Why do people complain about juniorization?
Starwars4J replied to Zuloon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well because there's no real need for juniorization. You just mentioned yourself "why not just buy brick buckets?", well that shows the problem right there. They're making their sets unappealing towards the MOCing audience...hell, the entire audience! Sure, they're 'easier' and faster to build, but at what cost? Sound construction? Sturdy structures? Unnecessary new molds which are not only harder to incorporate into a MOC but take away from new, potentially useful new molds, are another factor. We tend to dislike juniorization because it takes away from the heart and soul of what LEGO is, and that's building and using your imagination and creativity in new ways, rather than just building the picture on the box and calling it a day. -

The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus #5
Starwars4J replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Poor Iz, harassed by thirsty Ras like that :-D But I suppose in his place I'd have done the same thing 8-| Great job all around, one of the funniest yet. -
I definitely want a dark one ;-) I'm just glad they're still making them, that means in all probability they're here to stay, and I don't need to buy another sandcrawler, I can just wait for a nice small set with 3PO X-D Thanks for your help, guys!

Has anyone recently bought a sandcrawler? I'm just wondering because of that color substitution with the Pearl Gold 3PO (rather than light pearl gold), and curious if it's still happening, and if it will continue to happen in the future. So if you bought a sandcrawler recently (within the last month would be ideal) did it have the darker color substitution for the 3PO? Thanks!

Naturally I'm a huge fan of your customs, and while I'm in love with those chromed parts, I'm blown away by your sigfig. It makes sense for someone to spend the most time on their sigfig, but even taking that into consideration it's phenomenal. The paper (?) work is outstanding and detailed, and the decals look perfect. Glad to have you around, I hope to see more of your customs in the future :-)

Let alone a search, you might want to look at the pinned topics in this forum... Here's a full list of all user groups. Bad Kids are one step away from being banned, and are placed in the Chamber.

And closed :-) It seems Axle already created a thread

I'm not sure which I'm anticipating more now, these new sets, or the SWCW cartoon itself! Thanks for the news, Christian :-)

Actually your belt color depends on your height...you match it with your pants/shoes if you're long-waisted, and to your jacket if you're short waisted, but I always wear a brown belt with my navy suit...it looks right to me

I love this Daniel, great job! It really gives me the feeling of a castle, which is hard to achieve. I somehow get the feeling this is near water, no idea why though :-P This'll definitely be a contender for the prize

The Skeleton Tower has the red one, I think that's from the castle.

Where is 7036 Dwarves Mine From S@H???
Starwars4J replied to concreteasflesh's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I thought it was confirmed to be back in stock on S@H sometime in Jan? You're better off waiting for it to come back, rather than paying the ridiculous prices some people are trying to get for it -
Fantastic! :-D VERY creative with the walrus teeth and shovel. Another great "special" *y*

I somehow feel compelled to post this seemingly random picture: Awesome presentation, really made me laugh X-D
-
I did lock it, someone else made it impossible to view :-P I'm not entirely sure why, though...

"The Hobbit" Movie -- TLC's next license???
Starwars4J replied to Joebot's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Finally we'd get that trans-clear fig we've all wanted...though I still really want a trans-dark-blue fig :-/ -
I'd have to agree about the scar. Also a scar wouldn't be circular around the eye and have the eye still function, maybe change it's shape to a simple line or curved line? Also he has a very long face, I'm not sure if that's what you were going for? Great job though! :-)
-
Yes, it was restricted while we move things. This was mainly done because while we asked people not to post new MOCs in the YOC forum, you kept posting, even after they were moved :-|

You have a nice shape going on there, the main weakness I see here is with the underside. It's pretty plain, and the tubes are showing :-P Maybe try to greeb it up a bit. Also some small landing gear on this would probably be a good idea, it's big enough to easily fit some on. the yellow stripeage is nice, and makes for some nice color blocking. It's a very studs-up build which can either work for you or work against you, and a think a little SNOT-work would serve nicely to smooth out some of the curves. I love the launching mechanism you have there, looks very functional! Some light weapons would also appeal to the combat aspect of it. Great job overall, I can't wait to see more :-)

Alright guys, you've had your fun :-P Since this isn't actually Lego, I'll move this to community

Raiders of the Lost Ark Mechanic
Starwars4J replied to Vader's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Looks awesome, mate. The head looks great, he looks much more sinister. Now for the post-airplane fig X-D Also, are you still planning to redo this on thinner paper (not like I can tell the difference anyway), or have you called it complete for this one? -
You know what you get for asking :-P

Now that's what I call an introduction, Peter! :-D If only everyone did this... I'm glad you've stayed around EB. I hope you keep enjoying the forums, and if you ever have a question you can always contact me *y*
