Jurss' Workshop
1gor replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Somehow I was hoping that 8069 would be a kind of successor of 8455 set, but even tire proportions were off; at least your tire choice is much better -
Image that I have posted is a real F40, but I can (after several hundred hours) made proper lines but only with help of English wheel and made of metal. F40 is made from carbon fiber, so I'm not the right person for this...despite my dream car is made completely of steel and aluminum... 41999 was a (expensive) dream for me

Technic 2023 Set Discussion
1gor replied to Dami's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
here are average prices for brent barrel (oil) till 2023, so oil price is only dirty excuse (i hear it every day from local stores; based on them you don't water plants you use oil for that ) https://www.statista.com/statistics/262860/uk-brent-crude-oil-price-changes-since-1976/ -
Technic 2023 Set Discussion
1gor replied to Dami's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have noticed it... I know it is meant as fun...but still it is very expensive. I'm certain that there will be interesting new parts in Liebherr but they could be ordered separately when needed... -

I'm not planning to get it; I'm stuck with PF generation, despite that - physio therapy for my pet cost me twice the Liebherr price and when I must chose between pets and Lego, peys are priority... -

Liebherr 679.99€!!!! Liebherr 679.99€!!!!!!! -
Perhaps my experience could be kind of usefull here; the simplest way is to have central differential between axles and same ratio on front and rear differential; just put portal axle hubs with 12-20 reduction on axle where 107 tires will be... btw @MP LEGO Technic creations very interesting concept you chose for your project. During Christmas holidays i saw video of this (semi) autonomous future tractor and I wonder who will try to replicate it

42122 Cable Skidder
1gor replied to M_longer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
that skidder is very cool; i just hope that you will not be to influential on TLC; they might downsize Deere skidder to fit 9620 tractor from last year -
I was wondering when you will start to make Ginaf...and how you will make rear steering axle. looking forward buddy
-
Long ago I wanted to make F40 (despite I like 288GTO more). IMHO it is very hard to make better replication of this (now) legendary Ferrari (last one done under Commendatore)
-
Well, it is a compromise...on those skidders front tires are 30.5-32 (1877mm diameter) and rear are 780/50-28.5 (1525mm diameter) specifications are here: https://www.deere.com/assets/pdfs/common/products/skidders/msk768liiu-768l-ii-bogie-skidder.pdf front tires: https://www.heuver.com/product/b30500032fi26for00/30-5l-32-firestone-forestry-sp-26pr-tl rear tires: https://www.heuver.com/product/b78050285noa8ff200/780-50-28-5-nokian-forest-king-f2-sf-182a8-190a2-24pr-tt

it is not forbidden to dream and sometimes dreams came true...but as you pointed out it us good question how much torque can those new double joints handle... -

somehow I have a feeling that this 5L woth CV joints at both end would be used on 42160 Audi RS Q e-tron -

Agree completely, it should have been 4 studs long (axle end 3 studs long)
