This is a really great fire boat, imo the best one made by TLG yet. I always wanted to own this as a child but i never got it. The new one also is not too bad but the fact that it is in this speedboat-style is pretty disturbing, i would rathe rlike to have one with the base of, say, the new coast guard boat.

We want the amazing 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant!
metalandi replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
That sounds interesting, but i don't quite get right now what you mean exactly..do you mean it is available directly at the vesta company? -
Hmm, that they're disappeard is strange, but i think it hasn't say too much. The Factory space set instructions also were just there a little time, and these are available for everyone. Let's see what the next days/weeks bring, but one thing is sure, if i see that anywhere on ebay later, it is as good as mine!

Somebody interested in a Venator star destroyer?
metalandi replied to Holodoc's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I don't quite get why somone would sell a MOC. That smells like just a money making operation to me. Anyway it is WAY overpriced for 2500 pieces, even the imperial star destroyer was cheaper and had quite a lot of more bricks... -
Well, that the bricks look new comes from that they ARE new. I got this set new and unopened

Thanks for this review, if you'd only know what memories you brought back! I think i remember this set better than any other i had, when i was a child. Some time after i got it, i decided to disassemble it and combine it with the jeep from 6552 Rocky River Retreat. It came out pretty good, though. As it became the main attraction point of my town (beeing the car of my favourite minifig back then, and, and, and... looong story ), i kept it assembled that way from this day on until earlier this year, when i finally disassembled it because i needed the parts.

Thanks for another great review WhiteFang! I always loved this theme but i never managed to get one of the bigger sets, the only one i got was this one. What i like the most about this promotional set here is the good amount of equipment (how often do you get a water scooter witch a full divers' equipment?). Also the fact that a female fig is included makes the set even more special. A shame that you also don't have more sets. I'd love to see more of this stuff here!

Is that a hint? Can't..wait...must..see..it..now

I almost missed, that we also got another pic of the witch now, i enlightened it a bit, since the original is a bit too dark: I'm looking forward to the first one here getting it and doing a picture review Edit: If you count, the thing with the 288 is right. There's 64 general fields in full, that makes 32 of each color. Every field containing 9 2x2 Tiles makes 288 of each color in total. Just wanted to test myself if i'm still good at maths

Seems someone got the set already over at classic castle, and did a little review here: http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/viewto...p=176265#176265 There has already been posted a part inventory on bricklink: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.as...amp;v=1&b=0 Going through that. i will buy this set for SURE. All other sets i wanted to buy, must wait.

That's awesome! I espacially love the tuba's (are they called like that in english?). How many sets and which ones exactly did you need for the girls choir? I gues it must have been many And i assume the green torsos are "stickers", am i right? One last question where did you get the printed "flute" piece? Or did you paint it yourself?

After seeing the power plant instructions, i even more wish for civil themed sets in 2009, and i certainly hope we get some. It's all there, TLG just has to make them.
-
Ahh, the good old train theme. How i wish TLG would make such great trains today, now that the quality of city sets has improved so much. That really brings back memories, even if i didn't have this one, but a cargo train that came out about the same time period, maybe plus a few years. I don't have any trains myself at the moment, mostly because i'm afraid i haven't got enough space to put in on display with all the rails and stuff.

20004 Indiana Jones BrickMaster Exclusive Review
metalandi replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for this great review hinckley! I agree with you this set has to be released as normal set. I just recognized how clever the building technique is, you couldn't see that on the packaging shots we got before. Hopefully i'm able to grab this off ebay or somewhere else sometime! -
I'm confused..will 3200 or 2000 be the price? Anyway 3200 would only be approx. 270 euros, that's quite good!

The swing when you're winning album is great! Actually the only one i like fro RW. For me it's at the moment: Milla Jovovich - The Alien Song Didn't know she was making music until yesterday, but it's great!
-
I really like that! Espacially do i love how you built the upstairs and how you can go to the roof level. Great detail! Has a little bit of a lotr feeling to me, the goblin guy and the outside reminds me on the swamp in lotr 2 (was it 2?). I assume you got a little inspiration from 4754 Hagrid's Hut ?
-
That's what i wanted to hear. So, pre-built minifigs for display in the box, but the chess board itself is yet to be built. Now i just have to gain some money to get this
-
I just realized TLG used about the same building technique as rupi used in his 5th comic regarding the top 10 most hated Pieces: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rupi/Top...uards_comic.jpg That's hilarious!
-
Wow, that's quite interesting. Them posting the instructions makes it more likely for me, that it will be released to the public, actually. Let's see what happens! Going to check out the instructions to this lovely set

Cool to see this around here again. It's also one of my favourite new sets, i really like the little guard house. Also it's got a great feature which would be that you can assemble the 3 main parts differently to make it look like a little castle. I had luck to get this on ebay earlier this year, it's not too common cause it was a limited edition. By the way, try to make the photos with different lighting and maybe hold the button of your camera a little longer so the focus is really right. I also experienced problems with that in the beginning, but finally i got it sometime. Looking forward to the review of the ship.

wow already 341 bucks. That's wayyyy too much for my budget...well. someday i'll own one! I want this set since ages, but it seems it isn't around too often.

You are an exception yourself man, cause you used them in your comic and it actually looks good
