It wouldn't be stealing, would it?

I don't get what's wrong with you guys that you think it's okay to take advantage of anyone... Besides, not all blondes are lacking in intelligence. Not all blondes are attractive. And there are definitely some attractive women who like Star Wars, trust me ;-) -
Sorry for the long delay, but I only have one of my old Space sets with me. If anyone has a good tip on dusting these older sets it would be much appreciated :-$ I'll be going home this weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to get the rest done, but until then...let's have a look at my all-time favorite set: Space Police I: Galactic Peace Keeper Currently, our Space Police officer has just left Space Lock-Up Isolation Base with a dangerous Blacktron prison in toe. The GPK is used mainly for short-range transport of dangerous prisoners, mainly used to keep a low-profile, being the size of a standard fighter. Destination is the Mission Command flagship of the Space Police. One of the most popular features of the GPK is the sleek profile, perfect for quiet transfers of prisoners Aerial view of the ship: On either side of the ship is a hollow compartment: Inside these compartments is the selling feature of the transport: conceiled weapons! Using the simple mechanism shown below, the weapons fold out, and up into attack position: S-foils locked in attack position ;-) : From another angle: Cockpit: Again: Here's how the prison module locks into the ship: A closeup of the modified 2x1 plate locking into the slots: The fit is actually pretty snug and doesn't come loose at all. Perhaps that's due to two of the connections. Here's the prison module that's uniform throughout the Space Police I theme From the front: From the side: From the back: Overall the ship is one of the best Lego ever developed! Compact size, creative building techniques, and unique ideas. Peeron lists the following data: Release year: 1989 Piece Count: 115 Price: $12 So the piece:price ratio is kinda bad, but for a set like this it's worth it ;-) Pieces: 10/10 <--The two large black corner canopies makes this set well worth it Playability: 10/10 Price: 5/10 Minifigs: 9/10 <--Two figs are perfect, you can't ask for more (except a specialized fig such as a chief, but those weren't around yet). I just can't justify a 10/10 for some reason Overall: 34/40 or 8.5/10 If you get a chance to pick it up if you get the chance

Actually there are three of us with all six sets. I was the second one who voted for having all six ;-)

It would make a hell of a tan parts pack, I can say that much :-P And only a parts pack ;-)

?He swapped out the barcodes right at the shelf? Sounds like he got too cocky. Youre supposed to either: -do it where there are no cams -do it as you are pushing your cart down the main aisle (yeah, it sounds like a bad idea, but you're moving so cams don't get any detail, and no one you pass by sees you for more than a moment so they don't pay attention to you)(it's also just plain unexpected, and they'd have to carefully check All the camera footage to piece together your full path...) sounds like he got caught because his massive sales record on bricklink blew his cover Greed was his downfall If you pay in cash, and only buy enough sets for yourself -not start a Business on it! you should be safe -no, I dont have any sticky barcodes, I just study security systems(any complex system) as a 'hobby'- Well, it was a particularly attentive person at the checkout counter who caught him. They just used security cams to confirm his presence at several other stores that mysteriously had sets go missing. -
Don't take a lack of posts as a sign of a lack of interest, rather look at it as a sign of awe ;-) And I agree with Yoda Take pictures, hurry you must *yoda*

You forgot what brillient parts packs the Exo Force models are though!

FIXED. (One on left) Here's me from just last week. Behold teh fatness! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2035292 Seem to be sportin' a chin... that's the chunkiest I've been in a LONG time. And... I don't give a crap lol. That had better be the extension for FireFox to have an IE skin Jinzo... :-P
-
Well, I assume a brown, black, or bley sheath would be more realistic, considering the materials they were made out of :-)
-
Well how long did they have it licensed for? And as for the cost, if they lost money on the line, they'd want to take as small a hit as possible and just pay for a license they wouldn't use, though I don't know how well they did on it.
-
awesome, thanks for the heads up! Question, I've never done this online before. Do I put all three items in my cart and they only charge for two, or do I only put two in my cart and they add a third? I'm guessing the first... Also, do they have to be two of the same item, or can they just be the same price? Thanks
-
None yet. You KNOW there would be a 9-page long thread if there was :-P
-
Well, it's time to shock you all with my picture. I guess it's about time, enough people have asked, but REMEMBR I do not take responsibility for any nightmares that result from viewing the following image I warned you <_<

And here I am in love with everything BUT the landscape! Well, that's not entirely true. I love the Native American homes, and the land, but that mountain is just... :-X I've never been a fan of BURPs. I love that monster, and the scene...it's amazing *wub* -
Nice idea! Though I'd love to buy one of the old LA sheathes... *wub* If you don't mind modding pieces, you can make a convincing one out of two 1x4 tiles
-
Well I have all the original systems, and original carts of the games that I'm interested in, so I'm good :-D I'd much rather play on the real system, there's just something about having a cart in your hands that makes it feel worthwhile to spend the money...(another reason I love Lego, it's tangible!) And welcome to the blaspheming club, Kiku :-P :-D So far we've got Mario and Zelda, now we just need someone for Metriod and we're done! But on a serious note, what did you think about the New Super Mario Bros. for the DS? It was a sidescroller too...but left me let down. The creativity was just gone. Sure, it went back to it's roots, however that doesn't mean it needs to be repetitive and boring!

Very nice take on a classic ship. Nice details too *wub*
-
I have a few of them gathering dust in my bedroom back home, but you know what I loved most about them? Their ABS cases *wub*

Fantastic review as always...and your personifications of the minifigs are always amusing :-D
