Help choosing a brain attack figure
MakutaDreadscythe replied to Xan326's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Either Surge or Frost Beast I'd say. -

Still, at least most of them are out soon, so then I can test my super-specific-Surge-only-zipline-back-pack-that-only-works-for-50cm. Oh, and pose Pyrox with his best friend the ski-free yeti (they're like flatmates. One cooks, the other substitutes as a freezer, it saves them quite a lot on the energy bills.)

Tesco have the new sets before the LEGO Shop...I didn't see that coming. Still, it's a start. EDIT: Smyths seems to have these in stock too. http://www.smythstoys.com/Search4/Shop_Product_Search.aspx?Profile=Sterling&query=hero+factory

Two months and five days! Why?
-
On a side note, I'm surprised you skimmed over the white paw piece recolour. It looks quite nice.

I'm not sure what hurts more, the fact that I'm missing out on a decent promotion or the fact that the Americans are at least two months ahead of us. Oh well, break out the tea and biscuits. I can wait (I'm being delusional, someone help me please!)
-
I've been meaning to ask about that, any luck with the dates?
-
I would, and that's a good idea. I haven't really got a local lego store though, the one that was closest was the Bullring, and that's kinda disappeared. On a side note, I've noticed they've been updating the site with new items like the Chima Croc Swamp Hideout, so I wouldn't despair just yet.

Definitely picking this guy up. I love the comparisons to Stormer and Pyrox. Speaking of which. (Sorry about the constant editing, having trouble posting with this computer)

My thoughts exactly. They couldn't have held off the promo for a few days?
-
Much appreciated. Thanks.
-
Not really worth it by then though. I can get the sword from Worriz and the brain, while cool, is impractical due to lack of functionality.
-
Well, yeah, but I don't like rebuys, especially when the first wave is so "meh" compared to the second wave.
-
Well, the promo's live in the UK, but still no new sets, making this the most counterproductive promotion yet in the UK. :|
-
Quick question, does anyone know when these will be released in the UK? On lego S@H anyway, hopefully in time for that promotion.
-
I'm gonna have to say I'm conflicted on this one. The price is somewhat off-putting, especially for a jetpack that doesn't have universal support for the figures this wave, only really fitting with the Rocka included in the set (I mean, just look at Evo in the jetpack. Super awkward!). A second Rocka seems quite unnecessary as well, though my lack of caring for the pilot does allow me free reign to use him as parts for a more unique character. The jetpack itself does look cool, and I like the functionality more than Speeda Demon. I do wish it could stand on it's own though, rather than being dependant on the pilot. The fact that there is no specific villain to fight also disappoints me. Yeah, I've seen the show, I know he fights Dragon Bolt, but still, another villain specifically for Jet Rocka to fight would give the set more purpose. As it stands the set seems rather pointless in the scope of things, though knowing me I'll eventually pick it up anyway.

I don't like the way they look. They look kinda like weird-megablocks jelly sweets.
-
@ZORK64 You have no idea how jealous I am right now. Please, by the power of the UK, may they show up in Argos. At least Surge and Frost Beast, because I like flying things and having the yeti from SkiFree on my desk.
-
B-b-b-but Vapour's blue! Yellow is overrated! Not to mention, four arms? Yeah, we've only had that like, every year. I dunno, they could always tag-team, along with Jetbug and Thornraxx to form the League of S.U.V. (Severely Underrated Villains).
-
True, he always did have a habit of overlooking things, hence why he forgot to carry the bus fare to go to the Red Star. It's either Vapour or someone who absolutely loathes public transport, considering on the Brain Attack game that's how most of the baddies die, serving a lesson to kids to always look both ways before falling into a chasm to be run over by bullet trains whilst simultaneously being a nuisance to our "mysterious" villain by wasting his/her/it's time.
-
...So...the Hero Factory universe is the Red Star?
-
I predict the main villain is a blast from the past, Vapour, who in a fit of rage after realising he was a second-rate villain with no storyline significance went to university to study...something...then he made the brains in hopes that it would affect kids buying the toys and persuade them to buy horrible store exclusives with no new parts. Oh, and destroy the Hero Factory, but that's 2nd on the agenda, followed by a Big Tasty (yes, Vapour has a digestive tract, he's advanced like that).
-
I almost get a Megazord vibe out of this. I'm not sure how to feel about that.
-
Ummm...I'm a little lost. What's this about a new villain?
