It sounds good, but not as much when you summarize it into a few words like that. My advice: keep the quest specifics to yourself until it's time to fully introduce them. As long as you know what you're doing, your quests should be fine. Responses for asking if it is a good idea shouldn't affect your ability to host, so IMO, don't ask at all. Especially if you got put down by a comment like "no that's dumb" and it could've turned out to be a great quest.

Hm? I just love huffing paint thinner. Indeed, although I would like to point out that it was confirmed by two sources, and one of them was a kill cop. Looking back, if Lumpy was able to kill, then it most likely meant he was one of the ones who killed the night before. Plus, his claims weren't making any sense. Turns out we were right about that, at least. I would just like to go into this voting period with as good of a feeling as I had the previous two days. I'm thinking we can't get lucky twice in a row, although it sure is possible considering Lumpy was neutral and not scum, so to speak. However, despite my second-guesses at our luck, I am well aware that the evidence is very convincing. If Heng was town and Fishboy was scum, Fishboy wouldn't put himself out there and lie just to lynch a townie. He'd be nailed for sure tomorrow.

I'm really not sure what to make of all of this. On one hand, the tracking of Heng seems plausible, but let's stop and think for a moment. One time, Rickity the roleplayer and I were playing this great game called Werewolf in our free time while here in the institution. It's a party game where you vote out bad guys. Anyway, the theme was called Baritones, and I was the tracker. I tracked Rickety, and saw him target someone who died the next day. Of course, I told my story to everyone, and we lynched him in the game. Unfortunately, he was Town, and had a very important role. This is why I say we must be careful. Obviously we'll not be losing a role since we all seem to get meds, but we'd be losing whichever med he took. Also, I think the same thing happened twice in that game of Werewolf (again with a blocker)... has anyone considered a different night action might've been preformed by Heng? And just because Heng stole the Beans, that doesn't make him a bad guy. Obviously both a townie and a scummie-worm would use their stealing action. Of course, fishboy could very well be right, but I'm just trying to look at all of the possibilities here. I've become much more cautious of these things lately. Especially since we've lost so many townies already... I'd like to hear Heng's response to all this, although the evidence is quite incriminating. Indeed, I will have to vote for Heng if nothing else comes up... As for meds, I'll take the Paint Thinner. Day three - shift two 1. White Crystals 2. DMT 3. Saline Infusion 4. Strawberry Dust 5. Paint Thinner Janie Beeswax 6. Sponk 7. Horse Tranquilizers 8. Nasal Inhaler 9. Red Devils

Oh, and no idea what this will do, but I'll take a crepe.

Two more townies dead... come on, fellow patients! I suppose we can guess that the pistol killer is the vigilante, but then why didn't they kill last night (even if it is from a med)? Did that med get lost sometimes on Day 1, and then reappear on Day 2? Or maybe the vigilante has a permanent action, and just waited to use it until now... whatever the case, they chose poorly.

Of course. We're all just talking too fast. Cronk, if it helps, here's my suggestion for weapon assignments. If it's just going to confuse/distract you, ignore it. Eric: 1x Mockthril Club (WP: 4, suitable for barbarians) Daggerfall: 1x Great Sword (WP: 5, suitable for barbarians and knights) Hybros: 1x Mockthril Longsword (WP: 4, suitable for knights and rogues) Cronk: 1x Bronze Longsword (WP: 3, suitable for knights and rogues) Docken: 1x Mockthril Crossbow (WP: 4, suitable for rangers) Henry: 1x Shuriken (WP: 3, suitable for rogues and rangers) Thothwick: 1x Shuriken of Mercutio (WP: 5, suitable for rouges and rangers) Jess: 1x Sword of Power (WP: 6, suitable for barbarians, knights, and rogues) I suggested the weaker of the swords for you Cronk, since Knights have a higher base power than Rogues (I gave myself and Jess the more powerful rogue-usable swords). Since Henry and Thothwick are equal in power, one or the other has to take the weaker shuriken . Of course, some of these are interchangeable (Cronk and Daggerfall, Hybros and Jess, Henry and Thothwick). I'm looking forward to questing with all of you. It's good to see some familiar faces as well as fresh ones.
-
Docken, perhaps you would allow me or another rogue to have the Shuriken of Mercutio, seeing as you're the only one who can use the crossbow. Personally, I think we should give the more powerful weapons to the inexperienced heroes among us, because they'll not be able to stand as long in the front line as us experienced ones. I which case, the two shurikens should go to Henry and Tothwick (since they are weaker and will be less damage done, so we'll lose less while they retrieve the throwing weapons). I'll take the Mockthril Longsword or the Bronze Longsword then.
-
Well it seems we've nailed the serial killer, well done everyone. Cribbage, anyone?
-
Hehe, I'm looking forward to it, Cronk.

"One more thing, mister dwarf", Hybros said to the blacksmith. "I'd like to have this shuriken upgraded to Level 5 power before I go on my quest". Hybros hands over the 50 gold and Anwyl returns a few moments later with the Mockthril Shuriken, sharpened to increase the power. Hybros now leaves with 35 gold in his pouch.

Just thought I'd point this out: Whenever dealing with a rogue using the throwing/melee weapon combination, hosts and players be aware of the change in the character's power as they switch weapons. If the throwing weapon and melee weapon have different strengths, then the power of the character will change mid-battle when the rogue switches weapons. This may be confusing, so Sandy, maybe you could add osmething about it to the rules? Players with this situation could adjust their character stats as well, something like: Power: 4(T)/5(M) T for throwing, M for melee. Of course, this doesn't apply to anyone yet, since I'm the only one using this strategy and both my weapons will be the same power in a minute (besides, I won't even be using my weapons in Quest 7). I just wanted to point it out for future reference.
-
Glad to see his name under a quest, Hybros thinks to himself, "Hmm... I suppose I'll have to put my new strategy involving throwing weapons on hold for now...". He was looking forward to what this mysterious quest, The Arena, had in store for him.

Vote: Zed "Lumpy" Furby (Zepher) Hey! That was only four excalmation points! The last post of yours had four, too (you were increasing with each post)! Penalty, penalty!
-
Imes, I believe you missed the Yellow Jackets, which were taken by Lumpy. That leaves the Saline Infusion for Draxia, I believe.
-
Indeed, Lumpy doesn't sound like he's telling the truth. Even if we were to save him today, he wouldn't be any help to us. My guess is that he really is neutral, and by proving to us that he won't kill anymore, he will simply try to survive without killing. Or maybe he had that promise prepared, and he uses a different method of killing each night. That's sure possible, especially in a place like this. To add to that, the MO of an insane doctor, I doubt, would be a gunblade.

Happy Birthday, ISC! Hope it was a good one.

Well, that's quite an unfortunate loss... four townies in just a day and a night. Brickhead seems to have found a good lead, and I think we should follow through on it. There's no reason for him to lie and put himself in the spotlight if he is scum just to nail a townie, so I'm going to go on this and see what happens. I would like to hear what Lumpy has to say, though. What are you doing? You've said this every time you've opened your mouth today, care to explain? I'll take my meds now. 1. Strawberry Dust 2. Paint Thinner 3. Black Beauties Janie Beeswax 4. Opium 5. Bug Dust 6. Magic Beans Shinobu Shiroba 7. Uppers 8. Blue Bennies Dr. Bethany Bovary 9. Yellowjackets 10. Saline Infusion 11. Sugar Pill Damn, Sassy beat me to the Black Beauties. Here's the correct list: 1. Strawberry Dust Janie Besswax 2. Paint Thinner 3. Black Beauties Sassy Cooter 4. Opium 5. Bug Dust 6. Magic Beans Shinobu Shiroba 7. Uppers 8. Blue Bennies Dr. Bethany Bovary 9. Yellowjackets 10. Saline Infusion 11. Sugar Pill

Community Build: SW Episode V - Empire Strikes Back
JimBee replied to ACPin's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I overdue for building something. I'll tentatively join, probably for something frosty. -
Nervous! Quiet! Paranoid! Oh, oh, is it mute? Hey! You're not allowed to talk during charades! Oh, you didn't say anything. Did anyone else here him say.... Wha?

Stepping into the marketplace once more after reading up on the land's enemies, Hybros thought it would be a good idea to equip himself in the best way possible before heading on another quest (if he got into one). "Hello again, Anwyl. I'd like to buy a Mockthril Shuriken, please, hehe". The dwarf retrieved the throwing weapon from his store, and exchanged it for 40 gold. Before he left, he stopped at Portia's Potions for a Smoke Bomb, leaving five gold on the counter. Hybros returned to the Hall, with the shuriken and smoke bomb, and 85 gold left in his pocket.
-
Hmm, well no use trying to sleep with all of you talking. I guess we just stay up and hope we'll say the light of day again?
-
I see. Well, now you just made me feel like a jerk. But great that the throwing weapons work like that, I'm going to go buy some now.
-
So, just to get this straight, if I (a rogue) throw a throwing weapon from the back row, I'll inflict regular damage (not halved)? And then, if I have another weapon, I can switch to using it the next round and then do what I want? If so, then it would be the advantage that rogues needed. In my experience from the last quest, Rogues are the weakest class (and I find the Flee ability a bit useless, since if the party needs to flee they can just use a smoke bomb), while the other classes have more special abilities that can deal more damage, protect, et cetera. By the way, I'm not complaining, I love this game. I just hope that I am providing constructive criticism that will be helpful. Also, wanting an advantage given to rogues is kind of ironic on my part, since I pointed out the flaw with letting them have regular ranged weapons.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum II: Fraulein Bloodbrick
JimBee replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Out of everything so far, I have to say that the subtitle on Day 1 is my faavorite, def. I count four double meanings.
