I will get 2, because I need valves, pumps, cylinders, tubing and motors. It's a great deal if one needs those parts. I think the most interesting part of the set is that it uses L-Motor. This is just a guess but probably new valves require some kind of different airflow pattern from the pump. For example if the valve is set to minimal airflow then it puts more stress on the pump to squeeze all that air through. Which makes me wonder how the motor is geared. Another possibility is that L-motor are kinda rare and you can't get them in small sets so TLG decided to make them more accessible.- 313 replies

AFOLs buy sets because it's LEGO, porche drivers buy it because it's a porche -

That is exactly what children do, whine, complain but still doing what they are told to do. So TLG wins this one. -

Easy fix - don't buy or continue to whine. If you don't like it just don't pay TLG with your money to show them that they need to change something. TLG can sustain couple of AFOLs leaving the hobby because TLGs reasoning will still be strong despite your feelings about it. -
That's a good advice. I have a list of at least 5 mocs that I want to built and somewhere along the road I always see a really interesting thingy in a video or real life and I become really curios with "How does it work" or "How did they make it work that way" and then I have a basic concept to transfer the mechanism in the lego and I immediately run into "lego problems" like scale, angles, lack of correct pins, weight and power concerns and many many more. But it feels so damn good to overcome this obstacles and make the device work!

We don't need to go full copy. For example they can make "Buran" instead of space shuttle this time. And don't mind me wrong but TLG has recycled sets multiple times. - Remember this yellow crane truck? - Which one? We have 4! - The one near the tow truck - Tow? Big, small or blue? - Well the one closest to the helicopter!!! - Is this a joke? - Well near the helicopter which is near the super car set - The red one? - NO! The better one! - JUST POINT AT IT! - This one! - This is not even yellow! - The crane part is!!! Just as I said - YELLOW CRANE truck. I mean they must have some kind of a 2 year checklist which consists of tow truck, crane, super car, excavator, utility vehicle and a tractor.

Gold? Based on prices my list usually suggests that parts are either made of antimatter or unobtanium of some sort. Power puller tires? - Vibranium stuff -

- It's ok, 3L joint won't break this time! *cracking sound -
I wish there was a limited technic category called "Legacy for the future" with the best technic sets from the past remade with modern parts. I really miss these guys By the way never seen an official set with a garbage truck. Probably because kids, garbage and stereotypes don't go well together. TLG could name it like RECYCLE truck. Makes a lot of sense and deals with potential of being discarded.
