It's great, work was closed, I had no way of getting to university and then I had to dig the step down to the pavment out. Today we still didn't have any trains though buses moved slowly, we might as well put up a sign saying London is Close until further notice - BY ORDER

I'm not to impressed with the fez as it look like a slightly fat cone rather than an actual fez. The boat looks quite good thought. I'm disapointed with the monoplane in the fighter set I think that could be better the side open canopy just don't do it for me. Other than that I like what I'm seeing.

I'm not sure about the huge cargo space on the back of the hot rod, but it might grow on me, if the cargo pod can be removed then that'd be great. I agree the space police don't look that cool at the moment but you nevwer know when we see close up high res photos that might change. Overall I like the new line and the villians look great.

Looking good, as always with your work. I was just wondering if there was any chance of getting a copy Imperial Navy trooper head gear aswell?

Review: 8018 AAT (Armored Assault Tank)
Cardinal Brick replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review. I like the set but it'll a bit to expensive for my money. In the unlikley event that I ever find it on sale I will pick it up though. I like the intergration of the dark blue parts and the swept back look. Personally i don't like the new Yoda, just seems a bit odd to me. -
Excellent work, a great recreation of the original building.

I'm not intrested myself to be honest, though at work we are thinking of getting new radios so maybe I'll suggest the Lego ones. As for core business it did very in the last period we have numbers for so I shouldn't worry about that. -
What makes or breaks a set for you?
Cardinal Brick replied to Derek's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My buying system normal works along the following lines. Design – I’ll normally buy any set that in my opinion is really well designed regardless of theme even if it isn’t one I like that much. Theme – Pretty much anything with the word Castle or Pirate on it will get me to buy it as I like having the complete collection. This applies to sub sections of a theme as well. Piece number and Type – That’s not to important to me if I want to by pieces I head to bricklink not to my local Lego Store. Price – well of course that can break a set, but if its in the theme I want or a design I think’s great I’ll usual pick it up when I have the spare cash. Availibility– isn’t so much of an issue thanks to Bluewater and Lego.com but it does mean I don’t wander past a shop and pick up a battlepack or another small set just because I desire one. -
Thanks for this review of an intresting set, I agree it's good that at last we have something to construct. I like the shrinking scale as it means the crane might be able to move around town without to many problems. It this set will make me part with my cash I don't know yet, I'll see if it growns on me.

I'm not relly into space myself, however I really like the look of this so far. I love the retro-hotrod-spaceship thing they've got going on and I can't wait to see the rest of the time. It may even get me to buy some space stuff.

I got Medieval Market Village 10193 yesterday, bluewater was looking a bit empty though.

Buy 2009 LEGO Pirates from S@H or Toys R Us
Cardinal Brick replied to General Armendariz's topic in LEGO Pirates
UK prices are excellent, though I have to wait till Jan 4th for them to be out in the Lego shops. -
Welcome I hope you enjoy your time here at Eurobricks.

Looks intresting, but on the current musket has a bit of a rim so I think you'll need to alter the design for it to fit.

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Cardinal Brick replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I like the look of the new monster though I'm still not sure about the colour scheme, it would look better in brown. -
The end of Woolies sale starts today, though most of the Lego was gone before the sales started. It seems impulse Lego buying in all but gone from the UK highstreet.

I don't think anyone has done anything, mainly as Will done nothing wrong. Even though he’s accused of ‘glorifying terrorism’ there no way what he does gets anywhere near the actually offence under the Terrorism Act. It’s just a normal moral panic because the Forest of Dean Lapland has been close and they need a new outage for a few days.

Surely it just means you don’t know one section of your customers, I thought that Lego UK was only for distribution of sets in the UK and running the three Lego stores, please correct me if I’m wrong, but it doesn’t surprise me the head office wouldn’t know about BrickArms after all they’re a supplier with a small retail business not the creative side. I’m also proud to say the ‘HMS Daily Mail’ has now steamed into battle with the story CLICK, I’m planning to phone a friend at the BBC and ask if they’re going to run it and add to the national Lego crisis in the UK.

I didn't think of it like that what a great idea!

It’s hardly a shocking or surprising story, it’s just normal UK journalism. You find something that’s been going on for ages but no ones noticed and then blow it out of all propitiation and then phone a few groups and give then hardly any details but get a shocked quote, publish job done.

I've never seen that one before where's it from?

They seems the same to me, while I'd like a return to brown spears I have no problem with swords.
