Yes, I know that. Even if he is "basically confirmed scum", as you say, there's no telling if he's the last or if there's more. If there is more, and if Ivy is the arsonist, then we'll have lost a significant amount of Criminals, including yourself, by tomorrow.

That's what I've been thinking about. There's really no guarantee that Ra's is scum, and that there's only one traitor left. I think we'd be better off not taking the risk, and now that Ivy's little secret is out, I have no doubt that if she is the arsonist, then she'll set off the bomb tonight. Hmm... well thank you for explaining but I'm not sure if I really believe you. I'll have to think this over.

Heroica RPG - Quest#15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger

"Perhaps that skeleton could be of some use to us? One of those decoys, maybe? I will check and pick up the skeleton." Hybros hoped he wouldn't have to crawl through because of his size. The last time he had wasn't the best of experiences. He waited while Erdathcath picked away at the secret entrance. -
Another traitor... I am really surprised at the number we've nabbed so far. Which makes me question... is there something we're not seeing going on here? I would have thought that we'd gotten rid of them all by now, but obviously they had a conversion or two up their sleeves. Sometimes it just seems too good to be true... Call me pessimistic. Now, onto the events of today. That's concerning, to say the least. Perhaps we have a serial killer on our hands, specifically one of the arsonist variety? It sounds like she's priming her targets and waiting for the right moment to set it off to me. May I ask, Creeps, how you were informed that you were seeded?

I just have to add to the compliments, Sandy, this big unveiling certainly did not disappoint. The Black Knight would be the best for roleplaying purposes for me, but the Assassin looks cool too. Decisions, decisions.... One criticism that I have is that the Berserker seems way to strong. With a huge amount of health and the ability to heal after battle seems a little too much, not to mention the massive abilities with rolls. Like the Black Knight, maybe there could be a consequence for rolling Shield (stunned for a turn), or the Natural Respite doesn't heal as much as the Barbarian. I can't tell if you're kidding or not... much earlier in this topic you said that we could have the weapons be any flavor we wanted, and I changed my Mockthril Shuriken to a throwing knife (without changing the WP of course).

Happy birthday CM! Hope it was a good for you.

Agreed, well done Jeb. I think the challenging battles were great, though I can imagine they'd have gone a lot different if the heroes didn't have such good luck. Hope to see more from you.

I think there's a line to be drawn that separates Lego figures from looking like Lego and looking like action figures. I'm all for these detailed minifigures - it's clear that a lot of effort was put into them. But it's just not Lego for me, and I think the time where that becomes apparent to people will vary based on age and how long they've been a fan of Lego. I think part of it is the theme choice. Star Wars is one of, if not the, longest running sub themes in Lego history, mainly because of it's great appeal to all ages. And thanks to new material like the Prequels and the CW series, LSW is able to maintain it's status as a top-selling theme. I imagine it has a lot more budget than any other current theme, hence the massive amount of new pieces and prints we get every year. There's a very distinct difference between the quality and new element count in LSW and other themes. For me, I think some of the prints are fine and others are not so great. For example, the upcoming Mustafar set contains greatly-detailed Anakin and Obi-Wan. While I'm fine with these prints, I can imagine the little details (white dots in the eyes, lines on the faces) will become over-represented, and the simple charm of the classic Lego figure will be lost. On the other hand, the new Clones look great, with a good amount of detail. I'm a fan of the balance struck by most of the non-licensed themes. The facial expressions are apparent, and are subtle with the details, e.g. few or no facial lines, dirt marks (like the Sandtroopers), etc. But I can understand the appeal for kids when the detail is turned up a few notches and the minifigures are more action figure-like.

That battle ant fight was ridiculous. At some point I think it would have been almost impossible to win, considering that the chances of rolling special damage increases with more battle ants joining the battle.

Someone might have forgotten to send in their night action. Not me though, I would never do that. Anyway, we have the investigation results, so what more is there to say? Even if Creeper was scum, it would be highly unlikely that he'd just sell out most of his teammates just so he could be trusted. We'd be seeing Day 16 by the time he got the numbers down so that he could outnumber us. Besides, it seems like Zsasz has basically confessed... so... Vote: Mr. Zsasz/Nightshroud

Heroica RPG - Quest#15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger
JimBee replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I'm all for fewer conflicts for now. We don't know what's ahead and it may be best to avoid the guards, at least until we come back," Hybros whispered. "I agree that we should take a quick look at the forest." -
It looks like we nailed another one yesterday... this time I was a little surprised, despite all of the facts against Simon. He acted like one of us loyalists all the way through, and I had considered the possibility that he was innocent a relatively large one. But, again, Creeps led the way and we're that much closer to overcoming this threat. Now, the Scarecrow... I'm thinking that it was our vigilante that killed him. The methods were the same as last night with The Ventriloquist: first they were blocked (on the ground, unconscious, it looks like), and then killed. I do not think the scum have a night killer, and perhaps the only one left is a day killer. If we've found something out in the night, I will certainly help follow through on it, but unfortunately have nothing to share.

With five gold more than he had before he started betting, Hybros thought it best to quit while he was ahead. "I'll quit now, thanks for the game Aquilo." OOC: Sandy, since I have the helmet now my health should be 19. Never mind. -
Thanks for showing how it was done, Jeb. It just goes to show how careful the QMs will have to be when creating their battles. We wouldn't want all boss battles to end like that, would we?

Harriet was a character played by Hinckley in Werewolf Mafia. During this time, Hinck almost went insane from trying at mafia too hard.

"Yes, perhaps it's not a good idea to bet on more than one element. Hehe... you're less likely to gain money. With that I'll attempt to get my money back by putting 10 gold on Darkness." -
Yup, just sign up for all of the quests you can. Even if you don't get picked, it never hurts to try. And you'll get into one eventually, as long as you're active.

I suppose a little gold couldn't do any harm. I'll bet 5 gold on Light and Darkness, each. -

"I have no further questions, I'm ready to go whenever everyone else is." -
Not that I wouldn't want to go on a quest that long, I would just take shorter ones over longer ones, mainly because, as you said, I would want to experience many different QMs and Quests.

When you claimed to "miss" Hatter's roleclaim and the message from Doll. It's not very reassuring when one flip-flops like that, especially when you hadn't checked before claiming so loudly: If you think this display of stupidity makes you seem any less scummy than you are, then I'm afraid you're mistaken. Before you provide a defense, check your facts.
