  1. "Oh, I see, my mistake, eheh..." "I have no questions. The mission is simple enough; I have recently delivered a painting... erm, device, much in the same manner."
  2. "Erm.., I do not know what you are speaking about... but I will be sure to do so." Hybros touched his hat at Ellaria briefly, then turned to their employer. It seemed that their employer wasn't who she claimed to be. "Dr. Gioconda, how nice to see you again, eheh. It has been quite a while. I do hope you have forgiven me for taking you hostage all those years ago, hehehe."
  3. OOC: Thanks for having me Kintobor! Stats look right; just so you know the Sword of Ancestral Hatred's upgrades scale with Hybros' level; so for every three kills made with it, it gains one WP. Right now I believe it is at 0/3 kills. Hybros wrapped his crimson cloak around himself tightly; the colder weather was falling in Eubric now, it seemed. He noted De'kra, who he had not seen in a very long time. "I suppose we will find out soon enough, eheh. How are you De'kra? It has been a while."
  4. And you still beat Chicago. Thanks for that. I'm a Packers fan, but it doesn't look like we're going anywhere this year. If we can't beat Atlanta this Sunday, we're done for. So... go 49ers?
  5. No. I think this came up during the Rogue nerf discussion; the Fields are fine the way they are, because they were never intended for gold farming in the first place.
  6. "Well, well. Looks like we get to quest together again after all." Hybros said to Boomingham with a grin. And there was Ellaria, was it... that human with the disgusting offspring? And De'kra, the little one who people often mistook as himself. He had not seen the echo in a long time, and looked around the Hall for him.
  7. "Strivvi? No, never heard of it. Do tell." Hybros said as he also signed up for Quest #91.
  8. "Hm, who? I do not believe I have met this Barty person... do not tell me that you need a caretaker, Lawrence? Heheheheh...." Hybros tugged at his kerchief, then continued. "I do hope that we can quest together again, it has been since our very first days in Heroica that we have done so. And," he leaned in closer to the Paladin. "I must get out of here. It is no use standing around the Hall when there is a world to see, hehe. I wish I could have seen Baltorak again, but it seems there were those better suited to the job..." He looked to the questboard. There was a single quest still posted. "What about this one? I have dealt with these Tritech people before. They are not the most friendly, but they get the job done, eheh. And where there is Tritech, there is Ji Pei... hmm..."
  9. "The Wolfgang, heh, they are just the same as any other. No need to worry about them. I do not know about rich and powerful, heheh, but with gray hair and... wise." Hybros looked as the last of the Baltorak quest-goers were called out, his name absent from the list of names called. "Well, it looks like our meeting is not cut short this time, hehe."
  10. "Blade, more than ever, hehehe." Hybros drew the Sword of Ancestral Hatred a little, letting the dark, crimson-tinted metal reflect the light of the torches lining the walls of the saloon before sliding it back into its sheath. "I am not sure, things pass by so quickly these days, eheh. But since then I believe I have visited the manor of a great and powerful man in this city, and an old... friend," He said with a toothy smile. "He reminds me of you a little, hehe... And I have uncovered and smothered another plot to take over Eubric. There never seems to be any... shortage of those, does there? Ehehm, and I returned from a farmer's fields, not too long ago. And much has been accomplished since then, hehe..." He shifted his eyes. "And where has the world taken you since we last met?"
  11. Hybros stands, arms crossed against a wall in the Saloon. It had been a while since he had seen many of the faces now lit by the fire's light in Heroica Hall. It was almost too bad that most of them would be gone within a few days, off on quests yet again. He spied Boomingham's jolly, bearded face at the bar. "Lawrence, it has been quite a while, eheheh. How have you been?"
  12. Also remember that the Kingdom of Moone was there before it was sunk and the city sprouted from there.
    1. Kintobor

      Kintobor

Oddly, I remember following this intensely back when I lurked the forum. I tried referencing it back in Quest 70, and no one got it.

  13. Right! And let it be known that spell-check considers "thingamajig" a word, but not "teleport". I guess if spell-check can throw out all sense of logic, we can too.
  14. "Giant lizard? Eheh, I must have been sleeping. I have seen plenty of them in my time here with Heroica to know how to deal with one, though. Ehem... er, are you signing up for these quests for Baltorak?" Hybros looks a little at the gnome, who didn't seem to hear him. He shrugged; maybe he would see him around Zylstra.
  15. See Quest 50. We had a teleport thingamajig.
  16. Hybros purchases a Ruby, an Opal, and a Sapphire from Elphaba and has Anwyl imbue them into his Sword of Ancestral Hatred for a total of 450 gold.
  17. It's near the equator, about the equivalent latitude as Florida. And again, it's an island so it's unlikely to snow there, but again, if writing the story and making geographical sense are two different things, then I guess it doesn't really matter.
  18. Well that's another argument entirely. I guess you could justify anything in this game because it is "fantasy" and we can do whatever we want.
  19. By the way, what does the Mutated effect do?
  20. I'd say no, because it's pretty tropical, and an island. Geographically it wouldn't make sense to snow, just like it's pretty much impossible to snow in Hawaii or rare in even, say, southern Japan.
  21. "I, erm, have lived there before. Before I came to Eubric, for a little while. There is risk, and a lot of crowds you do not wish to get involved with, but that is the same as anywhere, especially Eubric, hehehe... It is strange how accepting those that have not been treated so, are. Then again, we should be well-prepared to deal with anything, as usual, heh." Hybros suddenly noticed a little gnome behind Guts' muscular form. "Hey, you... you are another of the short people I have seen... do you live in... ehem." He brought his voice down to a whisper. "Do you live in Zylstra?" Hybros sees Nur, the funny old man from his quick trip to the Fields of Glory, and waved him over. He wondered if he would be going to Baltorak with the rest of the heroes signed up.
  22. Hybros snoozed in the corner, and grunted awake at the comotion in the Hall. He looked around, nodded in something similar to approval at Guts' blood-red coat, and stretched out in his chair. He got up and sat next to the Raider. "...ehehm, so these quests to Baltorak are leaving soon... let me tell you the place is not as bad as it sounds."
  23. Exactly. Just roll with it! On another note, I love Heckz. A sarcastic, conceited pretty boy - it's a simple character, but sometimes you don't need a convoluted backstory to be awesome.
