California's too far away so you ask on a largely European website? *wacko* Shipping from Cali to almost anywhere in the US should take less than a week...
-
Ah, gotcha. Well I do plan on adding a hatch, or door to it that can slide open and closed (important in case the turret gets destroyed) which should be pretty easy. There's a lot more left to do, I'm not done with the details yet :-D Thanks for the input
-
Yup, it's in the Space Docking Bay since it's a ship and not a mecha :-P This is a great MOC here, though I agree that the insides should be a little more protected. I really like the net holding things in, in the main cabin, but I'd also like to see the floor made a bit thicker for both protection and structural integrity Great job *y*

Thanks! :-) Subtle? 8-| Oh, sarcasm :-D X-D Wait till you hear about the system of artificial gravity for the turrets :-P The estimated dimensions are: 130 studs long 48 studs wide (not counting turrets) About 28 bricks high Thanks! What hatches are you talking about though? The doorways?
-
I'll get right on that? :-P Moved to Theater
-
Oh man do you need help X-D :-P Only people of rank Knight or higher can create a poll, due to a EB being spammed up with polls galore awhile back. You can ask someone to make a poll for you who has the appropriate rank, if it's important.

Thanks :-$ I'm planning for a total of 4 decks, the main deck you've seen, and the second "deck" is really just gonna be that secondary bridge that's removable. The third deck will have the crew quarters (I'm planning on bunk beds), a large bathroom (showers, stalls, etc.), a galley, and that's all I believe I'll have room for. The final fourth deck will just be a hallway for the missile launchers. When do I expect to finish it? I hope before next Christmas :-D Also keep in mind, the secondary bridge is barely even started, those 1/4 domes will be changed to trans-black, and I need to add computer terminals and the like. Thanks Will! Hm, well I am planning to add somethings to the wall (not hoses though, as you saw hoses are inside the inbetween space), but from what Sinner said, hangers tend to be pretty barren. I am going to add some asthetics though ;-) As for the engines, I almost have one completed. It'll be done soon, and I'll update with that.

Hey all, it's a New Year and I thought an update on my SHIP might be in order. First let me say that it's still a long, long way from being done, and most of the facade is unfinished. So yes, it still looks very boxy, but it won't be a thousandth as bad when all is said and done, okay? I realize how it looks like a giant floating rectangle right now, but it won't in the long run. Okay, here's the overview: One of the side turrets with a little greeblage: One of the hatches to access the turret from the inside. I still need to add a hatch in case of destruction of the turret, as well as a ladder. The other side: Engine room. Here we see the water refreshment plant: An engine, power converter, hyperdrive (hard to see, on the right), and secondary reactor: The gear mechanism to open the door. This will be there on all doors: The front section. The large empty front will be the primary bridge. The left in white, will be a small restroom, and on the right will be a small private conference room. Behind the conference room is a storage area through which supplies can be lifted to the next deck. Stairwell to the upper deck: Under the secondary bridge, which is removable to see the rest of the bottom floor is a small supply closet. A door still needs to be added. The hallway. Underneath the grates are greebled. It can be dangerous, so railings will be placed along the walkways. You can see a ladder to the secondary bridge. The hoses are snaked over and under the doors, which aren't finished yet: Where the ladder leads from the main corridor to the secondary bridge on the middle deck. Overall I have a long way to go, but hopefully it'll keep moving at a nice clip. I have some small things here and there to add to it when I finish things. There will be another two decks added with the dome on top, one of which will house personnel and include a galley and washrooms, the uppermost which will house missile launchers and stuff. There's also a curve on the front which I'm starting on. Gallery when moderated.

Remember to treat everyone with respect and leave the moderating to the staff please. Indy I'm afraid they were right in the fact that you're not taking anything as a learning experience. Please stop spamming all around and think more before posting or you won't be in an enviable position :-/

Well I've seen it twice, but two times isn't spam as he's saying something that contributes...though it is a bit annoying :-D Those are some really nice and accurate models, whoever built them has some talent *sweet*
-
Yes but he posted that before Hobbes answered. He wasn't asking again just now, he was clarifying what he meant, since he was misunderstood. Anyway since this was answered I'll close this to prevent more damage to Hinckley's head X-D

Hey Indy565, we try not to revive old threads (imded pointed out how old) unless there's something to add. Now this doesn't mean you can never revive an old thread, but just do it when there's a reason :-) Yes, I believe it is the oldest.

Well there are true customs, which involve painting, cutting, etc. Then there's a purist custom, which is a custom fig created from official pieces.
-
Great review Sandra, thanks for taking the time. I love the theatre and the town hall, and the married couple is just a cute little extra *wub* This looks fantastic not only for the model, but for parts as well!
-
Castle for both, hands down. A wonderfully inventive new theme with a strong return to their roots.
-
Well chrome is really, really hard to customize. It's an expensive process, so I doubt it was custom, however I can't find any part like this on BL so I guess it would have to be *wacko* edit: I guess I didn't search hard enough :-D
-
If you mean the model then yes, it's a MOC. That ring structure at the top has never been used in an official model.
-
Well not exactly, I'll move this to the General forum since this is asking about ANY set, he just related a Batman set as his :-)
-
No I'm behind the tree...Hinckley's in the black car across the street

Awesome, thanks for sharing and welcome to EB, oleth

Custom Plastic Max Rebo Casts For Sale
Starwars4J replied to SirNadroj's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hey, since this mostly turned into a thread for advice on customs I'm moving this to the customs Workshop. If you plan on making future sales of a polished, finalized product feel free to make a new topic in the BSTF forum :-) -
Indiana Jones Part 4 - Set Pictures are available
Starwars4J replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Licensed
Awesome, those spider/ants, all those dark green leaves...the only thing that leaves me really sad is that I thought for unanimated dead they were sticking with the old skelly bodies |-/ -
Oh I can relate there :-D He asked me if he could interview me, I said sure. Then the next day he sent me another PM... "HALOO?" I told him that I said yes already, and he sent me the questions. I answered them and like you, that was the last I heard of it :-P I say you interview Hinckley again for New Years. A lot can happen between now and then... X-D

Well the MP of the camera actually don't matter when talking about pics like these. That just matters if you're planning to blow it up in poster-size. What matters for you would be control, ISO, F-stop, etc. While some powershot cameras have some limited control, your next camera you should look into would be an SLR *y* Can't beat them

Awesome set, I love those new containers in a really useful color for space MOCs (that ugly brown from the Indi sets just doesn't cut it :-P), and so many useful parts! I think I'll have to pick my first town set in a while up X-D Thanks for the great review *sweet*
