  1. LOL no argument from me there
  2. Thanks man! Yeah the interior is actually quite cramped- it's a problem I've often had with my MOCs as I tend to build following source material for the exterior and then sometimes add interiors as an afterthought lol Definitely agree about its use as Slave II though! It works fine as a Mandalorian ship for me, but not one of Fett's rides. :D
  3. Dug another old model out to give it a polish with updated Bluerender lighting... Not too shabby (though I prefer Slave I to be honest!) ETA: The cockpit and internals are for more easily accessible than on my Houndstooth Slave II Main Hold & Cell by Lego Blip, on Flickr
  4. Thanks all! @DrMuttonchops it does, although I never designed this for "real world playability" so it's fully encapsulated (didn't want my minifigs to suffocate in space because of gaps in the hull! ) Bossk has to make a bit of a leap to get into the cockpit (not to mention some contortionism to get into the seat...) and although it's not seen here, the enclosed space directly below the cockpit has a small bunk space.
  5. Thankyou! the Classic makeover is admittedly a bit more colorful than I normally go - even my 80s/90s Space MOCs get toned down a little to make them a little more "grounded" lol... Though IIRC, the original concept for the Betty was to have tiger strikes like the spaceships on sci-fi pulp novels of old!
  6. Endless hours of meddling, and I finally got Bluerender lighting setups to work just the way I want! I'm thinking I may have to redo her in Classic colors next... EDIT: Done it! I think I prefer the Classic Space livery, as it turns out... Anyone else?
  7. Here you go @jamie75, view of the rear: :) ETA: playing with internal lighting...
  8. Thanks! No other images to hand - this is an old Bluerender image, but I may stick it through it again later. The YV-666 does indeed slope on some sources, but the ones I was referring to primarily at the time didn't - much to my chagrin subsequently! Hahaha
  9. Old LDD build :)
  10. Dusted off an old Throne Room model in LDD while I was trying to recreate my old lighting setups in Bluerender; forgot to change the camera position to one a little lower to make Palpy a bit more imposing, but.. meh. This was a bit of a simple model done back in the day anyway, so I may have to rebuild it to a better scale at a later date!
  11. Or at least it would be, if I could get Bluerender's lighting setup to play ball again... Some of you may recall me posting this a while back: I noticed someone asking about Star Trek themed MOCs, so I thought I might get started on uploading a bunch of my other old SciFi themed Bluerenders, that were otherwise gathering hard drive dust and electrons. So hopefully, here is the first of a few... Anyone recognise what it is? I'm currently fighting a long and protracted battle with getting Bluerender lighting setups to go how I used to have them, but once I win I'll possibly try to get round to posting another view - this one was the initial attempt at replicating the view of a Star Trek fact files cutaway.
  12. I had a similar take when I started tinkering with LDD; redefining the division colors for my own models: White - Command & Control Red - Pilots and Drivers Yellow - Engineers Blue - Scientists Green - Medical Technicians Dark Grey - Security
  13. I love it, awesome job!
  14. Absolutely superb!
  15. Probably best to keep them in one thread I think... Those are nice renders. Is Stud.io much different compared to using Digital Designer? Love your avatar by the way! :D
  16. As Threepio would say; "Wonderful, wonderful!" Is that a cave entrance you've built underneath the landing platform?
  17. Thanks I like the method you used for the back torpedo room walls by the way; never would have thought of those! You doing anymore TWOK sets? I'd share it but none of the decals are built into the file so it'd lose some the effect (plus I'm still working on it - needs some changes before it's fit for public consumption as it was just a hasty makeover of my TUC bridge) You've just reminded me I need to get working on the turbolift door decals and a more accurate Scotty 'tache, too. Oh and hey, guess which movie scene?
  18. Hahaha, yeah I always thought the same about that face print :D I'd suggest the walls be extended vertically for your renders, M2M - being able to see the tops of the bricks kind of "takes you out of the scene". Either that or crop the outsides of the image. :) I did some renders of a bridge I put together some months ago (testing some custom decal applications), never got round to posting them but this one will give you an idea of what I mean:
  19. Yup, that's the one! :)
  20. Have you seen the TIE Shuttle that transports the Death Troopers to the surface of Scarif in Rogue One? Sounds like it'd be about right for your purposes...
  21. Wish I knew of an easy answer to this, but if I'm not mistaken you'd have to extract the 3d files from the .lif database and edit them - this would break the terms of the EULA however.
  22. This is an awesome CS build, I love those rockets! I think you may have reduced the photos a little too much though ;) Do you have a flickr gallery or something with the full size images?
  23. You've definitely got the aesthetic of 90s space lego down - this looks like it's of similar era to Space Police II :) My only suggestion is that you need to add at least one more colour, as it's a bit monochrome compared to most of the existing space themes.
  24. Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but is there a way to make specific bricks self-illuminating, ie like phosphorescent bricks in real life (for example the "ghost" piece used in old Castle sets)?
