  1. I wouldn't have asked if I thought I knew the answer.
  2. So if a hero were Hastened and Slowed at the same time, they would get two turns every other round, or one turn every single round?
  3. Yeah no problem, just wanted to make sure you were still around.
  4. Hybros attacks the Red Menace and the Changeling from the front row. "Well done Ellaria, perfect timing... heh."
  5. Any chance of an update soon, Kinto? It's been over two days.
  6. Or just have different Witch's Talismans with varying rarity and power. The regular Witch class deals Poisoned:1 hits, and with the original Talisman equipped they deal Poisoned:10 hits. A boss could drop an Expert Witch's Talisman, that deals Poisoned:20. Again, having this Poisoned:X system would bridge the gap between effects that don't translate well between heroes and enemies, as well as prevent them from becoming obsolete. Nowadays, the basic Poisoned (Poisoned:1) effect is not going to do much for any enemy other than ones in the easiest areas of the Fields or on very low-level quests. Rather than create a myriad of new poisoned-effects (Badly, Extremely, etc. etc.), just modify the existing one to be able to include any amount of damage.
  7. QM Note: Again, Skeleton Decoys are not able to be equipped or are artifacts - they are consumable items. Avalanche can use one this round, and it will absorb up to 20 points of damage from free hits for the entire party. After that, Free Hit damage resumes according to the battle order. Any remaining Free Hit damage is given to the hero first in the battle order. (e.g. 21 damage to the Skeleton: 20 to the Skeleton and 1 damage to the first hero in the battle order).
  8. Boomingham attacks Pinkanema from the front row. Ellaria attacks Lupine from the back row with Ignis Fatuus. Battle Order: Hybros Boomingham Hybros Ellaria De'kra

  10. OOC: I think you've got some things mixed up, Kintobor. First, you forgot to account for permanent positive effects for the Changeling, thus he should've been Hastened Round 1 and Slowed this round (due to Golden Armor and the Vibrataphone). Also, none of us noticed this before, but De'kra should not have had a turn last round because he is slowed. Finally, the defense of the Changeling should be 4 for this round. "De'kra, seal that Changeling now! Hopefully he will not be able to change forms again like that." Hybros revives Ellaria with a Phoenix Essence and attacks the Red Menace from the back row with his Sword.
  11. On what Chromeknight mentioned earlier about the Poisoned-effects: I fully agree about just doing "Deals Poison:10," or "Poison:100" rather than Poisoned and Badly Poisoned and whatever other continuous HP-eating effects we invent as heroes grow stronger. It will simplify things a lot, and we can just have "Immune to Poison" cover all of those. And yes Bleeding would be different since it can be healed by Remedy or returning to full health, but the same concept would still apply for "Bleeding: 10," etc.
  12. Kintobor: So as not to clutter the Quest with OOC, I made a mistake about the SOAH's WP, after that last kill in your quest, it should actually be WP:42 because Hybros did gain 2/3 from the final battle in the Fields (see here). Sorry about that!
  13. OOC: Noooice. Thanks Kinto! Also please note that the SOAH gains 1/3 WP. Hybros jabbed the hilt of the Sword of Ancestral Hatred into the human's ribcage, felling him instantly. He looked to the werewolf. "I told you so, hehehe." He quickly changed his second target to the Red Menace. "What would a Blue Assassin do?" He replied with a wink. "Ehehm, we do not have the time right now, I mean. You should stand back and start creating spells, for full effect from back there. You are a Sorcerer, yes?"

  15. OOC: Miss should be Aim, and did you roll for assassinations? Remember I have a 1/3 chance of assassinating where applicable. Hybros frowned at Boomingham's persistence, but knew he was right. He continued the fight by throwing his Clock Cog at the Changeling, and swinging his Sword at Daniel again from the back row.
  16. Indeed. Love the Changeling; not only does it offer a place for some roleplaying, it also turns our (PCs) ridiculous power against us. It's also good that it changes between rounds, so as not to make things too difficult or uninteresting.
  17. Hybros eyes De'kra's Cloak of the Blue Assassin. "Where did you get that...?" He asked, puzzled. But before he had time to inquire further, he turned to see a mirror image of himself, standing menacingly with scythe in hand. "Is that... me?" He grimaced. He didn't look at his own reflection very often. It was startling see the pale crimson eyes that matched the cloak, filled with determination to kill. Unnerved, Hybros reached for his Zoot's Reaper, but stopped midway. He remembered imbuing all nine gems into his hastening armor; it was likely the copy had the same ability. Instead he drew his Banana Bladerang, and whipped it at the Changeling from the back row, hoping for the best. "Now do not hit me on accident!" He yelled to the party. "Heheh..." Breaking his gaze from his copy, Hybros nodded to Boomingham. "Of course," he said with a grin. He drew his Sword of Ancestral Hatred and swung it at the human named Daniel from the back row.
  18. Hybros still gripped his sword tightly. "This device you speak of... whether we have it or not, you had better get out of the way..."
  19. "Oof!" Hybros gasped as the burly werewolf kicked him. He slowly got up, but left the dirt on his cloak. Looking to Boomingham for a bit of tact, he replied to the crew of rough-looking street dwellings, trying to sounds as intimidating as he could. "Yes, I a Red Assassin I am, heheh... surely you have heard of our skills? I would suggest you move aside and let us on our way before I fell you in one swift strike, hehehehe...."
  20. Hybros tries to sneak underneath the cart to get through.
  21. "Ellaria, as the healer, you should take the device. And I vote for Lawrence to take the spot of Party Leader - I trust he is well-experienced...."
  22. Snow all around... And the playoff picture is a mess. Packers cling on with a win over Atlanta, Eagles over Lions, and Baltimore looks for a playoff spot by beating the Vikings. San Francisco beats Seattle to steal away a clinched home field advantage... And then Carolina takes on New Orleans. Interesting stuff...!
  23. I still don't know what the Hilariously Drunk and Lucky effect does...
  24. OOC: Zepher did say he'd be busy until Sunday... Hybros stood silently, tapping the tip of Zoot's Reaper on the ground. It was all sounding too familiar... "I suppose someone will have to carry the device, yes? Heheh..." He looked at Ellaria.
  25. And also, nice roleplaying in the final bit of Marketplace Mystery. Pretzel didn't even acknowledge the orc veteran. Subtle, but a very nice touch. The curator probably knows about as little as Hybros does about imps, the world's still a possibility. Sorry you didn't like it though, I was hoping to take advantage of the opportunity of a PC ineteraction to reveal more about imps, since little has been revealed even two and a half years into the game.
