No no, I saw it alright (rave reviews, four stars, two thumbs-up!), but I just didn't realize what he was talking about. I forgot that you were a magician, and thought he was referencing God's plays.
-
A little disappointed he hadn't gotten into the Cave Sounds quest, Hybros reassured himself that there were two other quests to get into. Hearing of new information at the library, Hybros stumbled out of the crowded Hall and went to learn about the type of enemies others had encountered.
-
Ah, then sorry for the unfounded suspicion. I didn't know what he was talking about there at first.
-
Lots of talking going on here, sorry I'm not around to comment more. I doze off most of the time... Anyway, my choice is clear. Even though his fate is already sealed, I'm going to Vote: The Beast (CallMePie) Just thought I'd let my voice be heard. He's obviously causing confusion, and maybe he is neutral. Maybe he is jester. Or maybe he's just crazy (crazier than the rest of us, that is). And now in the later hours of the day he is now making absolutely no sense. Definitely not someone we want around, especially if we're going to vote for someone at all today. It's a little interesting how you've hopped on the bandwagon just because everyone else is, without hearing what has been said. That to me is a little suspicious, and I hope you at least knew the reasons for voting besides "everyone else is".
-
Agreed. Could he be a jester, trying to turn himself on everyone?
-
Ah, I overlooked that. Frankly, I'm not comfortable with letting anyone go since there's nothing to incriminate them with. But if worse comes to worse, I'd rather be voting for someone rather than no one, if others are going to vote. I don't want to be one of the few with a penalty.

Creepy tattoo guy with pink Mohawk (seriously, who would ever have their hair like that? I know I wouldn't. Ever.) is right, we're not really likely to find scum on the first day of this crisis, unless someone miraculously finds some incriminating evidence. There's also the option that none of us would vote, and we'd each be given the same penalty tomorrow. However, that'd be hard to police. While not lynching won't get us any answers, we'll also prevent a good patient's death. I'm just thinking out loud here, but what else can we do?

I'm here! Well, I wonder why that Marcy girl died so early... it's horrible that we're already losing our neighbors. Also, what's this medicine all about? Sounds to me like a lot of confusion, from what Heng has told us. Might as well take mine and find out... Day One-Shift Two 1. Strawberry Dust Sassy Cooter 2. Dried Bull Testicles Carl 'Black Beast' Pie 3. Yellowjackets Ali "Periscope" Perry 4. Peach Cobbler Rickety Cannon 5. Downers 6. Pot Pourri 7. Bug Dust 8. Paint Thinner Janie Beeswax 9. Uppers 10. DMT Pearl Nuttin 11. Nasal Inhaler 12. Blue Bennies Mmm, paint thinner. What's that? Oh, you didn't say anything. I could've sworn I heard you say... Wha?

Wait, bloggers now have their own User Group and board color? When does the RA get these?

[MOC] Mission 10.1 - Geonosis: a Sandbox from Hell
JimBee replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Love the ARC. The slightly-larger-than-mini-scale works perfectly, like you said. My favorite part is also the back, and I thought that the purple cones were very striking and added a lot to the character of the ship. Really nice vig, Doc. I hope you continue to post the vigs from this series here. -

Review: 4649858 Shadow ARF Trooper Promotional Polybag
JimBee replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Despite having several reviews and speculation topics about this minifig, I don't think I've ever stated my opinion on him (just because my opinion is a huge deal... ). I must say, this is one of the cooler Lego minifigures released. I thought the original white ARF trooper was cool, but the sharp black, silver, and white color scheme on this one really multiply that "cool" factor. I kind of regret not blowing 75 USD on LSW sets on May 4th now (I easily could have). LSW has some great promo figures, my favorites being the three chrome figs. I would've loved to add this to my collection. Thanks for the review, Masked. The great photos showed this little guy off pretty well. -
"Indeed, De'kra, you should fare well no matter what you face, as long as you have others at your side", Hyrbros said. As the shade prepared to leave, the imp added, "Farewell, I hope to see you soon", and with that disappeared from the Hall. He did not have dreams, or at least remember them, but he wish he did. Still, he needed sleep, and returned to his outdoor suite, which was a hole in the ground beneath a large thorn bush that only the smallest of creatures could enter.

Heh, indeed. The pride of the Ziegfrieds may be what is attracting such a demon, or maybe even the cause of it. But such talk should not be discussed when we're among friends. We're together now, and we must rejoice at that.
-
Pure evil. Some in ancient mythology may look like me, but I assure you I am no demon.

If anyone wanted to connect my character to a voice or personality, I usually link them to those of the egg monster in this video. I didn't base Hybros off of him, but I've realize that he reminds me of this Digimon. Just random note in case anyone was interested.
-
Yes, I think our findings are linked somehow. I think you have a solid theory on it, heh. I wonder how the Shadeaux are involved in this, though? Heh, only time will tell... That's disappointing, but at least you stood and fought them to the end, even if the fields were ruined. It also looks like you all found some... useful items. Like that Dread Hat, would look very good on me, hehehehe.

Returning from a much-needed sleep, Hybros hiked up the stairs to the bar, and chose a seat next to the tough-looking orcish knight, Cronk, and the Barbarian Tesni. "Heh...", Hybros grunted as he struggled into one of the chairs taller than himself. "So, I hear your names are Cronk and Tesni, I'm Hybros. I saw that you went on the quest to Ziegfried Manor, why don't you tell me a little bit about it? The Ziegfrieds seem like an interesting bunch to me, and seem to be involved in more matters than is generally conceived".

Some really great photos have been coming in recently. R8, I love that shot of the Emperor. It really reminded me of the mysterious figure from TPM (before I saw the OT), with his eyes in shadow from his hood. Linko, fantastic Tatooine shots. The sunset lighting is really reminiscent of the film scenes, which is something I haven't seen captured with Lego before, at least to this degree. The lonely, endless desert wasteland feeling is definitely present with the dramatic lighting and long shadows. I especially like the glare on Threepio in this one. Great stuff.

Returning to the questboard once again, Hybros notices two new quests. It seemed that the citizens of Freeport had began to take a larger interest in the services of those of Heroica Hall, and for that Hybros was grateful. "No rogues? Heh, apparently this so-called town watchman doesn't think a rogue is good enough for a thief...", he muttered to himself, instead signing his name under Quest #7: The Arena. It seemed to him that this Draco fellow appreciated experience, unlike the watchman. (Note: Hybros is now signed up for Quests 4, 5, and 7).
-
"Ah, I see", replied Hybros. "Yes, we so-called heroes that reside here sign up for quests to help those in need. We're something of an anchor among all of this chaos with the seven houses constantly fighting, and the outside world doing who-knows-what. I suppose it would be a good environment for you, with current condition. I hope that you realize your past while completing quests here". Poor little fellow...

Hybros looked at the shade, a bit puzzled. Hybros hadn't used or known his old language since his arrival on the surface world, and even then he couldn't have remembered it. He wondered if this little creature would understand it if he did, though. "It almost sounds like you've lost your memory", Hybros said to De'kra. "I know how that feels, to not know any of your past...". Hybros noted how young the shade looked, and wondered where he came from. "Do you remember how got here, to Eubrick Freeport?". Comprehending De'kras' words more after he spoke, he realized what he was saying. "A hermit, you say, sent you here? He was wise to do so. Do you remember where he was?".

Wandering over to the Marketplace, Hybros' money puch is considerably heavier than it was before he left. First, he stopped at Portia's Potion Shack, and requested two potions, a grand potion, and two remedies, costing him 40 gold altogether. (-40 gold) Next, Hybros stepped over to Gnomeo's Tool Shack. He was secretly pleased to realize that with his hat, he outranked the gnome height-wise. Smirking underneath his kerchief, Hybros handed over 5 gold in exchange for a bedroll. Even though he was a creature of the earth, the item would come in handy in case he had to regain health quickly. He also eyed the other tools, wondering if he would need any of them for his next quest. (-5 gold) Finally, the little imp arrived at the Smithy. He took out his Reaper Scythe, and remembered the tough spots this trusty weapon has gotten him through. But it was time to let it go in favor of using the stronger Fleuret he had gotten from defeating Umbra Shadeaux. He sold it to Anwyl for 15 gold. (+15 gold) Hybros also handed over his new Fleuret, to be reforged in order to become more powerful. The imp waited patiently while the tough blacksmith pounded away on the sword in his shop. When it was returned, the Fleuret gleamed with new power (WP: 5). Pleased with the result, Hybros paid the 50 gold for the service, and then returned to Heroica Hall. (-50 gold) Total: 210 - 95 + 15 = 130 gold left. Items added to inventory.

Hybros steps into the Hall once again, this time feeling much more confident after his quest. He looked back on it fondly, glad he got to work with the five fine allies he was with. He found a chair near the bar, and collapsed into it, exhausted from his journey. Hybros ordered a glass of water, and waited for his new friends to arrive. "What an adventure", he said to himself. Noticing the crowd gathered around the quest board, Hybros wandered over, and forced his small form through the legs of heroes to the front of the crowd. He noticed two new quests had been posted. As worn down as he was from his quest, Hybros couldn't resist the promise of a new adventure, and signed his name under both Quest #4: Taming the Lions and Quest #5: Cave Sounds. "I'm not sure about that Lions quest, the Shadeaux must not be happy with my allies and I after we defeated that Umbra character..." Hybros muttered to himself. Returning to the bar, Hybros noticed a small figure, similar in appearance to himself. Could it be someone like himself? No, impossible. He hadn't seen another imp since... "Hello there", Hybros said to the little Rogue. "I hear your name is De'Kras. My name is Hybros, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?

I agree, the Mage class is more powerful than I expected. If there's a rogue-mage hybrid, I think I might give that try.
