It looks interesting and I’ll probably pick some of it up, I do agree with the general consensus that an entire layout wouldn’t look great but I can certainly see its uses.

While I'm not normally intrested in anything that isn't from the original films in Star War I have to say I like the Pirate tnk there's something about it that apeals to me. Though it doesn't really look like a normal star wars vehicle to me in a way,

Another great selection of mold, I'm liking the English Horse Artillery Helmet and English Shako also the earlier Grenadier Hat looks good though painting it to look like an original might take a while.

I must say that's amazing, I’m a huge fan of the ride (probably one of the best ever built) and you've captured it so very well. I agree with Raven Brickroft in that it could easily be a movie. Sadly though you've made me feel all nostalgic for a ride which sadly is no longer with us.

I voted for no 2 I hope it will looks like the picture or there will be urban protest True but there's a big M at the station which I asume stands for monorail.

Finally the gathering: Ladybird Pirate Books
Cardinal Brick replied to Norro's topic in LEGO Pirates
I bought them all when they were first out as a child and there were only four then, though I don't know about outside the UK there might be more a bit like Jim Spaceborn -
If the reasoning posted on Brothers Bricks ie that Lego don’t want to distract people from real brick as they’re selling so well is true I have no problem with a delay. It’ a shame but it isn’t the end of the world.

Lego Pharaoh on the Thames
Cardinal Brick replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I saw it floating down the Thames the other day, rather impressive in the brick. I look forward to see it at LegoLand -
Hmm I though power miners were sent to perform scientific investigation over why there were a large number of earthquakes rather than invading, I admit they seem to have ended up a bit like Team America. Returning to space police I think we need to wait and see what happens we may have alien officers in the next wave or something similar or when the back story turns up it may revolve around a human colony which aliens visit rather than an intergalactic police force.

Castle is running out of places to go, true but I think it could really do with a new evil side ally aswell as elves otherwise we'll end up with much smaller evil armies.

Why do you hate Knights Kingdom?
Cardinal Brick replied to Legomyeggo's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't hate it I'm non-plussed by most of it. I must agree with darthperson with regards to Vladek castle it's a great set and in my opinion better than some other evil castle we've had before, I look forward to comparing it to the troll fort later in the year. I also liked the naval unit even though it wasn't the best ship ever I still liked it. As the TheBrickster said there were a number of weaknesses but I think it wasn't the worst theme just a slightly subpar one. -
That was my first thought and while I dom't think we should get to excited yet but I think there's a real posability.
-
Is it just me or are prices a little bit better this year than in previous years? Apart from Star Wars which is always to expensive in the UK everything else seems well priced and quite fair.
-
I've loved the show since the start, though I still can't work out what's going to happen in the end but I hope it live up to the standard of the rest of the series.

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
Cardinal Brick replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I'm amazed that for once something is cheaper in the UK, I hope things stay that way for a while. I agree with Hinckley that one car is a little weak maybe the new colours will be added to factor so we can build and buy far more?- 559 replies

Draw bridge doesn't look bad and the troll fortess is gorwing on me and looks much better than it did before. However the chariot is a total fail to me, I'd rather have a cheaper chariot and use it for army building by 19.99 is far to much I think this is the first set in the castle line that I consider fail it's quite a sad moment
-
The more I see the more I'm sad we won't be seing these in the UK but thus is life. All the aliens look top notch to me and its nice that we get so many new heads in one range. I am a bit confused about the statue that's being towed behind in the galactic enforcer set as isn't he surpose to be chasing the police?
-
I'm not sure I like the 'Agent 2.0' tag why not Agent 1.04 Beta? Apart from that I love what I can see so far and I look forward to getting the sets, though the helicopter looks a bit chunky to me at the moment maybe some more images will improve my opinion.

Do the have to be native? To be allowed to live! Ok that sounds a tad hysterical, I do find the crystal reaper a bit disturbing though when I got it the other day and found the Martian attached to the machinery. I’ll join the consensus that Lego is not doing anything bad with this also it’s the first wave so you never know what’s going to happen.

Friday was the first time I've been able to go to a Lego store in the UK and find more than four of the soldier impulse set on the shelf, so I think it's doing fine. Also the lack of sales in the in store leaflets suggest that overall all the products are doing quite well.
-
Sounds intresting, it does merge together two things I've very geeky about, now for the next step or theme park ride lego sets and my dreams will have come true.
-
Once the sizing issue is resolve I think it'll work very well

That's a great shame, though i doubt there will be a huge number of problems getting them, the ferry companies are going to have to shash prices from the Uk in the summer from what I've heared. Fortunatly for me my PhD supervisor has suggested spending most of the summer in France maybe my college will end up funding my lego buying trip.
