  1. Ooh!! So many CHOICES... I'd go with either Aquazone, Adventurers, or Harry Potter... I can't decide, but I have a lot of nostalgic love for Harry Potter, so I'd probably go with that, even though I don't think it's the best theme.
  2. One of the best Hogwarts Castles imo. Harry Potter's strengths and weaknesses seemed to come through in spades in this set: Great exclusive parts and awesome minifigs, but gappy construction and a ton of arches. In this case though I think the set gets more right than it gets wrong. I love the Death Eater heads- I bought several of them for a $1.70 off of Bricklink. Great design there! The other minifigs are quite strong too. So are the awesome little exclusive parts... and I had no idea it came with a greenhouse! I think I want to pick this set up now. Great review. :)
  3. That would be nice, however I wouldn't count on it.
  4. Would have LOVED that, actually. Holo-cuffs or something. I really wanna get a look at Max Security Transport...
  5. That's hardly a spoiler. He dies in the first few seconds of the film.
  6. Got this set. I too think it's the best that PM has to offer. Especially being one of the cheaper ones. Nice review.
  7. Depends on how you look at it. Creator is basically just a parts supplement with several building ideas. It's meant to foster imagination. Model Team is different- it's basically a City version of the Ultimate Collector's Series.
  8. Everything prior to 2001 Space could be considered classic imo. And yes there is a difference between classic and Classic.
  9. I think this depends on how modern is modern. Even figs in the 90s had detail and interesting designs. Hell, Ice Planet 2002 had some of the most detailed and cool looking minifigs ever.
  10. The Mech doesn't impress you? For shame. That is easily the best Mech we've gotten in a long time... way better than Exo-Force.
  11. I voted "maybe a few". I think that there is some definite improvement with certain minifigs, such as Space, Pirates, Castle, etc... but some themes (mainly Star Wars) have been coming out with the ugliest minifigs I've ever seen. Clone Wars FTL.
  12. This is true, but that still doesn't mean LEGO can't make it good.
  13. I thought it was August?
  14. There's a couple new steampunk MOCs that need to be indexed.
  15.    (using wink faces makes me more credible)
  16. And why on earth must a kid's set be poorly designed?
  17. Not really, the big three are City, Castle, and Space, since Space has had a far more abundant run than Pirates.
  18. That's cool. I like all of these throwbacks.
  19. As much as I love 2009, the commercials suck REALLY bad.
  20. I think I knew that, too. What did I didn't know is exactly where classic space appears in agents.
  21. ?
  22. Haha, Blacktron graffiti! What an awesome nod to the old classics.
  23. I'm a Spacer at heart. I love the science fiction worlds that LEGO has created. They're loose enough to allow for imagination but interesting enough to have some kind of story. I also pick up other themes from time to time for my MOCs. I dislike Star Wars very much, however- don't confuse Spacer with SW.
  24. I'll still take this guy over the megablocks we usually have. The art used to be so bad, I have teenage friends who could do better. Not to mention the horrible editing that missed huge coloring mistakes and had speech bubbles pointing to the wrong character. Wow. Bionicle comics have taken a nice step in the right direction.
  25. Titans look rather uninteresting to me. But, since I like 09's storyline, I may wind up picking up one of them if they're cheap. ...so needless to say, I won't be getting any.
