Another good interview, though ImperialShadows how did you survive in the vacuum?
-
An interesting build, and quite amusing as well. Can I ask if you’ve played the game Evil Genius it just remind me a lot of that? On a more minor note it’s a shame the Empire only issues grey toilet paper .

A good review and nicely laid out and presented, as not a big buyer of Lego Star Wars I like to read as many reviews as I can before I commit to buying something from the range. Keep up the good work.

Set Review: 7040 Dwarves' Mine Defender
Cardinal Brick replied to cagri's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A great review of a very good set, I must echo KimT though (I seem to be doing it an awful lot) it would be improved by the addition of one more fig to the set, as it’s the same price band as last years catapult. -
Review: 7092 Skeletons' Prison Carriage
Cardinal Brick replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That’s a nice review, though I do feel the price was a little high but as you said you get so much in it. Last year Argos in the UK reduced it to £7.99, which was a true bargain and sent me all over London looking for a store with more in stock. Again as with all the Lego castle sets I think what makes it work so well is that Lego are now providing a much larger number of minfigs and that’s often what makes a set. -
A nice collection of peasants, but it does seem to me that they are a bit on the clean side, they could do with looking a bit more dirty and oppressed. But then that’s just my personal opinion.

Review: Set 7090, Crossbow Attack
Cardinal Brick replied to Millacol88's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice review . I still thing sets like this are the reason castle has done so well, it allows you to collect a large number of minfig for not very much cash, which I certainly indulged in. My only complaint is that you end up with the evil skeletons out numbered, however heard of the good guys winning with the numbers in their favour. -
Wonderful Terraced town with castle
Cardinal Brick replied to simonwillems's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It’s a wonderful creation and rather picturesque, it reminds me a lot of those towns in Europe built round a castle that still look like something from a story book. It’s well made and I’d like to see more of their work, it’s a shame we can’t invite them over to receive the praise they’re due. While it could equally go it Town & Train, I think it’s quite good in History as well as it provides inspiration for a medieval type of building. -
What did she order and how can I get one is my first question. I suppose when they make up random boxes its possible for that to happen, though I have the feeling either something went wrong or someone was having some fun.

BlacktronII Fleet Attack Docking Truck
Cardinal Brick replied to BerndDasBrot's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Excellent work, it has the true feel of the original but bulked up and possibly on steroids. The cab is very well made and I glad to see you didn’t skim on the control panels. There is one problem though wont the pace police defeat it by placing a roundabout it can’t have a good turning circle can it? -
No Castle Advent set for North America
Cardinal Brick replied to KDog's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That's a real shame about that, though I guess someone on Eurobricks might be willing to buy some for you without the mark up that Bricklink sellers will charge. -
LEGO reveals new line - Power Miners
Cardinal Brick replied to sam89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
While I agree it would be amazing, I can't see TLC going it I'm not sure steampunk is mainstream enough with children to allow it. I'd love to be proved totaly wrong though. -
Despite the lack of quality I might take a look at the thing, my hands shake far to much and even if it breaks I could probably fix it.

Review: 7737 Coast Guard 4WD & Jet Scooter
Cardinal Brick replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Town
Thanls for the review, I was looking at this set last time I went to the Lego store, but in the end decided not to get it. Now you’ve made me really doubt my decision. One question though do you think the jet ski is as good as previous ones? -
Eurobricks Traffic details
Cardinal Brick replied to Lord Of Pies's topic in Forum Information and Help
I find it quite amusing that Eurobricks is most popular with Americans, can this be confirmed? -
Megabloks Pyrates and Pirates of the Caribbean Sets
Cardinal Brick replied to Akkhraziel's topic in LEGO Pirates
I don’t think Pirate Factory is beyond the realms of possibility it the future to be honest. More on topic, Playmobil has produced a lot of quite intresting Pirate sets but apart from having a better range of sloops I think their ‘Naval’ faction has always been a bit week and lacking, though if TLC took some inspirations ie more ships in different sizes I wouldn’t object. -
I’d say they didn’t mention pirates as TLC was the focus on power miners, likewise detail was limited on everything but power miners in the interview.

Review: 852271 Knights Battle Pack
Cardinal Brick replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice review, which reminds me I must order some more of these battle packs at some point. Are you going to also review the skelton battlepack? Also I hope this is a start of a running joke about castle sets being stomped by SW sets -
A nice set review. As for the theme itself, I though it was a very interesting theme. Sadly I don’t think Lego put enough effort into it, I was personally upset not to se a second year even if I didn’t buy any of the sets. It reminds me of the artic theme Playmobil did at one point in the distant past to be honest. I think a number of good artic scenes were missed, when it came out a really wanted to get a ski plane but it never came, I built it myself in the end but I don’t know how Lego missed that one. On a slightly random note I do know that at least one Lego minifig did make it all the way to the real artic with a research team, sadly I don’t have any pictures to offer you.
