  1. Mine apparently hung up on a read-only .pdf file that I'd saved in the installation directory it seems; nothing to do with modding - once I removed that and redid the installation all was ok.
  2. Is anyone else suffering from missing parts once the download and installation has been completed? The bog-standard minifig torso has completely disappeared from mine, on both normal and extended modes; and in extended there is also a slew of parts that can't be placed into the usual part groups and so end up dumped into default "unplaceable" groupings at the bottom of the parts menu. There's no sign of the downloads being interrupted at any point during installation, so I'm pretty confused as to how it's managed to screw itself up so thoroughly... EDIT: Nevermind, have wiped it and reinstalled from the ground up...
  3. Hahaha just keepin' it real! ;)
  4. ...or never. :/
  5. Classic Space Futuron Space Police I Blacktron I M-Tron Can't stand most of the lines released after this, and even M-Tron is a little on the edge thanks to the proliferation of fluorescent green/yellow trans pieces (big fan of the magnets though!)
  6. Edit: found the answer to my original question :D The only problem I appear to be having now is due to LDD's own method of writing lxfml files -- where I have custom decals named 00506.png for example (yes, I have a LOT of decals, since native LDD has so few!), it saves the file and the decoration string points only to "506", omitting the zeroes. It means everytime I want to render a file in BR I'd need to do a temporary copy of the lxf file and modify it by hand to point to all the correct decoration filenames. Not insurmountable,to be sure, but certainly annoying, and a totally pointless move by TLG as far as I can see. That and an issue with transparent bricks - is there a quick answer to how to make them render trans, or is this not something that can be fixed? Absolutely love seeing so far what people have been able to do with BR - just a fantastic app (and one that won't kill my poor laptop!). Can't wait to start showing my own off too :D Cheers!
  7. Well I'm English, and while there may be a few typos, the message came across very clearly. We're not all so lucky that we're raised in a country where the international maritime / business language also happens to be the national language! (and I have to be honest, I don't speak a word of Italian and my French is atrociously mangled these days!) Lego-Art-Italy I have to agree about the lack of battle damage - it's a good idea to apply some more variations in colour/texture (and maybe a few holes in the structure by removing plates) to give a sense of damage & decay. :) I won't comment about the sand, except to say that I don't like it. It's coarse and it gets everywhere. :D
  8. Has anybody tried contacting them over Twitter? Companies tend to respond a mite bit more quickly (and more importantly here, accurately) to customer queries while under public scrutiny. No offence to TLG, but the customer service response so far has clearly been pretty misinformed one way or the other. I'd do it myself but abandoned Twitter months ago as I never had time for it!
  9. You must be rolling your joints wrong. ;)
  10. They've already been emailed, and gave the same response, as per Lyicher's earlier post in this very thread. If I were TLG I'd be highly tempted to delay the release of the update, purely so as to teach certain users about the benefits of having a sense of patience...
  11. Nice! I love the detail work on the engines & cargo pods :)
  12. If the process that the team normally adheres to is that they ensure both old and new variants can be accessed, as we've seen plenty of times before without having to specifically make a request, then it would seem this has not been done in this instance by whoever updated the wall piece. That to me represents a deviation from (and therefore failure to adhere to) the regular process. Hopefully this one will get resolved soon in any case, since as you say it's now been raised. Thanks for your insight!
  13. And this approach is very much appreciated - but unfortunately makes it that much more vexing when someone on the team fails to adhere to that method!
  14. Has the original 4865 panel 1 x 2 been moved to a different category in this way, or has some "clever" individual completely erased it in favour of the updated version with rounded edges? (It appears the latter, and if so I have a few words in mind for said individual... )
  15. Agreed! Without the Thrawn trilogy re-igniting interest and showing Lucas that the fanbase was still desperate for more, I think we'd never have had the prequel films and all the other EU stuff that came along (uhh, on second thought, maybe Zahn shouldn't have published after all! ) I'd dearly love to have read a Zahn version of the Clone Wars, instead of what we got with the prequels...
  16. ^ It is somewhat annoying - if they modify an existing piece, the sensible thing to do should be to test that it "works" before applying it to the update patch...
  17. Holy cow, that's awesome!
  18. Point of fact, some (in the last update, at least) are 256x256. :)
  19. Awesomesauce!
  20. Definitely improving :)
  21. Roughly correct, although IIRC the last Autumn update came in November, so it's subject to some variation.
  22. Oookay, then. Is there a particular reason you're expecting an update today?
