  2. we do not ask, so he won't have to take the risk of giving us info that may get him into trouble... ;-)

  4. you should know by now that we do have a few people here on our boards who are very reliable in this matter... Legomilk is one of them... ;-)

  8. still, 201 won't be the final price... best guess, any one? considering upcoming festivities, i'd say 400 or so...
  9. they release spaceport in 1995. they had this astronaut in a buggy. maybe that's what you have in mind... i guess the helmet's different, that's all
  10. yeah... so this guy offered 100 euro... but then what happened? why did he then offer 120, 150,...? was that the automated system or was it just this guy being incredibly stupid? i'd like that set as well, but i guess there are lots of sets i can buy for a lot less...
  11. nono it's space port. the guy even has a space port logo on his torso. it wouldn't be the first time that these online databases turn out to be wrong... |-/ but it is from 1999
  12. go to the 'fire station', click on '360 spin', click on the fourth tumbnail, the one with the large truck. the grey plate behind the yellow seat... that's new 8-
  13. well i occasionally open an older box and you can easily find mistakes on boxes and instruction books as well. you can see a few of those in the review of the 'USS Constellation' that i did a while back. The notion that Lego was so much better in the past compared to these days is a myth. The old boxes, for instance, may be more attractive but they are so terribly fragile, easy to damage... Current boxes are a lot better in quality. Besides, high quality has its price. I f you want to go back to the old quality/style, add another 30% - 50% to the current prices.
  14. 8-
  15. :-X :-X :-X don't... say... things... like... that... :-X :-X :-P
  16. i wonder if these prices have reached their peak by now... :-| , generally speaking, I mean. it's my impression that the hype of classic space sets is gone, but castle sets still seem to do very well...
  17. don't you people read? a space theme has been confirmed by ambassadors...
  18. not again... :-| we ARE sure that we'll get a 'Life on mars' kinda theme... nope, we don't really know yet what that means :-X

  22. the house is pretty nice :-$
  23. Aredhel demonstrated this technique to us at the Windsor event as well... it seems she builds like that on a regular basis...
  24. yeah, that was more or less what i had in mind with this thread: turning it into an "eat your heart out" kinda topic: a collection of some potentionally insane auctions... Sure, i'll never participate to one of those, but it's just really fun to see how people respond to these bids... :-P ps: we should pin it as well
