  1. I've just used the CAT to refer to Hybros' entrance into Heroica. Other than that, in-character, I used other quests and occurrences as reference points ("after Dastan", "before Xu", etc.). And in my mind, they happen in the past as real time: e.g. Quest #114 happened in September 2014, so in-game it was four months ago. So if Hybros saw someone from that quest in the Hall, they would be referring to it as having happened four months ago rather than a few weeks ago when it ended.
  2. Welcome to the game, bioniclefanatic. I saw that you fixed your character's stats to only have one shuriken, so I think everything checks out. Of course, you'll need a picture before you can go on a quest. Zepher, really nice work on Boomingham's wiki page so far. PC pages can be really handy for keeping track of people's stories. Boomers is one that I tend to read and follow more closely, yet there were already a few surprises for me on the wiki. Such as, the fact that his son was named Bartholomew. At first I thought of some relation to our resident tank-among-tanks, but then I remember his angel. Cool connection there. ...And now I've been inspired to update Hybros' page. At any rate, it will be good to read back to the old quests. It definitely is a trip to see how different things were back then.
  3. After seeing the Black Knight recover, Hybros revises his strategy. "Thormanil, the Berserker if you will, eheh. Docken, a quick defeat of the Alchemist would be good, and further submission of the Black Knight after."
  4. OOC: I'm not quite sure why the Berserker would be focused on Hybros; it never had the chance to attack. And I hate to say it, but the Black Knight was immune to darkness. Can we just say that Thormanil used a different weapon? "We must leave the leader for now while he is stunned. Docken will be able to take the hit once it is in fighting condition. Docken, take Alchemist B now, it is very weak. I will make quick work of the final Alchemist, heheh. Ellaria, Thormanil, perhaps you two can dispose of the Berserker before we have to deal with the defenses of the Lieutenant." Hybros attacks Alchemist C from the front row with darkness. If it is defeated, he will direct other attacks to the Berserker.
  5. "Well done, keep it up!" Hybros yelled over to his allies. He continued to attack Alchemist B from the front row with darkness.
  6. RE: quests 118 and 120: I don't think that's how the stunned-effect works, unless of course in mistaken. The enemies are asleep to begin with, so rolling Damage or Special Damage will result in no action. Removal of stun requires taking an action. My thoughts are that the stun is removed from the action prior to the enemy being woken up (I.e. being hit by an attack).
  7. "Hm, perhaps you would be better suited to another enemy, Ellaria, at least while we are all healthy, heheh... Thormanil can take the Black Knight." Hybros wails on Alchemist A again, and if he is defeated, directs the same attack to Alchemist B.
  8. Do want one of those shields
  9. OOC: Why are some of the enemies encouraged? And the Alchemists A and B (but not C I guess) are in the back row; does this halve their level or is that already taken into account? When the counters are destroyed, does the Bleeding-effect also affect the hero who destroyed it (i.e. what constitutes "near"). Will the Bleeding effect wake up enemies? Also, Hybros should have 2 Meads and 1 Mulled Wine. "Hm." The battle looked tough, but luckily Hybros had some tricks up his sleeve. He tossed a Pumpkin Bomb into the enemies' midst, then attacked Alchemist A from the front row with darkness. "Let us leave the leader and the other Skirmisher for now; their defensive tactics will result in the same as last time. The Berserker poses little threat now, as well. Docken, Ellaria, the Black Knight is heavily armored, but looks like he would fall to poison and blindness like his Skirmisher friends, eheh... Thormanil, together we can defeat the Alchemists one at a time while the others sleep."
  10. OOC: I, too, will be busy over these next two days due to Christmas, but I'll probably be able to swing in if there's an update. Flipz, I forgot to mention that I won a Grand Potion, Health Core and Fenghaung Essence from the Decamon Tournament; if you could update Hybros' stats that'd be great. "Ehem... if either of you big guys have no use for an extra shield, I would gladly take one of them off of your hands, hehe." Hybros downs a Mead, a Mulled Wine, and a Grand Tonic, and follows Ellaria to chase down the golem squad leader.
  11. He's not the toughest enemy Heroica has ever faced. Skrall could easily one-shot him, because he's still Encouraged and Lucky. The Genie is an Ethereal 6 = Fenghaung Essence.
  12. Hybros heals himself from the back row when below 31 health, otherwise attacks from the front row with darkness.
  13. "Excellent work, Ellaria. Let us finish the last one quickly." Hybros attacks Junior Skirmisher Golem B from the front row with darkness, twice.
  14. "Heheheh..." Hybros continues to face off against Skirmisher B.
  15. OOC: If it helps move things along at all, Ellaria should repeat with the same Battle Order.
  16. Hybros rubbed his temple as the Skirmishers assumed a defensive stance. They looked as though they wouldn't be moving for some time. He sighed. "At times like these I wish I had kept up with my studies with the blade... I could have killed these golems no matter how strong their defenses..." "Thank you for the potion, Docken, eheh... perhaps it would be a good time to retrieve that horseshoe of yours. For now, poison may be the best way to take these creatures down." He nodded to Ellaria. Hybros then took a step back to heal himself, and as long as he was above 32 health (44 if the weapon would be retrieved) he would repeat his attack from the front row.
  17. OOC: Of course. For some reason I thought whoever was fighting the guards before us lowered their levels. Hybros turns back to Skirmisher A and repeats his attack from last round. "I could... use some healing, eheh..."
  18. OOC: I should've received 32 damage, not 44, and my strike from the counter should restore some health to me thanks to the Metal Claw. "We will not be able to stop the leader now. I say we focus on finishing this battle quickly so that we can chase after him. Ellaria, perhaps you could poison him further before he gets away..." Hybros attacks Junior Skirmisher A with darkness from the front row.
  19. Docken steps in front of Hybros to block the incoming attacks, and he responds by popping back out from behind the Warden's shield to strike back."Good teamwork, eheh..." Hybros tries to muster up his strength to hit Golem Skirmisher A again from the front row with darkness (twice).
  20. Hybros turns his cards in for a Grand Potion, a Health Core and a Fenghaung Essence. "It is not bad for 75 gold... at least I was able to keep my Genie." He pockets the items as his existence in the tournament hall begins to fade.
  21. Hybros gasps for breath as the giantess nearly crushes him. "Ah!... eheh... yes, it was good match. Enjoy those cards. I will see to these prizes that they have..." He tipped his hat and departed, taking note that his old friend Eric lost as well. He nodded to the Raider. He was sure they would meet again soon.
  22. A proposition for the next Decamon Tournament/future games: The person who is determined (by coin flip) to go first is put at a severe disadvantage, especially when they're opponent's hand/deck is unknown. Going first A) allows the opponent to scope your cards better and faster and B) you have to take the highest chance by going first three times instead of two. Responding with a card always offers more strategy while placing a card first is pretty much sheer luck or you betting that the opponent doesn't have a certain card. Maybe someone better with numbers than I could work out the exact odds, but going first puts you at around 2/5 chance to win if your opponent has a decently varied deck. My suggestion would be to decide by coin flip who goes first like it already is, but then let that person go last for the final turns. Like this: Turn 1: Player A goes first 2: B 3: A 4: B 5: B It would at least eliminate the first problem with the turn order because regardless of who goes first, by Round 4 both players have a good idea of what else might be in the opponent's hand (maybe) and the unfairness started in Round 1 would be balanced out. Thoughts?
  23. "Well that is hardly fair..." Hybros handed over his Cave Troll (Rock 6) in surrender and played his Storm Elemental (electric 8) last.
  24. Hybros nodded to Ellaria for her help. "We do not have long before the others wake up... let us make this count!" He turned his attention to Golem Skirmisher A and attacked him from the front row with darkness.
  25. Hybros attacks Junior Skirmisher Golem B from the front row with darkness. If he is already defeated, the attack(s) will be directed to Junior Skirmisher Golem A. "Ellaria, perhaps you should go last in order in case any of us are injured." OOC: I think you subtracted one too many ether from Hybros - he only attacked once.
