  1. That is a cool looking clock! It almost looks like the one I have downstairs :D
  2. Picked up today 9497 Just finished building it and I"m as happy as a clam
  3. After trying to get a good deal on an XWing I ended up picking up this set for about $15. Upon building it, I came to the conclusion that from all of the star wars sets I have built so far (in the small fighter category) this is the most "realistic" one. I have built Anakin's Jedi Interceptor as well as the Imperial V-wing Starfighter. I was surprised with the attention to detail in the Striker as well as the fact that all of the pieces in it were printed rather than stickered. Also they did right by me: the cabin has no leaks from the bottom or from of the cockpit like the other two sets do (my pet peeve). There are couple tiny things I will want to change but overall this is my favourite starfighter (so far) Why can't more sets be like that????
  4. I know... I wish I had yellow wheels for the smaller tires..... I did consider painting them ;)
  5. Thanks :) Wasn't necessarily going for cute but was trying to make it "deployable" from a troop transport and was trying to keep it all 4 studs wide :) That unfortunately imposed on the build some limitations ;)
  6. I have the 7050 Alien Defender but it seems to me a bit on the big side.... so here's an attempt at a smaller rig that could be used as a fast land scout.
  7. Cool!!! The brick built one looks sweet :)
  8. Looks pretty cool!!! Would love to see a pic of the brick built one as well.
  9. Wow, this is pretty cool! Any plans to add a small landing bay at any time?
  10. Here's a slight update. Test bombs got changed out for real payload (hence the color change). Additionally design engineers found a location for ion cannons. During initial flight tests it was discovered that the wings were too flexible during atmosphere operations and were reinforced. Also a second pair of miniguns was added bringing up the total to 4 (2 per wingtip) Lastly here's the top view: you can see teh ion cannons a little bit more clearly.
  11. While the bombs replacement is easier (got some other colors I can play with) the engine is harder because that's the only color piece that I have (unless I dissasemble my mine :) ) You mean the top and the engine? If so, I think maybe I should call the craft chameleon as it's actually dark grey and it looks that the background that I took the pictures on made it change color :) While I haven't had anything specific in mind when I started I can now see some similarities as well :) My only goal in the beginning was to: 1. Use the front opening cockpit 2. Use the orange engine piece and the rest... came out on its own
  12. Trying to expand the manufacturing from only fighters the Ludzik Spaceyard has contracted with engineers to design and build a heavy bomber. This is a prototype that was released. Powered by an oversized engine the bomber is capable of high speeds but is lacking on maneuverability. Also it's defense armament at the moment is somewhat lacking as it's only equipped with 2 pulse cannons. It is capable though of carrying heavy payloads: two bombs or two anti-capital ship missiles. The engineers are not 100% satisfied with their design and are looking to improve it.
  13. Those are pretty cool!! I like the various turret armament options :)
  14. Thanks!!!!
  15. This is a pretty cool ship! Very realistic.
  16. So every time I try to design a bigger spaceship, somehow a small one comes out ;) In any case, this is the next one in the series. This particular one is a small ADU Scout spaceship. It's equipped with 4 pulse cannons (one between the wing and the body and one under the wing on each side) and 2 mini cannons (one on the tip of each wing). It's designed to be fast and nimble and is powered by twin engines.
  17. From what I hear (and partially see in the stores now) bigger pieces that would have made it to the grab bags end up on the "play table" and the smaller parts are supposed to be shipped back internally :( This is really sad because grab bags for me were a great source of building material. I got plenty of car bottom pieces, cockpits, some minifigs (those were never supposed to be in grab bags, but through the years I got probably close to 200 minifigs), rollup doors and tracks, plenty various doors and windows, general building blocks, wheel wells, wing pieces (the angled plates) and part of a dinosaur ;)
  18. Issue I see with that is that it'd be obstructing the engine intake flow.....
  19. Thanks all! The design criteria that limited the wing span were the main driving force behind the small size is that it's meant to go into a small hangar bay and be able to rotate inside for quick launch.
  20. Rarog is a light attack fighter designed for space and atmosphere operations. It is armed with two front mounted beam cannons and two side (under wing) mounted rotating miniguns which are very useful in air to ground (anti personnel) operations. Rarog relies on twin engine design for speed and maneuverability.
  21. I miss the old space sets... even though they had simple bricks (to a degree) they had the coolest cockpits :) I like how this one can cover the whole bridge area :)

    MOC - LL-978

Pretty cool!!! Almost looks like a butterfly from the top :)

    This is pretty cool!!!
  24. Really cool!!!
  25. Here's a small scout. It's armed with two pulse cannons up front and two beam cannons on the sides (1 per engine/wing). It's a mainly used in space with limited atmosphere capability as due to lack of wings in the atmosphere it has to rely on high thrust to be able to stay aloft. It looks like the rear came out a bit blurred.... must have been taken when it was taking off ;)
