I sort of get your point (being disney a media controlling and mind twisting behemoth) but you have to admit that that dreaded company has made a great job with the "Marvel" franchise, I wont be 100% satisfied either with whatever it may come to be of these new movies but I was already in disagree with most of the EU and PT stuff to the point I had to develop my own stories (after and before the OT), but that doesnt mean I wont be seeing the new movies or play new SW videogames, I recommend saving our judgement until we see the final product, there is no need to be an "extremist" or a "fundamentalist" hard core old school fan, I respect your position but invite you to give an opportunity to these new movies, after all it cant be worst than the PT (and that was 100% Lucas), and if it is, go ahead and restructure the SW universe to your fitting.

Go for it! the old one has no comparison to the newest.

I love this thread!!! there should be a lot more like it, I love to see the evolution of sets through time, would you mind if I include a couple of your pics into the comparison topic?
-
Thanks! that is good news, I hate inter season cliffhangers.
-
Can someone tell me when is the next episode going to air (and/or the next season)?
-
This is so amazing!!! you have surpassed yourself this time, there isn't a single bit I don't like, the shapes flow so elegantly, the detail of the interiors, the "functions", this is absolutely one of the best (or maybe the best) minifig scale spaceship ever.
-
It looks great! the inclusion of the official sets on the custom made landscape makes a great combination, my only suggestion is to reinforce the beachline, those wookies have been sent to the "meat grinder" or are to brave for their own good.

Thanks for the reply, I may be tempted to buy that book with the proto Fett. -

The sets I mentioned are from the clone wars era, but not from the show. Yes, keep the animated series for the last and you may notice how good it was compared to the CGI one, it took three seasons for that one to get interesting while the animated was far cooler in the first 5 min. I got a question too, are the figs included on the lego books made with the chinese plastic (the ones that have no paint on the "head stud" on the torso)? -

ARC-170, AAT (the blue one), vulture droid, V-wing, AT-RT, republic attackship, TX-130, Palpatine's arrest, those are the best I could remember. -
Thanks Gremer, it sounds promising.
-
They look amazing! TLG couldn't have made them better, do you got pics of the interiors?
-
So, what does that book actually contain? something interesting? the evolution of the SW minifig characters over the time? and, are the figs included in these books made with the chinese plastic?
-
It's a great representation, it also provides the perfect means to plan future modifications.

That makes me so sad, at least we should have the chance to see her die this time, but still, is just speculation.
-
It's Bail Organa or Mon Mothma, thats it, or some pretty obscure character from the original trilogy, no need to be looking at Ahsoka anymore, wait, maybe he is Jar Jar Binks! .

There are videos of the new sets at FBTB: http://www.fbtb.net/...ive/#more-32119 It looks like it will be a little tricky to get the figs into the shuttle, and the wings fold one at the time, I have no problem with that.

I respect your opinion but this thing is ages away from the UCS, UCS stands for: ultimate collector series, the cockpit is weird and the fuselage is not sleek enough. I guess there is only room for one <insert that tiresome argument> theme at the time, I cant believe the planets were succeeded by these (microfighters and constraction).
-
Double thanks!!! A small blaster like Han's, it looks weird because the angle and the lighting.
-
This will be like the UCS jedi starfighter, a complete disaster, I am starting to think that lego is really milking the franchise even more than Lucas.
-
Thanks for that, I definitely will stay with my current shuttle MOC.
-
Only one pic of the Tydirium? still this is good news, the vader helmet is too big for my taste and it seems that they are really going to include a blue saber, from all the SW sets that are coming this year I am only interested in one and its the shadow trooper battle pack, on the other hand, the jurassic world sets look quite promising and that creator plane is screaming for a massive MOD (F-22 raptor, yeah!).
-
Thanks, is it saturday yet? I don't know why am I so anxious today, this is worse than christmas eve.
-
So, what time is at NY? and how much should we wait for pics?

I mean this: and this: to replace this: and this: , that way the small panels will not move, can also try another technique for the panels like what I did with my TIE avenger/interceptor: P1150688 by Nom Carver, on Flickr Notice how the grey on the borders of the panel is made with a grey plate between two black plates.
