It's finally time! it's finally here! The culmination of the fight of the century that you've all been waiting for! Sinner vs. Hinckley Remember that these folders are in no particular order, and either one could have been either one. Also, the pictures have been edited so that no apparent differences exist as far as photography. Please remember to vote just for which MOC you like more, not who you like me (because there's no option for me) Here's the first MOC! Folder And here's the second MOC! Folder Both beauties 8-

I'm about to make the topic :-$ And Commander Andrew, welcome to EB! One question, why'd you create two accounts? -
Check my first post :-P

Happy Birthday guys :-)

Great review, but I just really dislike this set and it's brother (the Republic Cruiser) sooo much. For this set they should have tiled the doors... The K3PO is the saving grace of this set for me. The snowspeeder is a giant pile of crap because in a set this cheap a real snowspeeder wouldn't be cost-effective. They just shouldn't have put one in at all and included some more rebels and snowies instead...

I remember that well...his first MOC after coming out of his dark ages (I think) was a Breast Pump for his wife :-D Excellent choice

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?

Yes but they're so expensive! And aren't there only two special kepis? Dark blue and red? Or are there new ones now? *wacko* -
Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?
Starwars4J replied to Turaga of Force's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well this is a relatively new process that they've taken up, which is why (I believe) they just use trans-clear now-a-days Well, it's not all bragging rights and that kind of shallow stuff. Some people are just collectors. I'm a collector :-P You don't have to show it off and go "hahaha look what I got" for it to make you happy, being a collector means that having it makes you happy. It may not make sense to a MOCist, but it makes sense to us :-) Just a matter of personal taste. Of course some people will brag about it, but that's human nature to a degree, the same way that some people might brag about their MOCs -
Okay guys, they finished their MOCs and asked me to post them so that the pictures would be anonymous. So please vote based on which you consider to be the highest quality MOC out of the sets made available to them (as found in this thread) Without further ado Entry 1: Entry 2: More pics of entry 2 can be found in the folder

Grand Moff Viceroy: I've warned you about your spam before, and I'm warning you again. If you don't stop it you won't be posting at all. Coming into a thread to do nothing but be nasty and negative isn't nice. If you don't share his opinion, fine. But this thread is about his MOC. You had nothing to say at all about his MOC, but rather went off-topic talking about how you dislike videogames :-| Good for you? If you want to talk about that, this isn't the place for it. Knock it off.

That's the guy I got my red one from, I made a joint deal to get a clear one as well. You'll soon be mine, darling *wub* The woman who runs the store (Magicbricks) is really nice, and I have to vouch for how fast she ships things out, I usually get them within a week even though she's in Germany and I live in the US. If anyone hasn't gotten the new trans-GitD shroud I'd recommend it also, it glows brightly *wub*

Well it was a nice thought, remember to do a search when creating topics to be sure the info isn't out there already, but I do like the initiative ;-) Closed.

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?
Starwars4J replied to Turaga of Force's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, I've seen the blue visor but I've never heard of it. Blue isn't normally a color used for prototypes (red and trans-clear are normally what's used) so that is either a very odd special color (normally when they produce special colors for events like LUG events they're made in enough quantities so that there are a few in circulation at a time), or it's a fake... This is entirely possible. How hard would it be for someone to paint a part and call it a rare part? Remember to check their feedback in advance, and see how reliable they are. Asking around never hurt either. I've been tempted by the blue visor, but something's just telling me to stay away from it. Well you were right about trans-clear being the most common, and it makes sense. Red was also used, but that's mainly for the older parts (such as the ghost shroud), I guess because the stress marks would show in a stark contrast against the red, or maybe red was just cheaper back then than it is now. I believe it does have to do with what you mentioned though, dyes do have differing molecular structures may make a difference. I'm not sure. -
Welcome to EB, I'm sure you'll find it a lot of fun here :-)

Nice, this is a fun little tribute I agree, the blood thing is somehow funny to me as well :-D

I'm pretty sure they meant an in-universe explanation ;-) And besides, squid launchers...playable? *wacko*

PM sent (felt it's not really appropriate to talk about that in the middle of a thread :-P)
-
I didn't say that, I asked you what the purpose was to pin it if you didn't want other people entering. *yoda* pinned the Sinner/Hinckley thread because those two go at it like an old married couple and he brings him amusement :-P You just wanted it pinned because they got it pinned...which doesn't make any sense *wacko*

It's not as if they intended to hide the fact that it's a rip-off, I'd say it's more of a parody myself. They don't seem to attempt to deceive anyone at least :-D I just don't see why we need other sites now that BS is back up for good. BS is great in the fact that it's simple, we don't need a lot of different interfaces and features.

I went to the panic supply store, but they were out :-/ Seriously though, enjoy August, whatever it brings :-)

It's not fun getting caught, is it? |-/ And all I can think of is this: *wub*

How'd you do that? You put in another [ u ] to get rid of the underline? How evil >:-) I like these, they have an interesting call back to the first generation of Bionicle. The hands are really simple (which I personally don't like on a MOC, but I think work nicely for a retro set), and the same for the feet. Hewkii just looks great, a real tough customer, though the swords look a little small in comparison to the body. Matoro looks great too, that really weird hunched-over look works nicely with the gigantic head, or rather gigantic gas-mask :-P The forearms look a little bare, but I love the color scheme. Overall I think these are really great, with nice throwbacks to the original generation, however they still seem a bit complex and bulky by comparison for that look (if that's indeed what you were going for at all). Nice job
