I think you might've misunderstood. The potential max HP should be restored, but the current HP would stay the same. There should be no permanent effect from being Cursed after it is cured. And I might be wrong about this, but I think Cursed was changed so that it only subtracts current health (-10% of max health), and doesn't actually reduce max health anymore. At least, that's how the wording has changed in the rules.

OOC: I think the full potential health should be restored with the cursed effect gone. Hybros attacks Demon Ray C from the front row with Justice twice. He uses potions on the hero(es) with the lowest health. He looks to the skies where Torc and Hoke work as a team. "Impressive, eheh." "Guts, care to throw one of those Mystic Bombs?" Battle Order: Erik Guts Dyric Em Thalion Mizuki Hoke Torc Hybros Hybros

Hybros recovers from his stun and uses a Remedy on Guts. He then attacks the Craven Murder from the back row and uses a potion on Mizuki. "Erik, take Wight A." Battle Order: Hybros Hybros Guts Erik Dyric Mizuki Hoke Thalion Em Torc

"Heh, you are welcome." "Hm. That bow seems to be effective enough." Hybros watched the young assassin fling arrows left and right. Impressive. Hybros remembered his time in the trade, however, and he recalled having many kills to his name. He grinned to himself.

I disagree. I think there are a lot of fantasy aspects like "painting machines" and airships, but they're just that: fantasy. Guns just don't seem to fit in to this game and I would definitely prefer if we didn't have them. I agree with the sentiment that you should bend your quest around the canon, not the other way around.

OOC: I should have a 2x multiplier for a light elemental attack. Hybros grimaces, and revives Guts with a Phoenix Essence. He then attacks Wight A from the back row, twice, then uses a potion on Em. "I thought you said to stay away from the green stuff, heh." He grinned as he helped Guts up. Battle Order: Hoke Erik Dyric Hybros Hybros Guts Em Thalion Mizuki Torc

Hybros swaps his Alchemist's Cheatsheet for the Kjor Tongue and uses a Remedy on Em. Then he attacks Wight B from the back row again, and uses a potion on the hero with the lowest health. Battle Order: Hoke Dyric Guts Guts Erik Hybros Mizuki Thalion Em Hybros

"Heheh, you are telling me... by the way, Dyric, that Bladerang has some... useful properties. Give it a try."

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
JimBee replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
I agree with pretty much everything Zepher has said. I don't agree that Chrysopoeia needs to be changed. If anything, change the discount trait. As has been said before, Guts is a terrible example to judge a class off of. Hybros is also powerful, and I can't say I wouldn't use the same strategy to farm gold, but I haven't gotten the chance to play as the class yet. I'm not using the buff strategy either (partially because I want to roll more 4s rather than 1s), and I don't have a WP:64 weapon with dual strike. I also agree that Cannoneer needs a buff. I've mentioned before that "Craft Bomb" should include all bombs available at the marketplace. This would make the effect bombs more available and a huge plus for that class. You could also replace one of their existing job traits with a discount to the bombcrafter shop. On rolls of 2 and 3, instead of causing elemental damage to all enemies, an effect bomb would cause the effect to all enemies and then have the Cannoneer deal damage to all enemies. Also, with the ability to combine bombs at Almight's, the corresponding damage of the bomb could be added to the WP and level. -
"Heh!" Hybros attacks Wight B then Wight C with Justice from the back row, using a potion on the hero with the lowest health each turn. Battle Order: Hoke Dyric Erik Guts Guts Em Thalion Mizuki Torc Hybros Hybros OOC: Pie, I think you forgot to update my stats. I should have a few more items from the marketplace (as should Em). I also left the Scroll of Luck back in the Hall. The inventory count should be adjusted, too.
-
"Good idea, Dyric." Hybros pokes Mizuki. "Hey, woman. Can I borrow that Kjorfalneire Tongue?"
-
OOC: All players, check your inboxes. "From what I saw of Thormanil and his dragon, as long as the bond is close you will always be there to help each other. I have never seen two people work so closely together before, heh." "Hm, then I suppose we should look elsewhere. If the Bonapartes truly know everything that goes on in these seas, then they will know where the Magpie has gone." Hybros turned to Dyric. "It is good to hear that you were skilled enough to defeat Wren. In that case..." he presented a red package. "The mark of a true assassin. If you are truly as skilled as you appear, then this Cloak of the Red Assassin will strike fear into our enemies. Take it." As Dyric unfolded the cloak, he found that wrapped inside it was the Sword of Ancestral Hatred. "Sometimes this trade requires getting closer to the enemy than they would suspect. Take this blade, it will slice through flesh without resistance. Oh, and this too..." he handed over the Banana Bladerang. "Take care of these items, I expect them back at the end of this journey, heheh." He then addressed Em, and handed over the 2 Mulled Wines, 2 Ambrosias, and 2 Phoenix Essences that he had purchased for the Warden.
-
Hybros nodded, partially because his body bobbed up and down from the handshake. "The same to you. And your companion..." he looked up to the sky where Torc soared. "She will be joining us, yes? I recently quested with another dragon, by the name of Arx. He was almost as big as your friend, heheh."
-
Hybros arrived at the docks and looked out over the sea. The sunset made his pupils shrink to slivers, and his crimson eyes reflected the deep orange hue of the sky. He smelled the spring air, and the sea breeze rippled through his wings. "Does anyone know what this ship looks like? We are in the right spot, I think... perhaps someone with a telescope can scan the waters, eheh." He looked around. "I am Hybros by the way," he addressed the heroes whom he did not know: a woman from the East, a shirtless man with a large helmet, and another human with his dragon companion. OOC: Thanks for choosing me, Pie! I made a stop to the Marketplace; Em should have 208 gold, and I should have 295. I bought 2 Neautralizers, 2 Tiger Balms, 10 Remedies, and Em's items which I will hand over shortly. Scuba is second-in-command.
-
Hybros nods to the other heroes, and prepares to head to the marketplace. Before doing so, he leaves the Scroll of Luck pinned to the questboard with a note.
-
Hybros makes some last minute purchases and picks up 2 Neutralizers, 2 Tiger Balms, and 10 Remedies for 200 gold. He then grabs 2 Ambrosia, 2 Mulled Wine and 2 Phoenix Essences for Em for 170 gold and pockets the extra.
-
With a smile, Hybros nodded to his new acquaintance. "Dryric Rone, yes I am Hybros. I saw your name on the list. Assassin of the Light, hm? I hope that does not mean you discriminate when it comes to doing what needs to be done, heheh. Although from the looks of it--" he eyed the crossbow. "--you are well trained for such a thing. Ehem, I believe I have heard your name before... you would not happen to be one of the heroes that defeated Wren did you?"
-
"Em, it is good to see that you will be coming along on this one, too. I can get those things for you, yes, heheh." Hybros waited and looked around for the other party members to request potions.
-
Hybros sat back up from his reclined position to get a better look at the notice being posted on the questboard. "Well Guts, looks like we are off again, heheh. I told you to enjoy the down time while you could. I will see you at the docks." Hybros checked his gear. He would need to make a stop at the marketplace before heading out. This would be a bigger party than he was used to, and he would be leading this time. He noticed Thalion approaching. "Eheh, my friend, I will come with you. I have a few things to purchase myself." He looks back at the Hall, and directs an announcement to the other chosen heroes, not knowing some of them personally. "If anyone needs some extra potions before we leave, let me know. I can get a discount, heheh."
-
"Can you not just relax for a moment, Guts? We are always out there seeking whatever it is we or or our employers want. I have found closure in part of my life. I am taking a moment to enjoy the present rather than consider the mistakes of my past or the ghosts of the future. Perhaps you should, too. I think we have deserved some rest."

"Ah!" Hybros quickly waves the alchemical equipment away. "Perhaps you are right to stick to the wine, eheh." He leans back in his chair and watches the Hall with Guts for a while, a satisfied grin splayed across his face.
-
"Heh, you know well enough that my assassin days are behind me. But you also know that a well placed kill could mean all the difference." Hybros smiled back, but maintained his hard stare. "The name is not important, that is why it can be anyone." He took another long sip before tearing his gaze from Guts. "Ehehm, but as Boomingham would say, this is heavy talk for light company. Let us drink while we can, heheh." He began to signal for Scherezade, but hesitated. "Unless your alchemy has advanced to the level that you can brew it yourself? Heheheh..."
