  1. It's a fact of trading and selling. It's always happened, and it always will. As long as there are people willing to pay those prices, I'm sure there will be people selling them for those prices. It's perfectly fair, too. If they did their research, they'd know better ;-) "Buyer beware" and all
  2. *jawdrop* Phenomenal...very nice designs *wacko*
  3. If you really want to share the images, you can always join Brickshelf to share your images ;-) And welcome, it's nice to meet a fellow Senior :-D
  4. Keep in mind a low-quality video montage will naturally make the graphics seem much less capable, but don't forget that the DS can barely touch N64 graphics, let alone GCN or Wii graphics. There will also be some time while the devs are getting used to the Wii, when they learn to unlock the full potential using programming tricks, I'm sure we'll all be awed ;-) FF3 on ds prooves it can actually touch the N64 ones... Actually it's closer to GCN graphics, far surpassing anything on the N64. But there's a reason for that! In those screens with the AMAZING graphics you've seen, those are videos that come up rarely where the bottom screen shuts off and puts BOTH processors into work for the one above screen! In regular gameplay it isn't as amazing, but it's still pretty amazing in it's own right ;-) I can't wait to get it Actually, while they look good, they're still a little blockier than the N64, especially Mario 64
  5. Awhile ago, someone would print up hundreds of bar codes of the Millenium Falcon on stickers, go into stores and place HIS barcode (that he copied from one original set he bought legitimately) over the real barcode. However the barcode he placed over was from a $10US set! So he bought literally HUNDREDS of Millenium Falcons from stores around the US for $10US a piece, and sold them on bricklink! He was finally caught when an employee was paying attention, and they checked security cams
  6. How about the Flying Ninja Fortress since most have voted for it as their favorite Ninja Fortress. I've already destroyed all my Ninja sets and wasn't planning on doing any image reviews (I'm kinda tired of building them). Oh, but in regard to Robber's Retreat. I couldn't wait to go out and buy this set. I liked it better than Fire Fortress and Stone Tower Bridge (which I kinda regret not buying). I like the colors and I may have said this before, but it reminds me of the Forestmen of the Ninja world. The only thing it was missing was Green Ninjas. Whoa, sorry I didn't see this earlier :-$ I'm going home the weekend of the 29th of this month, so I'll make sure to do a review of it. Now I just need to figure out how to get all the dust off...(from sitting in my bedroom for years while I'm at uni). I've found that to be a huge problem with living so far from home. I don't want to disassemble them...but they get really dusty while I'm away :-/ Ah well
  7. I saw this yesterday, actually. It reminds me of the kind of thing I'd build when I was 6 or 7, just a lot bigger :-P Not really a huge fan of it, but you've gotta give an A for effort for whoever spent the time putting that monster together
  8. The AT-ST driver will be really expensive on BL, so I'd advise getting at least one of those, that way you get your money's worth ;-)
  9. Come to think of it, what WAS that guy's name? The one who pulled the MF scam? It may have been immoral, but you have to admit, it was ingenius. I just feel bad for all those people who ordered them from his Bricklink store who never got the product or the refund... *sad*

  11. I was browsing Classic-Space.com, and came across an interesting thread I thought was worthy of discussion. The original thread can be found here. Very interesting...
  12. I'm surprised no mention of bley ;-) I do agree though, espectially with Vikings heralding the rebirth of Lego. There are still a few things missing, the grand scenes they'd make with their scenes, the minicatalogues (I miss them :'-( ), the great alternate models, and most importantly the ability for people to make their own stories instead of the pre-fabricated stories TLG seems to be incorporating now. Where are you, Lego Maniac? But the construction techniques have gotten much better than they have been in years, in some slight instances, moments of brilliance have shown through, matching even the best MOCers. I just hope things continue in this vain and don't revert to the "bad old days"
  13. Yet another September birthday! Happiest of birthdays to you ;-)
  14. Welcome, I think you'll find the news on this site will make you go broke very fast :-P Enjoy
  15. A lego set :-P But seriously, anything can be a prize. Some prizes are just the pretige of having the winning entry, though these contests seem to get less entries for some reason :-| But a prize can be anything really, usually related to the contest.
  16. ah! finally some one who does not vote for the cruiser! :-P i almost thought this poll was all for nothing :-X yeah... those reviews of yours.... yeah... kinda like Loch Ness... everybody talks about them, but no one has ever seen them.... :-P People see Nessie, but I assume you don't want these pictures to also be out of focus and in poor lighting ;-) (I am seriously sorry about how long it's taken, I do have one SPI set with me that I could do a review of today though...even though it's just one of the small ones, it's my favorite by far)
  17. I'll remain optimistically skeptical until I see some more contrete proof. Personally I hoped the HDR looked a little nicer than that, anyway ;-)
  18. Hey, I admit that a lot of people love Zelda, and I had the NES and SNES games, but it just isn't for me, so... *blasphemes* >:-)
  19. I wonder if I could nominate Sith35 now that he's a member of these forums. I recently ordered 15 of his great helms, and not only did I get it delivered lighting quick, but he threw in a chrome gun! Excellent, definitely someone I'll deal with in the future ;-)
  20. Sadly there isn't too much in the way of release titles that I'm looking forward to. For me it's all about FE10 and SSB:B
  21. Saucer Centurion. It was not only functional, but holds a special place in my heart. I still have this baby assembled at home ;-) (it's one of the 20 reviews I owe you when I go home in around a week)
  22. Good god, jinzo, you said what I wanted to in a way I couldn't *slow clap*
  23. Well the official release date will be in January like always, but also following tradition, Lego will probably release them sometime in December ;-)
  24. Judging by the size of that thing it's doubtful he had one :-P
  25. Compared to now it was a golden age. You can't seriously compare domestic policy faults with a war... or two... I'm afraid that the US was already in decline at the end of the Clinton administration, but if we never got attacked, I'm sure we'd be in a much better spot than we are now! War plays pool with the economy
