  1. Well, he's trying to make more, but that's capitalism, don't blame him for that at all, I would do the same thing. I will let it go, may send him an email saying I would have appreciated asking permission, but I'm not going to waste a bunch of my time on this, just was interested if there was precedent on this with any of you on here. EDIT: I should have also added that he is using my exact listing too, word for word.
  2. I have no idea if he changed the lot that I sold him or not, just that he's using the pictures that I used when I had it up on ebay and he purchased it. He could very well have cherry picked a bunch of pieces and then tried to resell, I don't care about that, I just kind of wish he would have taken his own pictures and used those.
  3. I was trolling ebay today and found some pictures that were taken by me, only they were for another auction. A lot of Lego that I had sold was being sold by the person I sold them to using my pictures, not their own. It's not like they show anything incriminating or anything, just of gave me the wrong feeling that someone copied/pasted my pictures to use for their auction. Should I say something to the seller? ebay? Just not worry about it? Let me know if this has happened to you and if taking action is even necessary. Thanks for any input.
  4. "I had to reassemble all of my star wars sets for their kids" SUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEE, blame the army building on the kids, you just wanted to have an epic battle for yourself.
  5. I was lucky enough to pick up the very last Lloyd ZX on Friday at my local TRU, for $12.99 of course. I went earlier in the week and they were sold out, told me to come back friday. Sure enough, went back and they only had one left, amazing. They were running a deal where if you spent $20 on Lego you got the little Frodo kitchen set for free, so I picked up another small Ninjago set too to get the freebie. I am not a big Ninjago collector, but my son has been harping about the green ninja for months and I knew I had to pick this one up for Christmas, or just a small present for being good.
  6. To be honest, I don't want an Ewok Village unless they put some innovation into it. If we get some cheap 200-300 piece village like a glamorized battle pack, I will be really disappointed that they dropped the ball that badly. A true village should be nothing less than the $89.99 price point.

  8. 1. George G - 2 10. CarsonBrick - 1 12. Moctown - 2
  9. Done. Are you giving this out randomly also? Just sending this to people that you know are Lego/Star Wars addicts will definitely skew your results, unless your demographic is toward known Lego/Star Wars fans and want just their feelings on the products.
  10. As others have said, excellent review, but I also will be passing on this set, just doesn't do it for me. Especially at $70. I will definitely be picking up the Amidala fig however. The Skiff, Palace, and Rancor will be getting my money this year, possibly Palpatine's Arrest depending on what it looks like in person.
  11. I just signed up for this and catalogued my sets and my Star Wars comes out to $3800 of the approx. $8000 total. Very nice tool because you can select whether the sets are new/used and what you paid for them to see value fluxuations. Brickpicker - Any idea if there will be a tool to not only catalog minifigs, but to have values to them? I have catalogued them, but there are no values. I know this would be near impossible across all themes, but I would think for popular themes such as SW there would be adequate market populations to draw from.
  12. I originally ordered the light bluish grey with black handle just to complete the MF, but have been slowly incorporating in the correct ones because I want my MF to be correct. I won't pay a couple bucks for one, but when I buy lots or something like that, if I find some light bley handles I throw them on the MF and have replaced probably half of them so far pretty cheaply. Yes, I ordered the crazy expensive parts because I wanted it to be right. I tried to order new on parts that I knew got beat up easy and used on parts, like bricks, that SHOULD stand the test of time because they are easily removed from other bricks. Plates I generally went new. Some parts the difference from new and used is only a couple pennies, so might as well get the shiny new part was my thinking. Since I knew I was getting nailed on the instructions, stickers, and radar dish, I wasn't too worried about a couple cents on new vs. used.
  13. I'm not a big superheroes fan of any kind, like them, don't really get into them. But this stuff looks really cool. The original Arkham is really cool, hopefully the new one is just as good, but I have been a little disappointed with the new Batman sets vs. the originals. This also isn't helping my anticipation of the new movie either.
  14. Picked up a 10212 Imperial Shuttle from Lego.com today, guy on the phone said the warehouse was showing 25 left in stock. If you want one, they are running out. Also had to use up some ebay dollars and picked up a Captain Panaka and New Darth Maul upon request from my son. Not sure if the Shuttle will get built or stored away, everyone says it's a really fun build, but I don't think my wife wants anymore models on display. Not Star Wars, but my order also included a Tower Bridge and Lord of the Rings complete collection. My son is a little young for LotR right now, but maybe down the road he will get into it.
  15. Is there any chance with this being named "Helicopter Rescue" and not being named "Hospital", that there will be an actual hospital at some time? It is probably just semantics, but I have to keep my hopes up somehow, because this is not acceptable.
  16. I just sold an Aang on ebay for over $15, so you did just fine. I got mine at a garage sale too!
  17. When Lego.com takes a UCS set off like the Imperial Shuttle, do they put it at a sale price first, or just drop it without notice? I would like to get one, but if it's going to go on sale here in the near future, i'll wait, but don't want to outright miss it either. Thanks.
  18. A rider is when specific items are added to your homeowner's policy. My wife has her wedding ring set added to ours as a rider. When I collected baseball cards, I had a rider for that also, as the collection was around $20k. It's very simple, you get the stuff appraised, and send it to the insurance company, and it is added to the policy at a small premium. I currently don't have anything for the Legos, never thought about it, but they are probably getting to the point of being some of the most pricey items in the house as a whole.
  19. What site would most of you suggest for inventory of Lego sets, Brickset? Are there others? I have a spreadsheet of sets we have and what I paid for them, but nothing really organized that shows their actual worth.
  20. Even though I think a 5 movie would be a piece of crap, I would love one to come out just to give us a new wave. How they never made the grail temple is beyond me. It could be just like Temple Escape from ROTLA with all the tests he has to go through to get to the grail. A Pangkot(sp?) Palace set would be cool too.
  21. Latest finds this weekend included all of the following for $10 3828 Avatar Air Temple 4701,4711,4726,4727,4731 Harry Potter sets 6429 Fire Boat Darth Vader Transformation Anakin Fighter/Vulture Droid set Tie Fighter All included minifigs. I have to be honest, I had no idea what the Avatar stuff was, had to find it on Bricklink, turns out they are fairly collectable. I was in a meeting and my wife picked it up, I was impressed when I got home.
  22. Excellent work jFox. We finished up ours last night as well, I had a hell of a time getting all the hallway-to-cockpit area to fit together, but otherwise, all went well. I am with you that it would be nice if the big ceiling pieces "clicked" in, but it is amazing no matter what. Unfortunately, it turned out I was a few pieces short here and there, so I have another blasted bricklink order to finish this thing up. Thanks for the inspiration.
  23. jFox - You're a little ways ahead of me. We got the last of our parts last week and started the project Friday, as of now I'm working on the top and bottom gun turrets. Trust me, my wife is in utter disbelief about what we're taking on, but it's been fun to work on with my young one, even though he's still too young to do a lot of the steps, he helps me where he can. So even though that has definitely slowed the process, it has made it much more fun. I have no idea where it's going to go when it's done to keep it safe, as I have a very curious 2 year old that loves to destroy everything lego. Good luck on your project.
  24. One more Lego order for $50, plus all the small bricklink orders today equaling $200(including $60 dish), plus the one big Bricklink order for instructions, sticker, boat rigging pieces for $375, and I've got about $1200 into this project. A lot more than I wanted to spend, didn't really save much money, but the set is 90% new as is, instructions are new also, and got to have the fun of the search. At the end, had to find a lot of stores that had 1 or 2 items, that hurts. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration, my wife my have to stay upstairs for a while, there will be no understanding on her end on this one.
  25. Are the roll pins with the little gap a permissable substitute as far as lego is concerned? Like did they send both out? I am having a heck of a time getting those.
