  1. Hmm, if that wench think she can win simply by hiding and magically stealing our health, then she's sadly mistaken. I look forward to when we get to show her what's what. Hungry for blood, Hybros brandishes his Mockthril Longsword and picks out his target. I'll attack the Secondary Guard C from the front row. It's about time I fought something.
  2. Hybros glares at his Barbarian ally. He can't help but to feel jealous of Eric's and Cronk's success at the anagrams. Well done, Eric. Now, about this lever... maybe if we pull it (wherever it is), we'll stop magically travelling through hallways. Hybros casually leans on a sconce, hoping he will 'accidentally' pull a lever.
  3. I'm not the biggest fan of abstract ship shapes ever, but I think you've done a really good job with this. The three color glow is awesome. I also like all of the greebling on this one -- it really gives the ship a more "underground" and unofficial look that is appropriate for a SW bounty hunter.
  4. Exactly. I usually don't have something significant to say. But let it be known that I really enjoy these topics and everyone's contributions to them. They really brighten my day. I can understand if you don't feel motivated to do them, but I hope you continue this tradition, Oky.

    Snow police

Nice MOC. The tank looks really chunky and compact, which are good things (especially with V2.0). I also really like the snowmobile, really innovative.
  6. She's not taking any more of mine... by the time we get out of this maze and fight someone she'll have robbed us all of our health! If someone else wants to give up health if they can't solve it, feel free. I'd also thought about "slave" or "slavery" as one of the words, but those don't seem to fit, either...
  7. I don't think that will be necessary. I believe the anagram includes "Cronk" and "spy" (even though spy is already spelled out...). Let's try... Cronk values her spy. No, that can't be right... I'll let someone else try it.
  8. Another anagram... hmm... So far, I've come up with "Cronk have" for the first two words, but I'm not sure if Cronk would say "Cronk has"... Either way I think both of those would have to have a proper noun(s) for the remaining word(s). No "Z" or "W", so definitely not Zoot or Wren... I've also considered "heal" or "heals" as possibilities.
  9. Hmph. The orc actually got it... Well done, Cronk, I knew we had to solve that riddle sometime. Though that goo... you're sure we won't be needed it (and you to wield it)? In any case, could we see that map that you had made, Cronk? I'm sure it would help when navigating these tunnels...
  10. Happy Birthday Hinck and Corvus!
  11. OOC: Sorry. I just want to solve this, and got caught up. I wasn't thinking.
  12. Ehem... I guess taking a guess wouldn't hurt. Would it be... Heroica will follow its ill raze? Probably not right...
  13. We already knew that one, but of course you like to play games...
  14. I hate to be playing this wench's games, but fine. I'll offer four health points in exchange for the number of words and one of the words.
  15. Ehem, I did mention that not a few minutes ago, Eric. Hybros rolls his eyes a little. Agreed. I think we should leave Hans and take Phil. I have a feeling that we'll be facing one tough enemy soon, after you all defeated the groups of guards. And even so, we could use another Barbarian in case he breaks into a frenzy. Very noble of you Jess. If you're sure about this, we'll get out of this mess and come back for you as soon as possible. "Hah! Damn it all if I have to sit in one of those cells again!" Hybros thought to himself.
  16. Yes, you guys should heal. Afterwards, I think we should return to the waiting room (can we?) and get moving. We should plan our attack on this witch. AKA can I kick some a** now?
  17. I've been following this closely for a while now, and just wanted to add to the comments to say well done. I've never seen your work before, but it's really great stuff and I'm really glad you decided to make this guide for us. I've always been a noob MOCer, but hopefully I can take some of these ideas for inspiration for future creations. My favorite parts are the river and the waterfall. The way you layered the tiles and plates to give an organic effect is really amazing. I tried something similar with a table scrap a while ago, but I'll definitely need to invest in some of those trans light blue plates. I also really like the willow tree, and how you achieved the drooping effect. That's not something you see very often in Lego MOCs. Keep up the great work, I'll be watching with much anticipation and interest.
  18. Thanks for the details pics! Excellent details on these. I think that the white band head print could be useful for something like a sick person, the white band being a cloth or a bandage. Anyway, I'll see what I can put together for the raffle. Must have awesome figures!
  19. Hm, I'm liking all of these opportunities to have armor for classes other than Knights. Perhaps if there were an extra helmet or cloak a certain imp might be interested in buying one.
  20. It was dark. Only a few hours ago, Hybros was dragged from the waiting room and thrown into this small cell. He didn’t bother trying to escape, because he knew he would simply be captured again, and was too weak to overcome all of the guards by himself. The cell was obviously meant to keep all light out, to frighten its inhabitant. However, evolution had granted Hybros eyes for seeing in the dark, and the walls of the small, dank room could be seen. Not that there was anything of interest, so Hybros sat and closed his eyes, drifting into a deep slumber. In another state of consciousness, the imp looked back on his past. He heard a grumbling voice. Hybros saw himself in the waiting room again, being hit upside the head by one of the guards. He heard the voice again, except this time it wasn’t only the guard speaking, but Lady Wren at the same time. As he was falling unconscious, Hybros couldn’t be sure what he was hearing. “So much for friends,” the voice said. “They sold you out as soon as I offered the choice to them.” Traveling further back in time, Hybros remembered when he first arrived in the Free Islands, and joined Heroica. He had met good people there, people of all species. He remembered before that, when he traveled all across the old Kingdom of Ennon and the lands beyond. But before that? He could scarcely remember. Suddenly, a rush of euphoria hit the little imp, and visions of a land long ago flashed before his eyes. There were imps, many of them, on the surface world. Yes, his own people! They thrived in nature. The land was rich and peaceful, with rolling green fields, dense forests, and mountains higher than Hybros had ever seen. His people were one with the earth, and gave in took in equal amounts. It was a time long, long ago. However, such a good thing was never meant to last. The peaceful images switched to those of danger, hatred. The fire of a new era scorched the land, and the fields, the forest the mountains… they all burned. A new species – humans, they called themselves – arrived on the shores of the countries inhabited by the races of imps. They were greedy, hateful and hostile, and tried to take the bountiful land from the imps. The imp races easily put out the threat at first, using their command of nature to defeat the primitive race. Using the trees and the earth and the beasts, the imps held their ground. But they continued to come all the same, in increasing numbers and with improved technology as the years passed. The imps were constantly pushed back by the relentless virus, and eventually fled to the only place they could: underground. The war had crippled the species as a whole, and to avoid detection the surviving imps dug deeper and deeper, to avoid detection. The seemingly insatiable beast known as humanity was satisfied, and soon the conflict, in the beast’s eyes, passed into myth. The imps were forgotten, but they themselves did not forgive or forget. They had to leave everything they loved and held dear, and almost completely lost contact with nature itself in the depth of rock and earth. Such was the price to pay for survival. In their greed and lust, the humans burned the earth, leaving it in a state that could not possibly be repaired to its once awesome beauty. Meanwhile, the imps were driven into darkness, very slowly growing their numbers, so that they might live to see the surface once again. Thousands of years passed, and somehow Hybros ended up on the surface. The vision – or was it a memory? – stretched into the present again, and just before Hybros could hear the cry of a thousand of his ancient ancestors, yelling out to him. He had a purpose on this world, and he knew he would be with his people once again. *** Hybros snapped back to reality. Someone was pounding on his cell door. It was his so-called friends, the very ones that put him in this darkness, just as the humans once did to his people. Were they his friends? Obviously they cared enough to come save him, but they must have needed him to help them escape as well. He flashed with anger. Did they really want to help him? Were they so much like those who drove his people out of their homeland, or had they changed? He decided to put it out of his mind for the moment. He stood up and stepped back as the door flew open. His eyes quickly adjusted to the silhouettes of his allies, his friends. Cronk, Jess, Docken… they had come to rescue him from this prison. Hybros crawled out of the cell. Trying to sound sincere, he looked at his allies and said “Thank you,” before gathering his posture once again. He felt better than he had since the start of the quest, more powerful. He had regained the strength he had lost from the cursed seed, and was anxious to do battle. “We should open those other cell doors,” he said. “Save your friends.”
  21. OOC: Sorry, accidental post. Hurry up and save Hybros!
  22. Ah, thanks. I don't quite remember that (I thought Anakin took a different ship to Mustafar), but it's been a while since I last saw it. I assume you were linking to your own post on that page? Sure, it might be more proportionally correct, but what's that do if it doesn't even look like the same ship anymore? Personally, I think they nailed the design when they went the simple route by using those angled plates for the wings. With this new green one, they ruined the sleekness and angularity of the old design by adding the inner "fins" (dark bley). Thanks for the info, though, I didn't realize Aayla's JSF was in RotS as well. Perhaps they can make that one next? On another note, I don't really like the printed dirt marks on the Stormies. There's a point where the printing can get too realistic, IMO.
  23. I missed this somehow. Great work once again, EB news staff. Hilarious, as always.
  24. Thanks for the pics grogall (and others before him). Some of these sets look really interesting. The Jedi Interceptor is a surprise to me, but am I the only one who doesn't like the design? I'm guessing it's based off of something from RotS, but I don't remember there ever being a green JSF in that film. The design seems chunky and thrown together, unlike the very well-built yellow Anakin JSF from 2005 and the Obi/Fisto dark blue JSF from 2007. I don't know if this green one is supposed to be a different ship entirely, but I think they should've just stuck with the old design. To add to that, the "normal" Anakin is a bit of a let-down. The hair and torso/leg prints are great, but the face just kills it for me. The "good" side looks more like the Lego Voldemort than anything (it would be better without the shadows on the eyes), and the "bad" side is just creepy. I think I'll just swap out the head with the old EpIII Anakin one if I ever get this one. The rest of the sets look fantastic, though. The battle packs are really looking great now. Compare those to the 2008 Stormie one, and see how far they've come. That red commando clone looks really good with the new kama and backpack. I also love the new X-Wing and its box art.
  25. Thanks for inviting me to play. Yeah, bad luck is right. Vamos Los Plutans!
