  1. :-D :-D :-D I guess one of the writers for that show could be an AFOL
  2. I was recently browsing Classic-Space.com When I came across this thread which linked to a Lugnet guide to commonly used SNOT techniques which you can download here Some fascinating things in it, and while I knew many of the techniques, I found many new ones that I wasn't familiar with. I now have great inspiration for this new fighter I've been working on... Enjoy :-) SNOT On! (hm, just doesn't sound as good for this topic :-P )
  3. To be honest I was hoping for a huge one...about $100, with a few turrets, a wampa or two, and a hoard of snowtroopers/rebels. *sigh* I guess this is better for my wallet though
  4. Why was I not aware of this? :'-( Any idea how much it went for? If only one was made?
  5. One of the pictures in the folder shows how they're connected... as for the pun? I LOVE bad puns, and make an effort to make them as often as possible X-D So stop going ape over it 8-| This really is brilliant. You have a talent for creativity that isn't often seen.
  6. Not sure about an official name, but like you I always keep the ones that hold the coins together. It still looks like currency to me ;-)
  7. What a beautiful MOC this is! It's quaint, and yet full of life at the same time! I'm a huge fan of your windows on this piece, they make me want to experiment more with my current project (oh, if only you weren't 300 miles away, my project :'-( ) I agree the landscape could use a few tweaks, (but then again I can't landscape to save my life) but the overall majesty of this MOC isn't really harmed by it. I like that you weren't afraid to leave the rounded tower as just grey though. The "big grey wall syndrome" and I are old friends, and on most occasion I like to take the path of just using bricks at different levels id discoloration to try to give them texture, otherwise I don't worry about it. It's too much hassle to throw in dark grey pieces as well! And besides that, it never quite looked natural to me to have them anyway. Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of your MOCs :-)
  8. Heathen! :-P But really, thanks for sharing this wonderful little MOC with us. There's something about it that I love, the quaintness of it all I think. Now my respect for Norro when it comes to MOCs from this era is unsurpassed, but I actually like that it's not THAT busy. I do think a little more clutter would be a good idea, but not involving people. Maybe put a wagon wheel against a store. To get rid of the order maybe give one of the table three people to sit at, instead of both of them having two, maybe throw a child in there, etc. Lots of fun and easy ways to make it look more natural (it's actually my favorite part of MOCing). I'm in love with that marble tile around the square, and while the owls are a nice touch, if you have a kitten piece I'd throw that in somewhere (same goes for a dog). Can't wait to see more of your MOCs :-)
  9. Sure minifigs push up the price...but not that much. Either they're just trying to see what kind of prices they can get away with, or it's simply a pricing error.
  10. That brings up an interesting question: Does anyone know how well the Chess sets sold? Either the KKII Chess set sold so well that they decided to make the Viking one, or it sold so poorly they decided to give it one more chance. So did the Viking one sell well? I'd assume that would dictate whether or not we'd see another set. Since I don't like the new skellies though, I'd be willing to buy a set, and trade them for the human figs though :-) I just hope these knights have horses...
  11. Absolutely beautiful, but doesn't the dark grey clash with the light bley torso?
  12. Troy, you might want to try an idea I've been toying with. Instead of having the BF torso under the Euroarmor (a bit of a waste), why not throw in a generic chain mail suit under it, and apply a BF decal to the black Euroarmor? I've been meaning to do so for awhile (and talked with Kamino about it once or twice), but so far finances have kept me from it. Your BF army just makes me lose all hope in having a decent one though :-P
  13. Admiral 4J to Lord *vader*: My Lord, I'm currently trying to find a group of Rebel sympathizers who could potentially prove threatening. I've heard news about a small group in the Incom Corporation, though I haven't found anything to back it up yet. Rebel use of the Z-95 Headhunter-class fighter are raising my suspicions though.
  14. Actually Sith != Dark Sider. There are only two Sith at a time. Period. There are however Dark Jedi and Dark-side force users. Sith is a lifestyle almost. You're a sith if you use the dark side and are trained in the sith ways and traditions. That's why Jacen can't be a true Sith, nor can those new ones from the Legacy comics. There was even a panel someone showed me online of the force ghosts of old sith mocking the new sith, saying that they were "merely sith in name". I'm not a comic person though, so I don't know the whole storyline.
  15. I can't do that :'-( Though the temptation will be great. I actually am considering bringing all of them to a really accurate scale to weigh, and open the heaviest :-$
  16. Hehe, I actually downloaded this to my computer a few months ago. It's pure brilliance :-D
  17. It's a shame it doesn't have more of those gold pillars...I'd want ideally about 18-20 of them (just in case), but...only coming in one set, and there only being one in that set...I bet they'll be too expensive to get more than two of :-/
  18. They probably just felt like all grey/dark grey/black wouldn't appeal to children, so they threw a color in. Red, yellow, green...none would've gone well with it. Blue was probably the best choice.
  19. Meh, I enjoyed KK1. It brought us some wonderful parts. Kettlehelm, silver dragon helm, interesting faces...
  20. Hope you get to see this, Happy Birthday! Hope it's a great one!
  21. Wonderful! The one thing I wish I could see is how the whole thing looks from the outside. How did you make the inside available? split down the middle? Can't wait for the folder to become public :-)
  22. Not in my eyes. Only three things catch my interest. The human drilling machine, the cheap human fighter, and the human dropship (pft, xenoism...)
  23. Very interesting and well done. I got stuck as to where to click after I purchased the gun though :-P I'll try it again when I don't have an exam I'm procrastinating from
  24. I voted for Piratebricks.com as it's simple, easy to remember, and does the job. Next I would've picked "System-Pirates.com" except that name just didn't do it for me for some reason.
