Nice new colour combination! Looks as good as the original colour scheme! Your moc reminds me constantly of the BLUE square in the American flag with the WHITE stars.

I'm not sure any more, but I think this was the first castle set I had with the ghost that glows in the dark after holding it under a lamp. I really wanted that ghost, because it was something new at that time. It's really a nice set. The only problem is that you can attach the ghost's "house" to other castles on only one side unless you remove the plate with clip that holds the lance. However, it is not a big deal to remove it, of course!

I watched a lot of cartoon series as a kid and in my teens. I still enjoy watching an episode of my childhood cartoons from time to time. So when I saw the topic of the thread, Nega Duck, the villain from Darkwing Duck, crossed my mind. He's so incredibly mean and afraid of nothing and no one.

As long as you get replacement parts for free, I think it's no big deal. I also found some quality problems in my Market Street set. A 2x2 brick showed some sort of scratches on its top, but only if you looked at it good enough. Some dark blue 1x2 bricks were not as dark blue as the other bricks. And on two plates there is a dot in their centre, a relict from the moulding process. I haven't informed LEGO about that yet.

I got Market Street 10190, which was no surprise because it was a present bought by myself for myself. A real surprise was Beach House 4996; a very nice set. My sister was hunting for Town House 4954 for me, but she started her hunt much too late, namely on Dec. 19th. Everywhere she looked it had been sold out. Ebay didn't occur to her, and she found amazon too expensive because of the shipping costs. So 4996 was the alternative she came up with. I'm satisfied with that one too. ...plus a bit of cash and a box of sweet stuff to eat.

Normally I build alone. My brother used to build with me sometimes, and I know he liked it, but his interests have shifted. I can remember that I left the caboose of Holiday Train 10173 for him to build, but that was quite a while ago. Also quite a while ago I can remember a little competition we had: I had bought Santa Fe cars 10022 and 10025. I said that the quickest builder was the best builder. Mean as I am I gave him the set with more bricks in it on purpose, but he won nevertheless. *lol*

Wonderful review of a stunning set! I hope we will see it on S@H everywhere soon.... though I won't be able to buy it immediately. There are some other sets that I still have to buy like Cafe Corner.

Nice review! What I like about this set is that wonderfully useful stuff like the bench and the traffic light has been added.

Welcome to our community! I think your age isn't a problem as long as you know how to behave... and it sounds as if you do know how to behave. Do you mean MOC? It means My Own Creation. There are some good moccers around here, myself not included, unfortunately. But I think you can learn from those moccers quite a lot. Just check this forum frequently.
