  1. The two ships might not be from the same set, you know. It's promotional poster. Why don't people like the white ship? I love the design... it really feels like a fighter.
  2. Oh, not me. I want new torsos. And I want them to kick as much megablocks as the SPII ones did. Oh man guys- you can actually kind of SEE the Space Police figs through the cockpit! Look, you can see sunglasses and a helmet. Not much, but you get an idea of where the direction is headed.
  3. The timing is strange for me, because I was too young for LEGO when the Space Police came out. I've actually just RECENTLY started collecting Space Police II sets (I've got a Rebel Hunter, and I love it). I plan on completing my collection of SPII and then bearing down in the third wave like a leopard over it's prey. If all the sets are as good as those two ships, then I'm definitely hooked. I just hope the Enforcer is better than the Hypersonic Operations Aircraft, which had way too many weapons and a somewhat clunky design.
  4. Quite a happy turn of events for all, especially us Space fans. I'm glad you have such sharp eyes. I don't know about you, but I'm pumped to see the Galactic Enforcer.
  5. It varies. Some sets have changed two months before release. Others are done years in advance. In this case I think I've heard from another source the the SP figs used city police torsos, and this Tie pilot torso on the badguy implies that they're not finished. Power Miners had MM torsos until a little before release. Decals seem to be last on the list of things to do in theme design.
  6. Hey now, don't disrespect us few spacers. I absolutely agree. This looks like hyperspeed pursuit.
  7. I have plenty of trans-orange canopies from Mars Mission.
  8. Amen. Maybe LEGO's not finished with the suit decals.
  9. Okay, under closer examination I've decided that this is a VERY promising taste of the new Space Police. 1- The thing that sticks out to me most is the new logo. It's an awesome blend of badass, retro Space, and new shiny. Love it. 2- Another thing that immediately caught my attention was the design. The alien hotrod looked REALLY well realized, with some great aesthetics and the concept is just so cool... also, that Space Police fighter looks great. Not too many gimmicks, and awesome design. Love it. 3- The aliens look great. I still prefer UFO but this is awesome. 4- The colors are acceptable! This is what I expected; not too original, but I'm perfectly fine with them. 5- The gimmicks we all knew would appear seem pretty well integrated, even though I still wish they had abandoned the idea altogether. All in all I can't think of a negative thing. Two thumbs up from me!
  10. Is that... ...a megablocking SPACE HOTROD?! HOLY TAFT
  11. That's interesting, but it would never work for Bionicle.
  12. That's crazy!
  13. MM seems to shine in it's ground vehicle selection.
  14. This is the 09 Star Wars set I was ever interested in... I won't get it, but for a change the construction actually looks pretty good.
  15. Summer 09 Agents, Space Police, and Power Miners are the waves that have me excited the most.
  16. I think this set looks terrible. The flick-fire missile abuse is so obvious, and the design is really sloppy. The actual ship from the movies was sleek and cool looking, but this just looks like garbage. I refuse to buy a set with a huge totem pole of flick-fire fail jammed into the top of it. I had high hopes for this set, too. Oh well- good review, anyway.
  17. I don't collect Town/City, but I gotta admit this set is really detailed and beautiful. I won't get it, since I'm saving money for the Space Police, but this is a wonderful set.
  18. Brilliant. Now you need to make lollerskates.
  19. I hate Star Wars, but this one looks unusually good.
  20. They don't really bug me that much.
  21. Hopefully, but even if the aesthetics are acceptable, I don't doubt somebody here will be able to come up with something better.
  22. Nothing's more depressing than imagining the fearsome Glatorian uttering such cheesy lines.
  23. That's true. Maybe, after pics have surfaced, we can have a contest about what Space Police III SHOULD have looked like. :P
  24. Good point on the color scheme.
