  1. I always keep them flat side up, and am very OCD about it when they come in the minifigure upside-down or when other people have them upside-down in their Lego pictures. No, because like you said many Lego pieces are choking hazards. Besides, I think minifigure hands are too small to choke on anyways.
  2. Oops, sorry. In any case, I'm also going over what's been said (or rather, what hasn't) today, to see who's been quiet.
  3. Those are some very emotionally powerful shots, Linko. Well done!
  4. Henry, at first I thought you were joking, but now I see that you're serious, and your claim is ridiculous. Of course there's a threat, there always is in these games... of life. Does this make Petra scum? No, but have her reactions led you to further believe that she is? I'll leave the answer up to you. Right now, I agree with Sammy. I think our best course of action is to see who's been sitting back and watching while the rest of us throw accusations around. This is where the real scum will be, trying to fly under the radar. You're so smart my lovely wife! This is true, we can't really suspect anyone at this point, but we have to vote someone off, or we'll likely lose a loyal family member in the night at random. I suggest starting with that list that Sammy so kindly offered to make for us.
  5. The animation looks good, and we can look forward to at least some new designs, even if they aren't made into sets. And if a writer from the Simpsons is on board, then it ought to be good.
  6. Back off my daughter, chocolate-faced fiend! *Cough* Uh, then again, that crate of SMGs she begged me for couldn't have been for decoration...
  7. Looks much better now, Taz. It looks a lot more like a hog now, and the shape flows more. I especially like the use of the pistols for mufflers. Who?
  8. This is a good first attempt, TazManiac. The overall shape is cool, though I guess it could be a little smoother looking. The back looks chunky, and I think it would look better if the bricks followed one structure rather than go different directions. The gold cheese slopes, for example, take away from the shape of the rear rather than add to it at this point. Also, while the back is pretty detailed, the front is bare in comparison. Maybe you could beef up that part a bit? By the way, does the title have anything to do with ?
  9. Yeah, you can just give them a call or email customer support and they'll send you a replacement right away. No receipt is needed, just the set number and some info about the damaged/missing part I believe.
  10. Do I know you from somewhere? You don't have any psychological weapons hidden in that dress of yours, do you?
  11. No doubt about it, the Spalko hair is perfect for Quorra. I suppose my only nitpick is that the torso could be a little bit more detailed, to differentiate this minifig from you other Tron ones. And this is only a personal preference, but I guess I would've used flesh over yellow (for a better head choice). Nice work on this one, though.
  12. Wow, really cool stuff here, Nuju Metru. Creating one's own theme is fun, but also a challenge. You've done a great job making a variety of sets, with separate factions, main characters, and awesome dragons. I will be following this topic closely, as I look forward to more sets in this theme of yours.
  13. Jacob (or is it James?) checking in. Pleased to be here, hopefully we can stomp out this threat to the family as quickly as possible.
  14. Looks cool, it would be a good way to get those rare figures. However, Big Cam brings up a good point. Are we sure it's a legitimate set, and not a knock-off? I see no set number or any other information that you usually see on Lego packaging. It looks genuine, but anything can be faked. Another thing is that we haven't heard of this before; it's pretty common to see a set months in advance of its release.
  15. Happy Birthday Draggy and Alice! Hope you two have/had great days, filled with those beloved little bricks.
  16. Flickr is not working for me at all right now, so unfortunately I will not be able to enter (due to time constraints). Sigh... But, I wish the best of luck to all entrants, I will look forward to seeing the final entries once I return from my trip that I am taking.
  17. Six months since I've played in a mafia game. I need my fix, Q-man! (That is, if I'll be in town to play it. )

Wow, awesome stuff guys! My favorite part is the moving water, I don't think I've ever seen Lego so lifelike before. I also love the presentation that you guys do for these huge post-apocalyptic Brickworld projects. The poetic teasers are almost as exciting as the project itself, and really add to the whole thing by adding background. It's a really creative way to tell a story with Lego and the Internet. I really hope this tradition is continued for future Brickworld events.
  19. Here are some funnies that I just made, with thanks to Oky Wan Kenobi for help on the captions. Enjoy!
  20. After seeing this, I've realized that battle droids would actually be really creepy in real life, if I saw one in the woods or walking down the street.
  21. I also like Radiohead. I've only listened to some of their music, mostly their older stuff, but I like what I've heard. It's a little obscure, especially their videos, but good music nonetheless. I personally like this one the most: I can agree with you there. I'm currently listening to some 90s alternative stuff. I really love the grunge era of rock, and even though bands are (and never will be) as good as they once were, it's good to see groups like Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden getting back together recently. This one's just timeless:
  22. I emailed and got one sprue of the old chrome coins. Not a total loss, because the old coins are great, but I really wanted a chrome gold bar. Oh well, if time is money, then I guess I won't waste anymore trying to get a little piece of plastic.
  23. Wow, stunning entries Darkblane. I'm going to be challenged to compete with those. I especially like the detective (wish I would've gotten a trenchcoat for one of mine, but it takes too long to ship) and the bounty hunter. Creative vignette, too. That presentation with that photography will be hard to beat. (Yes I am following Category B very closely.) I agree with you on both of those points. I spent most of the past month making the minifigures alone, and I kind of wished I had thought more about what I was going to do for my vignette. Indeed, I would surely be exhausted of creative minifigure ideas if there were to be a second competition like this.
  24. Hilarious panes, George G. I love the first two, very punny.
