  1. Thanks for the very thorough review. I really like how you covered the different play features of this set. It was nice to see pictures of a set actually getting played with.
  2. Great job. Thanks for the review. I was really wondering when someone was going to finally do a review of this set. Sorry about your stickers, it really bothers me when they're all bent up and creased coming right out of the box.
  3. The retail price in the U.S. is $39.99. You have to go to a LEGO store to get it at that price. It's more readily available at Toys R Us as an exclusive but it is listed with the TRU markup at $49.99.
  4. I was trying to be sarcastic, since I've read in different places how LEGO Customer Service and LEGO Store Employees have all said different dates for when the Death Star will be discontinued. Some of these dates have come to pass already and there's still no definite end yet.
  5. Great analysis, I completely agree. There are many factors that LEGO must consider and they do have to work from what they know.
  6. I would go with foolish. The fact that he didn't check the box before Asajj left shows me that he didn't think he would be betrayed. If he was expecting it, he would have looked inside knowing that betrayal was a possibility.
  7. Is this the same LEGO Customer Service that gives out different dates (depending on who you talk to) for when the LEGO Star Wars Death Star will be discontinued?
  8. A year ago, I would have said the Death Star if you're looking for a good collectors set that will go up in value. I still believe that the Death Star will go up in value but not to the same extent as the UCS Falcon. Also, plenty of Collectors have been investing in the Death Star and I'm not sure how that'll affect the aftermarket. Today, I would say Tower Bridge since due to its price, it seems that only hard-core collectors are purchasing it. I would love to purchase it but it really doesn't fit into my LEGO collection and if I did, it would be strictly as an investment.
  9. I've only seen the movies so my love of LotR stems from that.
  10. Normally my garage is organized really well where my wife doesn't notice when new sets show up. The only reason why sets were laying around in the garage was because I've been liquidating some sets to make room for LotR this summer. There's no way I can have the inventory I have now and make LotR purchases also.
  11. I like the idea of a TCW Battle of Kamino play set. LEGO can introduce Aqua Droids, Trident Drills (that can deploy Aqua Droids) a Clones Barracks and/or Armory, some Clone Cadets, re-release Shaak-Ti.
  12. I just stopped telling my wife whenever I buy LEGO. It's easier that way. She has an idea of how much LEGO sets cost since she's taken my kids shopping before and she's bought LEGO for our nieces and nephews. A few weeks ago, she was locked out of the house. She went on a weekend trip with some friends and didn't bring her house keys. I was running late from work and since she couldn't get in the house, she went into the garage to look around. When I arrived home, here's how the converstation went: Me: Hi, how was your trip? Sorry you had to wait for me to get home. Wife: Why are there so many LEGO sets in the garage? Me: There aren't that many in there. Wife: I counted 30 and stopped. Those were big boxes too. Me: I bought them all on sale. They're all future gifts. She didn't say anything else but gave me the "Yeah right" look.
  13. Both appear to be a little off. I prefer the look of the one on the right. It doesn't look as cartoonish.
  14. In their defense, it was said that their King ruled with an iron fist. Maybe he didn't believe anyone would have the audacity to double cross him. Either way I knew Asajj was going to double cross them and I knew she was going to Boba in his place at some point.
  15. I think a lot of people outside the USA fail to realize just how big our country is. I have to travel approximately 2 hours to get to the closest LEGO store and I consider myself extremely fortunate.
  16. Fairview Mall, Toronto, Ontario Sherway Gardens, Toronto, Ontario Chinook Centre, Calgary, Alberta COMING SOON, Oak Ridge Mall, Vancouver, Bristish Columbia
  17. I wonder if it has anything to do with LEGO trying to fix some of the errors noticed in "AlexScammer's" review. They are minor, but noticeable.
  18. Just watched John Carter. I went into it without any expectations as I knew nothing about the movie other than what I'd seen in the trailers on T.V. Year after year I wonder how Disney can stay relevant. In recent years they milked Toy Story dry and after Prince of Persia bombed, I was left thinking about what original story they could possibly do. Surprise, surprise, Disney has made another original movie that's pretty flipping awesome. I really enjoyed the storyline, characters and special effects. To top it off, my kids, as well as my friends' kids loved it. Which leads me to another thing. While watching the movie and thinking of how awesome the special effects were, I wondered where would movies and special effects be today without people like George Lucas to push the envelope. Things have come a long way in my lifetime. I can't wait to see what's next.
  19. If there can be Jedi "Knights" in a galaxy far far away, I don't see why there couldn't be "Ninjas" in that same galaxy. I'm pleasantly surprised that a Star Wars The Clone Wars episode without any Jedi or Clones has become one of my favorite episodes in 4 seasons. I'm really curious as to what will happen with Asajj Ventress. She has no allegiance to any side and fights for only herself.
  20. Honestly I'm completely focused on the LEGO LotR sets that are coming out this summer. I can't wait to have these sets in hand, build them with my kids and admire them. If LEGO makes a Sauron figure, I hope they make it taller just to be accurate. He needs to be able to tower over the other minfigures.
  21. I was really surprised when I noticed that TRU only had this set marked up $5.00 over MSRP, considering it's an exclusive and all. Then they raised the price of this set from $44.99 to $49.99 just in the past week. Now that's more like TRU. USA S@H shows it becoming available in the next 30 days.
  22. @commanderneyo - Thanks for the links. The next episodes are looking pretty good.
  23. Being a fan of the LEGO Batman franchise, I would say go with 6864 The Batmobile and Two-Face Chase. The set comes with awesome minifigures and has a higher piece count. You can't go wrong.
  24. It's still available through S@H. Plus you get the double VIP Points. Fire Brigade
  25. Great job! I would totally buy a set like this to go with my Kingdoms sets. Could you post photos of your Drawbridge Defense alongside other Kingdoms sets? Just so I can soak everything in?
