  1. Hybros tips his hat to their employer, and turns to his allies. Ellaria, Docken, it is good to see you both. And you must be Thormanil." Hybros touched his hat again, towards the half-giant. "I am Hybros." Ooc: everything looks good. Thanks for having me Flipz!
  2. Hybros buys 4 bottles of mead for 60 gold.
  3. Seeing that he was selected for a quest, Hybros excused himself from his table and headed downstairs. Two heroes he did know, and one he didn't. He thought about the upcoming journey and headed to the Marketplace.
  4. Hybros shrugged. "I just do what I think is best. There are consequences to everything. We must choose to face them. I leave my choices in the hands of no one except my own."
  5. "I see..." Hybros scratched his head. He wasn't sure if he understood all of the different philiosophies that were apparently prominent in the Hall currently. "I do not think the gift of immortality is one to be trifled with - though I have sustained many injuries in battle, it is nothing some healing could fix. Perhaps death comes easier to some than others. I do not know of this spell that you speak of. As for power, well, I believe it is up to each individual to do their part. The weak will fall if the strong do not prevail. That is the way of the world. Can you not think of a time when you, with your strength, have served a greater purpose? I can, eheh..."
  6. I'm on the fence about getting this game (I don't have a Wii U so I'd have to buy one, along with controllers...). But it looks to be pretty good, especially with the promise of DLC characters and stages. My only misgiving is that Lucas and Wolf aren't in the game to begin with. As a Lucas/Wolf/Link main in Brawl... I don't even see why they weren't included, when Dr. Mario (a clone) is brought back instead. Ice Climbers, too... hopefully they'll be added. As much as I hated them in Brawl, I feel like you can't really have Smash Bros. without them anymore. Including Mewtwo is also a surprising move to me. I definitely preferred him over Lucario, but hopefully they make him less slidey/floaty in this game than he was in Melee. And I'm kind of doubtful that Ridley will actually be playable, but I guess anything is possible if they brought back Mewtwo and added characters like Shulk, Megaman and Pac-Man.
  7. Hybros slid over the gold and shield. The latter was too clunky for him anyway, even he did rely on such tools in battle. He took the dagger in his hand, flipped it once to admire its light weight and swiftness, and put it away. "So tell me, Arthur, you seem to be unloading a lot of gear in the Hall lately. I have not quested with you before, but are your heroing days already over?"
  8. "100 and the shield," Hybros barters.
  9. "Good choice, eheh..." Hybros nodded to the newcomer elf. "200 gold would be my highest offer."
  10. I think you forgot Guts for 118.
  11. Seeing how no one seemed to notice the imp, Hybros shrugged and returned to the bar for another cup of tea.
  12. So far, everything in Quest 111 has been fitting in exactly with what we imagined for Dastan. The architecture, the people, the beliefs and attitudes, even the minifigure appearances, have all been lining up with what we established in the Dastan trilogy and beyond. And not only are you following along with those things, Khorne, but also enriching Dastan with your own ideas. I know people like to save their comments for after the quest, but I wanted to offer my compliments now because I'm really enjoying following this quest. Well done.
  13. Hybros also noticed that Arthur had nonchalantly sat back down at his and Guts' table. "Hello again, Arthur." He took note of the items Arthur had laid out on the table, and watched the exchange with what appeared to be a Moon Elf. "Are you thinking of opening your own stall at the market? Eheh... well as long as you are selling items, would you be willing to part with that Hollow Dagger?"
  14. Could you possibly be confused with Robina Hooter and her band of merry women?
  15. Hybros grinned back. "I know you are up to the task, Guts. You are a strong warrior who fights first and asks questions later...." Hybros taps his fingers on the table. "I, too, have changed my fitting style. I have learned much from the Ji Pei. To fight with my inner strength and spirit rather than with my scythe and sword... It is... Different than before, my new powers do not simply allow me to kill with one swift strike, but they do empower me with the will to fight. To think about my actions... I feel they will prove useful on my next quest."
  16. "I believe they were sent there by people of this realm, long ago... They are now residents of the realm of Zoot, so if where you you are from is who you are, then... Yes I suppose they are demons now... And their appearance is a little different than my own, at least from what I had seen down below." On his second remark, Hybros looks up to meet Guts' eye. "I thank you for that. I will know who to call on when the time comes." He gazed a little longer, and then leaned back, a little more relaxed. He tried to meet Eric's eye, who had come back to the Hall and took a seat at the bar, and waved him over. He turned his attention back to Guts. "So, this business with the Guild of Invision... what do you think? You have the most experience with the house, enough to train with them, I see. Your leadership could be useful for that quest, if you were chosen."
  17. One other thing that I'm still confused about 107 is how we weren't able to just go back down there. Why was there an urgency to carry just one or two books? Isn't there a whole treasure trove of knowledge down there than Daneeka and others could just visit whenever they wanted to? Because there is still that hole in the ground under Zylstra... Or were we transported there by the witch and whatever other force, and now the tunnel that was dug just leads to a wall?
  18. "That is where I found them, but they exist somewhere else. Underground there was a door that lead to... Another realm. You remember when we went below this city to the Temple of Zoot, yes? It was much like that. I imagine my people are in the same place that Namyrra and William did when they were eaten by Mephisto. I do not think getting my people back is as simple as defeating an archdemon, though..."
  19. ... Maybe just post an action before the battle is over?
  20. "That my people are out there, and that I have the power to save them." He replied simply, still staring at the table.
  21. "Hm, I see you have missed me, heheheh!" Hybros' sarcasm was partially hidden by the bandages wrapped around his face. They may have also hidden his expression as he became more serious. "Much has happened. I am... still pondering it all. I have returned from two quests below the surface, where I have found many answers, and many more questions with them. About myself, about the world... I have made and lost some allies..." He thought about the Crimson Crown, the Moon Elves, Wally, the Baron, Posco, Daneeka, Heweryt and his cohorts, Nyx, Ellaria, Skrall, even Monk Pretzel... "But still I am left with the same purpose as before," he concluded simply. He looked down at the table. "It is strange, how much can happen and still how little things change."
  22. Chi Monk job trait, basically the same thing as Spellcasting for Mages.
  23. Here's another shot:
  24. Hybros took the scroll in his hands, trying to read the incantations written on it. "Ehem, yes, perhaps I could make use of this... but how does it--" Arthur was gone. Perhaps Daneeka would have some clue on how to read and use the scroll. Hybros looked around. He was alone again. He looked around the Hall, and spotted Guts leaning back in a chair. Leaving his empty cup at the bar the imp went to greet his old acquaintance. "Hello Guts, it has been some time, eheh... how have you fared?"
  25. You might be waiting a looooong time then. Probably better to go along for the ride until one of those pops up, but that's just me. Also, cool post in the Training Room, MDM. It was a nice bit of roleplaying for Hoke, a character who doesn't usually become so pronounced in that way (at least from what I've seen). I wonder about being able to switch from Dragoon like that though - I know it's been discussed and there's no rule against it, but it seems to kind of defeat the purpose of having the leveling-up rule for Dragoons in the first place.
