  1. Oh, I also forgot to mention--Jailkeeper is an alias of a Paranoid Doctor. There's also an Insane Doctor who usually has a 50% chance of killing his patient, and a Naive Doctor who is unsuccessful in protecting his patients. The doctors are always told that they are Sane in their role PMs. To give you an example, Ricecracker was a paranoid doctor in Werewolf. He was trying to help the town, but unknowingly hurt it by protecting (and blocking) Draggy from giving iamded silver bullets before he died.
  2. Nice ones, Linko. I also like the last one, but if there's an edit-free version of it, could you please post it? I'm assuming the original was taken during sunset and the colors weren't edited, am I right?
  3. Wow... I'm just speechless BadLeo. I don't think I've ever seen a technique quite like the one you used with slopes to make the famous Sydney Opera House. Not only that, you added excellent details like the lights, and the very cool base and surroundings.
  4. Thanks for the review, Brickster, it certainly helped me decide whether to get this or not. My evaluation of the set differs from yours, thanks to the pictures you provided. To me, there's few pull factors to this set besides the excellent minifigures. Sure, the sails are nice, but they disguise the flaws of the ship's body. The design is boring overall, with a mismatch of colors (I hate dark brown and dark red together). I probably would've felt differently if they added some decoration to the deck and sides, or even just tiled the deck a bit instead of leaving it with plain studs. Throw in the fact that there's practically no play features, and that's a garuntee that I won't be forking over 120 USD for this. Sorry for such a Negative Nancy about this, but I had high hopes for this set. I guess if I really want the figures that can't be found in other PotC sets, I'll look out for magnets or buy them from BL.
  5. LOL. Didn't know you were an online computer tech assistant.

  6. Very nice MOC, Walter. I love the calm color scheme of dark and sand green and dark tan. It fits well for a cozy artist's apartment. I'm also a fan of the skylight windows, they add a lot to the MOC.
  7. Yay, thanks for the first PotC review, Fangy! This is my most-wanted of the new sets, mainly because it has the best figures and is one of the least expensive. The new pieces are great, I especially like the gold bullion bars and the sword sheaths. And of course, the minifigs are great. Should be useful for some Victorian-style minifigs, don't you think?
  8. Sorry if this was mentioned here or elsewhere before, but according to Brickset, TRU stores in the United States are having a BOGO1/2 sale for all Lego sets besides Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Mindstorms. And like they said, it's just in time for the PotC sets, so now's a good time to get them cheap.
  9. Nice work, Penguin. The best ones, in my opinion, are Dooku and Anakin, though Luminara is pretty neat too. However, I don't think modifying them really works in the other cases. Don't get me wrong, you did a good job with the eyes, but their other facial features such as Obi's beard and Mace's wrinkles are just too cartoony. The normal eyes match less with them than I would have thought. In cases like these, I think it's just better to replace the CW head with a normal one (Ep. III Kenobi or Seso from Battle of Alamut for Mace).
  10. Happy Birthday, blueandwhite!
  11. Nice little vig here, HeLena. In a MOC this size, it's the little things that count, such as the hand-made drawing and little suitcase with money. Good way to display the new artist minifig, too. Isn't it just awesome?
  12. Nice work, Alopex. Of course, there's about a hundred other roles and even more variations out there, but I think you got most of the basic roles which is good for noobs (and even older players who need a refresher). Some feedback for you (if you don't mind): I would also include the mason recruiter, mason, usurper (related to the Godfather role) and siblings roles. If you're including aliases and flavor roles, such as Angel, you should either make a color key or remove the blue, so people who don't know any better don't mistake it for an alliance color. The Hunter role wasn't exactly like a vigilante, so I'm not sure if it's an official alias for that role. You might want to mention a variation of the arsonist where they "prime" their targets one at a time each night before detonating and killing all of them at once. If the firefighter targets someone who's been primed, they are longer primed. I may be wrong on this, but I always thought the Mafia Goon was the equivalent of a vanilla townie, and it was the hit-man who did the killing. You may want to clarify that the host is considered the "moderator". The difference between the host/game moderator and the forum moderator (Draggy, other EB staff) might be confused. --- Again, thanks for doing this. I really like how you did those little vignettes, they add a lot to this handbook, and differentiate it from the mafiawiki role guide.
  13. *Continues munching on popcorn*. This has to be one of the most exciting games I've ever witnessed, especially Day 10. Especially so, since I'm only watching from the sidelines.
  14. We need a "like" button on here.

  15. It's been over 24 hours, wasn't there someone who was skipped who could go now?
  16. Happy Birthday, Rufus! Hope you have/had a good one!
  17. Well now that you say that... Where the Red Fern Grows?
  18. I did like Inception's soundtrack better, but I don't think the Social Network's was "one-note". IMO the music fit in well with the film. Plus, it was done by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, who's apparently one of the best composers of our time. Speaking of NIN...
  19. Maybe a long shot, but, Airbud?
  20. Wow, where'd that come from? Great news, though, this is a very cool looking set. Never was one for UCS sets, but I'm sure our more avid collectors will snap it up quick. I'm surprised there aren't more minifigures or at least an exclusive fig. Or no figs at all. You'd think with a UCS set they'd go one way or the other. Oh, and: Save, people!
  21. Updated. I have 1 fisherman up for trade, and would really like a rapper or tennis player in exchange if anyone has one!
  22. What do you mean by that? If you're talking about voting for people who "seem scummy", then I think the answer also resides in the fact that this is an All-Star game. To avoid "playing in the discussion thread", I'll expand on this after the game has concluded. But if that's not what you mean, please do explain. I also agree with badboy that it also has to do with PMing. EB mafia has grown a lot over the past few years, and its players have learned so much. The result is something transformed, so I don't think things will be the same again for EB mafia. (Another thing is mafiawiki. I still haven't decided if it's a good thing or a bad thing for everyone to know all of the roles ever invented.)
  23. Cool, thanks for the info Invader Zim. You wouldn't happen to know if Barnes & Noble is the only place (besides LEGO stores) that sell them in the US, would you?
  24. Gahhh! That was way worse than Werewolf's dream sequence. Slut.
  25. Hehe, thanks for doing that one for me, Oky! Keep up the hilarious panels.
