what is the least favorite game you have ever played?
Starwars4J replied to casewindu's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Nope, Assault was closer to a typical Star Fox game (though still a joke), but Adventures was....eh -
Welcome, Optikal! I'm sure a certain City Mayor around here will be happy to hear about your town fascination. I can't wait to see your MOCs *y*
-
Yup, so I'll close this for now :-) Feel free to post about it in the link Simon so kindly provided though!

Absolutely. This is a bit silly, I don't think anyone would say the little tyke should've been killed. I am curious, however, (as I don't know anything about this story) why the bear was rejected by his mother?

I definitely would have put him in a suit! Sadly the heads from the bionicle figs can't really fit on the torsos of normal figs. The base starts out the same thickness, but gets thinner (tighter) further up, so it would be balancing on the top of the neck, and look really weird

LEGO theme in the bbc coverage of the budget
Starwars4J replied to stan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hopefully it will be up on youtube soon :-) -
Hehe, excellent photoshopping skills, Bonaparte X-D And I figured that the weird shadow in front was a prospect of the bad lighting at my home, it was directly overhead, the shadow is the barrel of the lens :'-( I need to set aside a place to take pictures...the kitchen table just doesn't cut it :-P

Thanks. It's a great name...for a private ship. This is supposed to be a prototype of a ship that will be mass-produced, and if I called it a "Void" fighter, I really WOULD be stealing from Star Wars :-D
-
You trickster! Beautiful vig though, but I have to wonder why the man is playing a prank on the soldier. Does he have a death wish? ;-)

People are so quick to throw around the term "racism". This isn't racism, it's favoritism towards a larger market. Is it fair? Absolutely not! I guess they figure that the US is more Star Wars oriented, as it is a US franchise, similar to how SB is being handled (I'm surprised there isn't as much outrage as that).

No, this is about the chrome gold 3PO, 10000 of those. Now as for the real gold figs? (well, gold plated), there will only be five, can you imagine how high the price for those would be on Ebay? I'm betting closer to $1000US

Well could you be so kind as to post these pictures? :-P From this review they don't seem to be removable...and they never were in the past.

Greetings from Singapore ...*wave*

Welcome to EB, always nice to have a long-time lurker start posting :-) I look forward to seeing you around the board -
Sadly no. In magnet sets, the legs are glued to the torso :-/

Luminara would be great, a nice way to get her headpiece... *wub*

We already had pictures waaaaaaaaaay back of the 5 Gold droids :-P Thanks anyway though. As for the US-only thing Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh- er, I mean I'm sorry guys 8-| On a serious note, starting a petition would be a good idea. Especially since we have this wonderful new Ambassador's forum! If anything, it should go there. Who knows, they might do a second 10k droid run for europe if it gets big enough. We can advertise it on other sites as well, or rather get other sites to do it, and have each one link to the petition at all the others. Of course each person can only sign it once.

Well, I draw a certain amount of inspiration from Star Wars (mainly since it was the first science fiction work I saw as a child, and really got me into the genre). The similarities end with the fact that there's an Empire and a Rebellion in "my universe", or at least they're supposed to. If you can help suggest some way to make it less Star Wars like, it would be appreciated :-) So what kinds of shapes do you prefer for fighters? This shape is staying as-is for this baby (well, removing the thing connecting the bubble cockpit to the body, and redoing the engines and wings, but I'm sure you mean the overall shape, regarding the round body and bubble cockpit), but it's always nice to know what other people are like in respect to space preferences. And I am planning a SHIP that is somewhat similar, having the top two floors in a large dome of sorts ;-)

I'd say because of this: :-P

Of course you CAN play Zelda: TP on your GCN, but who would want to? :-D gameplay is so much more fun on the Wii. As for Wii sports, if you loved that so much, have you considered getting Wii Play?
-
This definitely has inspired me! What a fantastic use of a piece that I wasn't aware of :-P I'll need to find some on BL now. I do plan on eventually making a "museum" of sorts out of my rarer parts, and this will work perfectly for display! Also, it seems perfect for displaying those favorite MF you might have, but want to protect. Thanks for sharing this!
-
Thanks for the kind words everyone, I sort of have to do some sort of afterparty scene now :-D
-
I'll definitely have to give that a try. Like I said, it's a simple little technique (which I need to edit into the first post :-D) which can help the sort of bland monotone sword look just a bit cooler. Silver or black on the golden katanas is a great idea (especially since we'll be getting 4 of them in one set!)
-
Well, maybe a little too simple in the blaster :-P But I don't want to go overboard and give it shoulders like someone had suggested :-D An army of them? They use relatively few parts, I'm sure I could design it in Lego factory and just order them when I have some spare time and cash! Otherwise I'm totally out of the bley 1x1 brick with 5 studs.
-
Well, as for the secondary color, maybe I will in a future project. This is the prototype for now ;-) though I admit the dark blue and dark bley doesn't mix as well as I had hoped (probably due to the blue part of the blue/grey). I considered connecting the parts in the back, however I couldn't find a way to do it that looked nice. I'm probably completely redoing the engines and wings anyway though Thanks, it's not as small as it looks, and is the largest fighter I've built to date (then again I have just started seriously MOCing :-P ). Overall I have a lot I'll be changing, thoguh I'm trying to keep the original concept there. I just need to figure out what to do about the engines, and how to slim down the connections between the cockpit bubble and the fuselage. Thanks for the comments everyone!

Throughout the thread, that's been an area of contention. It's a quality control issue that's rather new. It's not "supposed" to have those annoying circles, but it's like that for everyone's sets. :-/
