  1. Wow! It looks really good and the blue is a nice touch!
  2. Thank goodness I don't care for these with the prices they fetch!
  3. That thing is so awesome I don't even mind seeing it posted four times!
  4. The Bulldozer was two years behind the Crane so I expect it in the summer of 2015.
  5. That looks really good and I like orange anyways so I might have to build a variant at some point. The cab is exceptional - Lego designer quality which is the highest mark IMO. Great job!
  6. Excellent! That leaves mores sets available for those who can appreciate them.
  7. Nicely done Dokludi! It looks like it belongs on the shelf next to the 8109 and 9396 with that color scheme!
  8. Thanks. I'm very respectful of the designs from LEGO and hesitant to change much unless there is a good enough reason and I have a solution I like more. I just figure most of that sort of stuff is cost related anyways, which is something we can all appreciate. The good news is we have plenty of parts to choose from to make tweaks and that is where a lot of the fun is for me.
  9. That looks like a useful piece especially in that situation. Maybe they will make one soon since they did that also on the 9397. I didn't really like that detail so I designed my way around it with some different pieces on both sets. If you look closely you can see what I did there on mine.
  10. The crane is going to be a beast! I can't wait to dangle the Service Truck from it.
  11. My guess is that it is since they went to the trouble of making decals for the rear panel. Also if you study the two versions you can kind of see the one with the exposed L motor being a less developed version of the other one. They made the decision to put the rear side 1x5x11 panel on to cover the motor and then changed the size of the gearshift area on the other side to match the same dimensions.
  12. There's the 8264 Hauler wheels on that real one. Mine will end up having a little more yellow than the final version likely, and more LBG and DBG in place of most of the black on the chassis. I like it as is for the most part though.
  13. I have noticed two variations of the way the yellow panels are attached to the side of the battery box, the above image being the cleaner and preferred design. It will be interesting to see if the area circled will get any additional tweaking as it looks a bit unresolved. It seems like a dream to see another future Technic icon in the making!
  14. She's rounding into fine form! I like the additional LBG 1x5x11 panel on the top of the chassis instead of a bunch of stacked liftarms (4 before I think). I don't much care for the stacked liftarm aesthetic except in unavoidable moderation like the side of the 42008. These aren't system bricks!
  15. Love the GT3 - the best car Porsche makes IMO! No turbos to get in the way of anything.
  16. Incredible job! Thanks for the early look once again. I love it! If he doesn't have the 8421 handy he can surely whip one up from that one image!
  17. Lego is still worth every penny to me for the enjoyment it brings - it's hard to put a price on that!
  18. Nice collection and setting, David83! Is that a white/black 9392 I see? Nice space and collection.
  19. Ok, so 8421 which a lot of people 'missed out on' and 8053 which isn't even a flagship, over an eight year period.
  20. I would look at the trend for flagship B models over the last couple of years before getting too excited. That said, I'm too impressed with the Crane to care at this point. Some of you are really hard to please!
  21. Will they change the color of the white 16L axles for the stabilizers on the production version? Good eye! I liked them better DBG for the contrast. Mine will probably be rolling on yellow 8264 wheels anyways like my 8421.
  22. I was afraid the crane would be $249 when i saw the piece count. I think it's a bargain at $219.
