  1. Hybros stepped back into the hall once again. He was feeling glad, for the ones chosen to go on quests would be revealed today. He was anxious to know if he got into any of the quests, and who his companions would be. Sitting at the bar, Hybros ordered a glass of spring water, and sat to await the results.
  2. Like I said, through the sensible words of Donil and Samuel, I've realized that Petr's actions were truly town-like yesterday. He wouldn't be fueling the fire and getting himself in deeper than he already was if he was scum. Today he is making more sense, too, though Stanislav's counterarguments are as well. I don't know what to think of all this, but I'm going to put Petr on hold for now while we focus on this more pressing matter. Or she could just be overconfident. If what Ruxana says is true, then there's no way she could "know", for sure, that Donil was scum. She saw him target Yuri, and that's it. That is far from confirming anything, except that Donil has a night action. I'll reserve my judgement for a little while longer, and see what else comes up. I would like to see what else Donil has to say.
  3. Ah, I missed that, thank you for reminding me. I do agree with your theory, that the Tommy gun killer is the vigilante. This is a good thought, and we can't ignore the possibility that we may be dealing with more than one group of scum here.
  4. I just saw Cowboys & Aliens, and loved it. A lot of people, I hear, thought it was corny but I thought the mash-up was very well done. With an all-star cast of Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, and more familiar faces, I enjoyed every bit of this movie. Probably the best in my mind since Inception. Also, I went through the whole film thinking Indiana Jones & James Bond & Tron was the real title of the movie. Oh, and one thing I noticed was that the character Percy in this film was very similar to the Percy in The Green Mile (both directed by Steven Spielberg). Both characters were the snobby offspring of rich, powerful fathers who did whatever they wanted (and got beat up a lot for it). Did Spielberg have something against a Percy in Jr. High or something?
  5. Congrats Phred! I may be mistaken on this, but I seem to remember in my early days at EB that you were a Pirate mod as well (?). Then again I rarely ever visited that forum, so what would I know?
  6. Oops, I mean corrected in God's vision. Like I said, we'll find out in a few hours whether or not there will be a third killing, but what makes you think that the pistol killer is scum? Do you think the Tommy gun killer is a vigilante?
  7. Another clue! We should lynch the host in win the game! Just kidding, you're doing fine Hinck. I know it can be really stressful getting everything together on time, and real life does not always cooperate with that. By the way, loved the creative way of presenting the night scene. It was agonizing to not know who was being killed as I read it.
  8. Now that the weapons were switched, I'm not so sure of what has happened here. All I know is that it is of vital importance that we figure out which killer is which. Let's think about the poison yesterday for a moment. Would it make more sense that the scum have interchangeable actions, to confuse us? I'm thinking back to one particular film, called Dr. Bloodbrick's insane asylum, where all of the scum would change who did the killing each night. If that were true in this case, their killing methods might differ from killer to killer. This theory would indicate that the pistol killer and the poison killer are both scum, and the Tommy gun killer is the vigilante. Some might argue that the choice of weapon will be an indicator, such as the Tommy gun traditionally being a mobster weapon, but can we really rely on such notions? It would also make more sense that a vigilante would kill Eugene because of his erratic behavior, and not scum who know that Eugene is already on his way to getting lynched for that behavior. Does anyone else want to take a guess at who's who in this sick killing game?
  9. Damn. Elena was one of my closest allies, and now she's dead. And Yuri... the scum will pay. One thing to note is the presence of a second killer tonight. Were they restricted from killing the night before last, or can they choose to kill or poison? I suppose we'll find out before lunchtime, but I sure hope we don't have three killers on our hands here. One thing to note is that after the fact that Yuri knew something about Ruxana was revealed, she was killed. This leads me to believe one of two things: - She was killed by scum trying to frame Ruxana, or - She was killed by a vigilante due to her odd claim yesterday. After all, how would she know about Ruxana's action on Day/Night 1? Now I'm not defending Ruxana here, but to me it seems highly unlikely that if she were scum she would risk putting all of this attention on herself by killing Yuri. As for Petr, I am now convinced that I was mistaken and that he is town. After listening to the words of Samuel, Petr, and Donil, I believe that his plan really was an attempt to unite the town (even if it was simple-minded). Meanwhile, the scum were probably laughing their a$$es off watching us argue. Also, we should heed these words from Ivan: Notice how he said "vigilante" instead of "vigilant". Could this be a clue, one saying that the vigilante killed tonight? That could support the theory that the tommy gun killer is the scum killer. Also, what does he mean, changed? Have the night actions somehow been changed, as our punishment for not convicting yesterday?
  10. Love the reference, Posades. Your Barbarian wouldn't happen to have that tattooed on his arm, would he?
  11. Hybros the imp wakes from a deep, calm slumber outside beneath some trees. Someone watching him wouldn't realize this, as he slept with his eyes open and in a sitting-up position. Did he even have eyelids? Did he even sleep normally, or just let his mind drift to other places? Stepping back into the Hall, Hybros rejoins his fellow heroes for more idle talk until the quests started. He hoped he would be able to go on one. It had been a long time since he had had any adventures. Realizing that with the huge crowd of heroes now present in the hall, Hybros decides to better his chances at making it in to a quest by signing up for all three. Walking over to the questboard, Hybros signs his name under Quest #1: Harvest Time "So, has anyone else heard the rumor that you can't be harmed in battle while using an item? That will be useful, I imagine".
  12. I'm not saying there isn't, but as of right now I am sick of arguing and am beyond the point of caring if you get lynched or not. Chances are you won't, so congrats on surviving today. I'm going to bed early, and letting these people decide what to do.
  13. Yup, you caught us. All three of us are mafioso, because we joined the bandwagon. Along with the 13 others that voted for him, including you, who voted right before me. Are we all mafia without knowing it?
  14. Really? That makes little to no sense, as usual. I would think the scum would try to avoid contact in this case. I was simply trying to judge your trustworthiness. Of course I would like private contact when I can't trust or be suspicious of anyone, when private contact can offer me an opportunity to judge someone individually. I like how you're trying to turn this on me, by saying only a scum would claim vanilla and ask for info from their contact. Yet, this is exactly what you did. Again, you're confusing the hell out of me, and that makes me all the more confident that I should be voting for you.
  15. I'm trying to unite the town so that we can actually reach a decision. I've already said and repeated everything I've needed to say, and if that seems pushy to you, well good for you. I don't really care how suspicious you find me, I am only certain of one thing: you are dangerous to the town. Plus, you never explained why you found me suspicious before I voted for you.
  16. Well, by splitting the vote we'll never reach a conviction. We'll have accomplished nothing today. Is that really how you want to go into the night? Suit yourselves, but I'm not changing my vote. I still believe Petr has something to hide, the only way we'll know for sure is by finding his alignment. I'm just glad I won't be on the non-voter list. To me, it seems most likely that those would be the ones to be punished if a conviction is not reached.
  17. Nice little collection of purist figs, Triborough. I have a bunch of gangsters like those set up, too, and I'm really looking forward to that S5 fig. Where's that gray pinstriped suit, to the right of the Godfather, from?
  18. Not discouraged from her apparent displeasure, Hybros proceeds. He rarely displayed emotion physically. He never blinked, and kept constant eye contact with those he was speaking with (assuming they were at eye level). "I would argue that point, my dear. My people have been living deep beneath the surface for eons, far from the sun. You'd be lucky to ever see someone like me again".
  19. Ah. Well you're quite right, but in cases like this, where we've read and put ourselves in the situations of so many books, we can't expect everyone to act the same all the time. I agree, but who am I to turn around and accuse those who agree with me? Put yourself in their shoes for a moment. We don't have any cases as strong as this, Petr is by far our best option. We have just a little while left in the day, and the way things were going, I would've doubted a conviction. The best thing to do is to take action now. I understand your reasoning behind not wanting to lynch Petr, I understand that perfectly well. Trust me, I've thought about this situation a lot myself, and it never adds up in my head. Despite being outspoken, Petr is still causing confusion. Like I said, that's never a good thing if you want people to trust you. And honestly, who better to vote for? I disagree with lynching Barbara. She seems fine to me, and hasn't done anything suspicious at all. You haven't really presented a case besides "she's quiet and unhelpful". Maybe she doesn't know anything. I (and a number of others) have been just as quiet/unhelpful as her, because we can't add anything to the conversation.
  20. Was Benji a loudmouth? No. He was voted off for being quiet and not expressing his opinions. That worked out so well yesterday, so we might as well repeat that with Barbara, right? Am I? I'm being as open and forthcoming as I can about this. I gave you all of the information, all of the facts... and still I'm being called a liar and a snake. I don't appreciate that. And I'm not "pushing for a townie lynch", as you keep saying. If I was scum I certainly would not risk my life just to take down a "vanilla townie", as Petr claims to be. This is only way we'll get answers, and I'm going with it.
  21. "I'll take that one, please", said Hybros, pointing to a shovel in Gnomeo's Tool Shed. Gnomeo handed the digging device over, and Hybros poured out all of his coins into the merchant's hairy hands.
  22. Hybros spots the Mage, Namyrra, stride in. She has a distinct aura of darkness surrounding her, he thought. Much like my people. "Hello", Hybros said to the new arrival. "Your homeland... what's it like there?". And you wouldn't happen to know a Rehctu Bmij, would you?
  23. Now you're contradicting yourself. In your private chats with us, you said that you hoped one or more of us was scum so that if you were killed, we'd be suspicious of each other. Now you're saying the opposite, and hoping that we would all trust each other. Which one is it, Petr? Why not? I haven't done anything before this vote started except point out the flaws of your plan in private. You didn't bother to reply to that, either. And if you didn't trust me, why did you contact me in the first place? You just said yourself that you hoped all of the people you contacted would be town. Like I said, I sincerely hope you're not town. That's not saying much, but I'm taking a chance with this either way. If you're town, I'll likely be the suspect tomorrow, but if you're scum, I imagine your allies would want to take revenge tonight.
  24. Well, I wanted to wait longer, but time is ticking away, and I must present this accusation now. Vote: Petr (Zepher) Not to worry, a lengthy explanation follows. As many of you have noticed, Petr has been acting strange and erratic. Most notably, today he proxied his vote to Samuel, who we know has something strange going on with his voting ability. But this is not why I voted for him. You see, on Day 1, Petr contacted eight random people, including myself and the late Eugene (it should be noted here that earlier today Petr said that Eugene was his only ally. While this may be true as I'm voting for him right now, the statement seemed to imply that Petr had not had any private conversations with anyone else). Anyway, here is what he said to us eight: This seems reasonable enough, but there are a few things to notice. - Petr suggested that we pool information. However, this is a one-on-one conversation, and we don't know who the others are. Petr could easily filter information that is being sent and received to his liking. - In addition to that, pooling information with randomly chosen people is, quite frankly, idiotic. If one or more of the chosen people were scum, it would be very easy to mix in false information. Or, if Petr is scum, for him to mix in false information and have the rest of us become paranoid of each other. Alright, let's look at the next automated message: (The red was me in case that wasn't obvious). A few more things become clear here: - Painting a target on his head? The smart scum move would be to not kill him and avoid drawing suspicion to themselves. Plus, Petr cannot avoid being killed by someone outside of the conversation (being killed for another reason). This move only protects himself and doesn't help the town. - Now that we know everyone else he contacted, the first move, presumably, would be to go to them and exchange information. There's another opportunity for false information to find its way to townies, and increases the risk of voting off one of our own. To me, the whole thing looks like Petr is trying to cause confusion and paranoia among these people. If he is scum, he knew all eight people are town, and was trying to get us to be suspicious of each other. Maybe, even, we would go ahead and kill ourselves off. And yes, I realize that once Petr died, all eight people contacted would realize his alignment, and since he claims to be town, we would all be accusing each other. Remember though, that Petr protects himself in these ways: - If I had a killing role (alignment aside), I can't kill him because that would make me scum. - If I brought this to the public (as I'm doing now), I'm scum because then the scum know about this so-called strategy. So you see, Petr means to not be killed, and keep his alignment a secret. Since no one knows his alignment, we can't kill or lynch him because if he is town, we'd be suspicious. But there's still no way of knowing, unless we lynch him. Does this makes sense? So, I'm doing what goes against my gut instinct and revealing all of this to everyone, because I know that I'll be a suspect if Petr turns out to be town anyways. However, seeing as we don't have any better options with reasoning besides "he's quiet" (that didn't work out too well yesterday, did it?), this, I believe, is the best course of action. For everyone's sake, I hope Petr is scum or neutral (could be a Jester with all of this idiocy). All I know is that he's confusing the hell out of me, which is never a good thing when we're trying to find scum. And, as I've said before: A stupid/confusing townie is just as dangerous as scum.
  25. "Ah, I see, thank you for telling me", said Hybros. "Yet, we have orcs here among us, surely they can't be all bad. I also heard something about the orc race's slavery... I wonder if that had anything to do with the invasion?".
