another 4 books with locations! Loads of detail and it adds a bit of realism to the Star Wars universe (as if it needed any ) They are all a great read for fans and MOC builders
  2. It may be limited to the Entertainer shop in my town (Yeovil) but they have the Incredible Cross-sections: The Locations book for sale for only £3.00! I just bought and it's an excellent book showing cross-sections of the major locations in the original trilogy such as Hoth, several Tatooine locations, Yavin 4, The Death Star and about 15 others. Get it if you can, whether you're a Star Wars fan or need some inside information for MOC building! Mods feel free to move this topic elsewhere
  3. I still don't like the look of the Twilight but i'll reserve judgement until I can get me hands on it. Maybe it will be a fun playset...
  4. Sorry for the very late reply to this! When I buy from eBay US (auctions, not buy-it-now) I don't usually get the option to combine shipping costs but all purchases work out to be cheaper. I won't get into a bidding war for anything When buying from bricklink, the sellers are usually experienced enough to work out the cheapest shipping. Above a certain weight the costs go up steeply so splitting the order is actually cheaper One bargain I got in February was a 6759 Imperial Landing Craft for about $16 (not new)
  5. Looks great! The body and head look very close in scale and shape to the 'real' AT-AT. I'm impressed. How long has it taken to create so far? Do you have more pics?
  6. Sorry to go off topic! Can you provide a link to the Ferrari picture? Sounds funny
  7. This is only for people who have seen the film, unless you don't mind seeing 2.5 mins worth of the film in a trailer. (personally I hate what is usually shown in trailers so I never watch them)
  8. Thanks for the extra info, I was quite confused about it Medical equipment/vehicles are one of the 'behind the scenes' things that you don't see often, if at all. Nice idea!
  9. Wow! The first set looks great, mostly because of the minifigs. Can't wait for that one! I imagine buying multiples of that. Second set 'Twilight' aka 'Stupid Flying Box' looks terrible. Thanks for the pics. Where did you find them?
  10. lol, yes that would help! If you sort into Price: Highest first, you'll see what he/she was referring to
  11. I have that regret about several of the big sets over the years. Usually because I can't afford them at retail price and try to get them much later and hope that they're not really popular! I don't feel bad about splashing out for this set because it's so cool but then I got 2 in the sales so i'll be able to make the money back if I can bear to part with them! I have bad habit of hoarding MISB sets.
  12. I think you're thinking of http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/8462-1. I didn't realise the tanks were so sought after. Is the function of the tank really worth it?!
  13. This set always sells above RRP on eBay, even for opened sets without a box or instructions! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lego-Technic-8455-Ba...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEGO-8455-TECHNIC-BA...1QQcmdZViewItem It is an excellent set in many ways but I remember it being heavily reduced a few months after it was released. Was this was just in my area?!
  14. I get my LEGO from shops here (UK), eBay.co.uk eBay.com and BrickLink (US sellers). On BrickLink, The Nerd Shop has great prices *cry_happy* *thumbup*
  15. Exactly. I don't think they were intended to be incredibly accurate and there will always be someone who can add more detail! If you just don't like them then fair enough I suppose but if they were mine i'd feel a little insulted. Got to have a look at the other stuff now.
  16. Have you seen his minifig collection?!
  17. Thanks for the info. I was in Argos today but it said nothing about it all being on sale, just the 7671 AT-AP. That's a bargain price for the motorized AT-AT and battlepacks!
  18. Yes there are some for sale on Bricklink too. I don't know if it's in huge quantities though ;-)
  19. I have some Episode 3 clones for trading but i am unsure if it's against forum policy for me to do so. I've enquired about starting a post to trade but was told that I need to have a post count about 100 in order to help protect other members and also to stop people from joining for the sole purpose of trading. I'm able to reply to existing posts but I feel that if I traded this way then i'd be unfairly bending the rules. I'll have to wait for clarification from a moderator. There must be someone else who is willing to trade their clones!
  20. If there is a demand for them then, yes they have some value. *y* There is a demand for old LEGO catalogues - have a search on eBay. They're the sort of thing that not everyone kept from when they were young. I have bought a few myself to fill in the gaps in my catalogue collection. Personally, i've never paid more than
  21. I've seen quite a few over the years but I do spend a large amount of time on there! for all you LEGO Ninja/Samurai enthusiasts, either bid on this Sealed LEGO 6013 Samurai Swordsman or pay less for buy-it-now, *wacko* Cheaper Sealed LEGO 6013 Samurai Swordsman
  22. Looks like some of the other castle stuff is on clearance too: Castle Skeleton Tower -
  23. Update on my situation..... I was refunded by Paypal after the seller (Anthony Ricca) did not respond to their emails within 10 days. I think this was only possible because there was sufficient funds in his Paypal account and the money had not yet been transferred to his bank account by him. I'm only guessing that though. I think I got very lucky here because he was arrested a couple of days after i'd paid. It's a shame when you get people like this on eBay because you can't tell whether it's legitimate or not especially due to the high positive feedback rating. If I do happen to receive anything in the post from him (not very likely) i'll be auctioning it off for charity. Unless Target want to contact me and i'll return it to them at their expense ;-)
  24. Would that be Episode 2 clones or Episode 3?
  25. Yeah I love those store displays. Effective too because they always inspire me to spedn large amounts of money! The old LEGO catalogues (pre '99) were good at that
