  1. Nice build. As redtrooper27 said that's a good design for the windshield/mirrors. I also like the way you've built the front fenders.
  2. Curvy goodness! It's a challenging shape to reproduce in Lego, but you've done a really good job.
  3. /Picks up jaw from floor/ Wow! Just wow! Great job.
  4. I like it! I'm currently kit-bashing the 7939 Yellow Cargo Train. I've still got to synch up the some of the colors, rip out the final bits of PF and convert to 9V, redesign the pantographs but I've already added the half brick inset cabin access doors, SNOTTED a design down both sides and cleaned up the roofline. It's amazing what a few hours work will do to the look of a fairly primitive set.
  5. Good looking Dump truck. I really like the SNOT wheel arches and the entire front end.
  6. You make it look effortless and easy, but we know it's not. I really like the white tile piping around the upper floors of the red building. Another classy build Snaillad!
  7. Thanks CopMike for organizing this again. Here's my entry and it's micro-scale for me. I'm not sure they'll get that tree on the roof of their vehicle.
  8. I tried to keep it as in the show with the dumpster, wooden pallets, strange water heater-thing?, lights, and fire escape. There's even less source material for the Funeral home. That's making it challenging - I guess I'll just have to watch even more episodes and be ready with the pause button
  9. I've been following your progress on Flickr. It's good to see it complete and it looks amazing! Chapeau!
  10. Terry Akuna did these graphics. I just simply emailed him the images, he emailed back the proofs, we agreed a price and a few days later they were ready. Thoroughly recommended. It's highly unlikely that I'll ever do instructions, but if you want to build your own just let me know if there are pictures of specific areas that you need for clarification. What I will say is that you'll need 40+ 1x1 headlight bricks in yellow. Thank you so much for the blog post! It's much appreciated. http://www.fox.com/bobs-burgers Thanks for all the comments!
  11. MOC: Bob's Burgers Restaurant I was challenged to build the restaurant from the TV show. It's been an excellent adventure into the deepest parts of teh interweb as I tried to grab as much source material as possible. Some of it was contradictory - indeed I found three different roof lines used in various episodes (I finally settled on the most frequently used one). Credit to Terry Akuna for the awesome graphics http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010629990106&fref=ts I still need to build the interior but I've already started constructing Mort's "It's your funeral" building next door. Comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome! #Beefsquatch
  12. Great looking facade and a very effective window technique.
  13. Unbelievably good! Thanks for sharing it with us.
  14. It looks really good! And it works. I like it a lot.
  15. Great looking effect on that facade!
  16. ^^Yep. If your friend is so inclined and has time then there are whole threads dedicated to PAB-Cup packing strategies. These'll let you want to maximise the booty as there's a massive difference in piece count between randomly throwing the pieces into the Cup and building/packing.
  17. Here's an old link to the contents of their PAB wall http://www.brickbuildr.com/index.php/view-store/?store=112 and a more recent one http://www.wallofbricks.com/pab-display.php?country=UK&pab_store_id=112 And get your friend to ask if there are any damaged sets around the back - they get sold sometimes at a discount or extra points. And don't forget to get your friend to use your Lego ID for points. If they're up for it then a Skype walk through sounds like a great idea.
  18. Pfft! But thanks anyway... Yes, that's what I was aiming for! I originally had a washing machine on the lower balcony, but I couldn't get a decent image of it so I removed it at the last minute. Thanks for the comments.
  19. Super looking train. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  20. MOC: Chinatown Residential Buildings As soon as I saw the Sand Green Elves Fences I knew I had to use them in a building for Chinatown. I wanted some place that looked ram-shackled and lived in, but that also had a sense that Hipsters had started to infiltrate and renovate the area. So I ended up with one side of the building looking a bit seedy and rundown with washing hanging from one of the balcony's. And the other side with the original ground floor (complete with window AC) and a hipster-gentrified upper floor. The rear of the building is somewhat plain and unassuming. Hope you like it. As usual comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome.
  21. I prefer the size and challenges that building in 7-wide brings. At that scale the locos and the carriages look substantial enough and fit in with my other Lego MOCs.
  22. Super job! I'm liking this a lot.
  23. I had the same concerns, but as I built it I realized something new to me - it feels fantastic! It's got a tactile thing going on that you don't normally get from typical Lego roofs. And because I got 30 of these Orange wedges for free I knew I was going to use them. I know it's divisive, but it's definitely growing on me. Thanks for the comments!
  24. MOC: 24-Carat Urban Vertical Farm I managed to snag a bunch of freebie 2x2 Gold round tiles, a bunch of orange windscreens and orange 4x4 wedges. So it was obvious (to me, at least) what I was going to build - an upscale Urban Vertical Farm for my Chinatown 2035 series of Modulars. So here it is. Here's a view from the rear The roof detail. I imagined that the owners had access to a 3-d Printer and just produced a huge amount of these awesome shapes. And finally because it was set in the near future I had to include the owner watering the plants with Brawndo - it's got electrolytes. It's what plants crave. Hope you like it. As usual comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome!
  25. Torsos? It's laundry day and they're taking advantage of the breeze..... Thanks for all the comments.
