Well of course I want them all, but if forced to chose I think I’d rather see elves something new and different. Rather than a revamp, or just more of an already existing theme.

Wasn’t the same debate had when all the new Castle sets came out? I think this is just one of the things that occurs time and time again. I agree with you from what I can see it has all the parts that use to be used for the original line, but I guess some people wont be happy until everything is made using 1 x 1 plates! Though I’m glad the ‘reduced creativity’ debate has yet to march on the pirate form.
-
I don’t know what I’m more happy about, that we get a new pirate line or that the shako is being made again! Finally my troops will be able to have some head gear! Generally I’m fairly happy I assume the sets will be tweaked and improved a bit before relapse but otherwise I look forward to the entire new line, though I suspect it’ll turn up at Bluewater during Christmas whatever the release date.

My first response was YAY, but after a few moments thought it’s more along the lines of ‘Put down your champagne and set away from the party popper! Why well, first the list has the wrong number of Castle set on it and that just seems odd to me, we’ve had a different number confirmed unless they aren’t going to be released wherever this list was made. Also we have according to that list another Y-Wing in Star Wars and I for one don’t buy that. To be honest it seems to good to be true, and I for one will wait and keep the drink on ice and wait for leaked images, then I might start celebrating. Finally I still think we’ve have heard about it long before now if Pirates was coming back.

Congratulation, are we going to see a review of the set when you receive it?

LEGO Collector Premium Edition REVIEW
Cardinal Brick replied to Kernow's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Intresting review I'm tempted, could you tell me what the price ended up being in GBP in the end? -
I’ve also never been asked for proof of purchase, I thought that was only for missing Star Wars figures and special pieces not standard pieces.
-
It’s on sale, I assume that Lego produced to many, nd need to sell through probably before they bring out a new one.

I work for one of the many museums in London, but I’m really a student I’m about to make the transition from MA to PhD.

I also buy both but I more follow the line of metalandi, buy the sets you see and think are great rather than buying just because of which theme it is. Unless you’re trying to buy an entire theme and be a completest then to my mind there doesn’t seem a point in sticking to one theme, buy the sets that inspire you and have the parts you want to use later for other MOC, and also buy the set that make you think OH MY GOD!

I never got this set I spent a long time after one Christmas trying to get and failed miserably, admittedly I was much younger then. It has however remained one of my most sought after items but I’ve still never got around to getting one. The set generally makes me rather nostalgic for a time when the trains were painted in simple liveries like that one! Anyway it seems an excellent set from what I’ve seen and the figure selection is amazing. I hope Lego produce something as good as this when the new trains are released next year.

While I could be wrong, I think the gun is from Lego’s first attempt at licensed sets the 1987 Lego Robocop Line, though from what I’ve heard it was cancelled after Lego viewed the film due to the lack of violence in it. It’s excellent to find such a rare limited edition set, I wonder if there are any more?
-
I’ll join ImperialShadows in putting money on it not happening, I just can’t see Lego seeking a licence at this stage. As for replacing Star War it seems even less likely Lego have the licence through 2011 and I for one expect them to renew it as long as good sale continue especially as we can expect the TV shows in a year or so.

Didn’t realise it was so many! Keep them coming at least till the Beeb picks it up as a weekly strip and it goes or commercial!

Welcome aboard I hope you have a great time here. -
Welcome to Eurobricks, I'm moving back to Wiltshire come October so I surpose I'll be quite near.

Strange worked fine for me in the UK. I’ve not seen that before though I’ve heard of Robot Chicken. For me it was just a well executed skit, I love the pyramid at the end and the pharaohs demise.

It’s Burlington Norther Santa Fe for me, though I’ll confess I don’t own any of them there something more industrial and workman like about it that I can’t resist.

(Heath Ledger) Nurse Joker
Cardinal Brick replied to SirNadroj's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
SirNadroj it’s very well done but yet quite disturbing at the same time, I look forward to seeing more. -
Nice review I agree with Thok it’s quite similar to the more recent crossbow attack, though this one has the added benefit of two shields. This set would I fleet be more useful to army builders than most of the modern castle sets, even though many people don’t like frightknights.

Forbidden City - Brickshelf Find
Cardinal Brick replied to Joey Lock's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Just 979 rooms to go in the Forbidden city! Like badger I also visited Beijing some years ago it brings back some memories On a more serious note it’s an amazing MOC, the level of detail is very impressive. The use of such a large number of small parts makes it look far more realistic, I hope one day the person who built it joins the forums.
