So, some photos attached make this obvious - it's based on the WrightBus New Bus for London. It's currently on the Lego Idea's site at https://ideas.lego.com/projects/154570/ - I'd be grateful of support to get this to the next stages. Comments and thoughts always appreciated, too :) Key features: Opening front and centre doors An open rear platform for minifigs to jump on and off A removable roof to access the top deck to place minifigs inside A removable portion top deck to allow access to the bottom deck Blank destination panels for customisation within the end pack Two staircases for top deck access "Push Bell" and grab poles on the lower deck for minifigs to stop the bus https://flic.kr/s/aHskEj6J68 has some images: NBFL-01-2000px NBFL-02-2000px NBFL-03-2000px[/url NBFL-04-2000px NBFL-05-2000px NBFL-06-2000px NBFL-07-2000px NBFL-08-2000px NBFL-09-2000px NBFL-10-2000px NBFL-12-2000px NBFL-13-2000px NBFL-14-2000px NBFL-15-2000px NBFL-16-2000px

Very nice work :-)

Thanks :-) The buses are mainly to amuse the small people, although the little midi-bus is going to be going on Ideas at some point.

Given that I have small children, I had to think carefully about using the Lego, as they want to play. I'm not going to stop them, as that's futile. So, my purchase several years ago of an Ikea "Lack" table and some base boards, they've played happily with the Lego table in its various guises. We're on what we call Version2 of the table - a car showroom, an office, three flats and a cafe/takeaway live on the table at the moment: All the buildings are built out of my own mind, so are usually boxes with a design inside. We're working on the next stage of the flat on the top of the car dealership, which is going to be considered carefully. Next up... a bus stop. I built an Interdecker coach and a midi bus (based on an Optare Solo). You might remember the midi-bus from this topic last week. The two vehicles have a large contrast in size, so they do have their own applications. Each has seats within for the passengers, although I worry that the roof on the coach is too low. That said, we've not got enough windows for anything bigger right now. The bus stop itself is very simple and is somewhere for people to flag down a bus. I need to put in a bus stop flag and ticket ATM next... There is a young bus spotter taking a photo there... good to see him keeping warm. More to come, comments and suggestions welcomed.

I think this is akin to the Architect range and is brilliant. Nice work.

Eninem did a song called "Slim Shady" - amusingly I went to a 90s night yesterday and they played half of it before the DJ got fed up and put on something else... Hello - thanks for the welcome :-)

Hello I'm not exactly new here but a small break from here more over to give me some focus on other things. Just returning... hi!

To give some background, I created a coach for my children to play with. Fairly basic, I'll give it that - some pictures are on my Flickr. Then I got a bit thoughtful whilst I was working on a project paper... and ended up coming up with this. The Prototype can be found by clicking on here - it gives you an idea of what inspired me. My vehicle is a 6-stud wide bus, with a 4-wide swing out door. Ideas to make it swing and side inside would be welcomed. The bus seats 4 and a wheelchair user (I could look at doing some flip down seats) as well as the driver. Some improvements to be made (given the lacking small bricks) - considering it took about 6 hours start to finish, thoughts appreciated. Doink

I like it - I think it gives a good 'start point' to add to it with other bricks and extend it to become part of your own town. I haven't got the bike shop yet but I think I will... likewise I'd consider this, too.

Thanks RangerDog - it was just something I knocked up a few weeks ago but needed the boot/trunk adding for the luggage.

Well, a few days and the children having given their thoughts on improvement (tough critics, I can tell you). First, some over-head shots of the chip shop and car show room with the sales office. Notice how the office has had a little refit to meet the demands of other people... I'll sort some more internal shots out in the next few days. I'm also planning on re-fitting the kiosk as well. The chip shop takeaway has had the front re-fitted to meet the styles etc: And a little integration inside, too: There have been some comments about a lack of pizza oven - we'll see what comes up over the next few days, too. Next: SUV We've got several sports cars on this table but we also have a home-grown SUV The reason for the opening rear end was that the children liked the suitcases but didn't have an easy way to load them into a vehicle. I'll post more in the next few days as I adjust the kiosk and showroom to meet the needs of the little street. Comments and thoughts, as ever, welcome.

- this is the over-the-top view.

I've been building on the children's table... because they told me to. Honest. Not that it took much encouragement.... So - some photos: This is it - its on an Ikea table measuring 550mm x 550mm. It's a street with car showroom and take away food 'chip shop'. There is also a little kiosk and an alley to the rear of the showroom. An interior shot of the Kiosk, it needs some more 'life' and design to it, really. I've put a little magazine rack in but... well, it will be next on the list of things to consider. Here we have the two guys who do deliveries and breakdown cover for the show room, next to the truck. The truck is stock standard at the moment but it could all change in the future. This is the showroom - the office is separate from the rest of the showroom - there is a curved desk for the sales guy though with his PC and mug of tea... not sure where he is, probably on a test drive somewhere! Ahh - there he is in the front of this shot of the street. The on-street chip shop, as it were. Back to the showroom, because this is the order in which they uploaded... Now, to the chippy... I welcome thoughts and comments - updated on the 10/9/14 to include the over-head shot. Doink

Nice layout - I like how the park gives light into the rest of the town - brilliant work there.
-
I have been at it again - the children asked me to create something that resembles us but cooler... as if that would be possible! Anyway, here are some images... thoughts and comments as ever are welcomed. Home sweet home Back garden and the family Kitchen with some pizza - yum! Attic bedroom Dad with the tablet and the dog...

I built a very simple two car multiple unit recently - it was fairly easy to do, the front being a basic design but it looked effective. I'd say doing it as a self build is very worth it. Plus you can always show it off and inspire others!

One observation: The train set 60051 has a symbol for bikes on the central carriage, but not a wheelchair to indicate for passenger with limited mobility. I can't help but feel that TLG are missing a trick here... I like the look of the station though - very pretty and a nice intermediate station that could also integrate well in becoming a terminus with more than one set...

Thank you :-) It can be subjected to little people pulling it off to place little-er people inside, but I figure that was part of the fun. I have had a think about this though and I will sort out my bricks this week so that I can further refine this. The sliding doors will also have to be reinvestigated though - they work well but can come out at the first bash when going too fast (a risk of the Modern Dynamic Railway). Suggestions are always welcomed and appreciated.
