Well IMO at least the ISD is recognizable and isn't a patchwork of colors. Yes, they messed up with the bridge, but it isn't that bad overall. With this...it's so random and blocky :-X At least it's a good source of Red though

I don't know, I still can't get over the number of different shades of Red in the RC :-X And the blockyness...and meh. I wasn't expecting them to be amazing, but I was expecting them to be better than this :-/ The figs are the only saving grace, really...

Hm, it has a tinge of white. I guess they were just looking for a place to reuse the mold so it didn't feel like as much of a waste? I've thought of a couple of small ideas, actually. Fitting it in a chrome lightsaber it could make for a really nice crystal fantasy blade. Also upside-down it could make for icicles. And in space MOCs a bunch together might make for a nice energy bit for a reactor core, beginning of a laser beam (a bunch together...a bundle), or even for an engine or something. I can't wait to get my hands on them X-D

Well, you wouldn't have it in your collection anyway! Unless you had already bought it from Ebay or Bricklink ;-) This piece was never made available in any Lego set.

One thing though, sadly there are no close ups. I can see how it was done, but...I would love a few more thorough pics. Does anyone know if any more exist on a different account or site?

Well, I mean from the pictures the red is pretty uniform on the ship. Two colors of red I could see for maybe some wear and tear...but three? I was looking forward to a nice source for Republic Red ;-)

I believe there's a plate to raise them up...it's the only way it would work, but not plating the tops was just cheap :-/ Also... Edit: Hm...text was hard to see. It says "What color is this?!" It's on normal red, but even brighter.

Cute little set. I'll definitely have to pick this up. I love how this set reminds me of pirate sets back from the early 90's

I'm not saying that. If you look at the pictures, there are too many inconsistancies for my taste. Too many things that don't look professional (the lightsabers and lack of CGI being foremost). I'm not saying these are prelims, I'm saying these could have been made up

Hm...very interesting. I guess time will tell, but that doesn't look real to me. Not only are the lightsabers cut way too short, but the whole model looks thrown together. It looks like a poorly done MOC. Not to mention the use of basic bricks, lack of new mold bricks (which we've come to expect from SW) and the fact that it's a real model, whereas all magazine shots are CGI. I could be totally off though. Either way nice find. Edit: Also considering...the first pics in an English TRU magazine? Nothing from Europe first like normal? And how'd it sneak into a flier already without being available anywhere else first? It just seems suspicious, though I'd love to be wrong.

There's actually a little trick for keeping decals on. Apply a THIN layer of nailpolish remover to the torso, then let it dry. It'll be a little shiny, but that decal will stay on so well you could throw it in a bin of your other figs and have it come out okay. If you want it on a clear background, Kaminoan runs a printing service using waterslide decals. He tends to charge $1US/decal
