  1. Arthur stalwartly raises his shield, hoping against hope that a mysterious blacked-out figure would swoop in and kill Lupine with their Night Action and wondering if this accursed night would ever end.
  2. OOC: I guess our plan isn't clear enough? Battle Order and Actions (Round 2): Lind drinks a Potion (Back Row) Alexandre drinks a Grand Potion (Front Row) Thormanil drinks a Grand Potion (Front Row) Hoke casts Frailty (Front Row) Guts drinks Grand Potion (Instant Items) Guts attacks Lupine (Front Row) Arthur attacks Lupine (melee, Front Row) All attacks: if Special Damage has already been rolled, use a healing item instead. Next Round: IF no one is in danger of a KO: BO and actions (Round 3): Hoke casts Frailty on Lupine (Front Row) Guts attacks Lupine (Front Row) Thormanil attacks Lupine (Front Row) Arthur attacks Lupine (Front Row) Alexandre attacks Lupine (Front Row) Lind attacks Lupine (Back Row) IF Hoke successfully Frails Lupine in Round 2 and is not in danger of a KO, he is moved to directly below Guts in the Battle Order and casts Ice at Lupine from the Front Row. IF anyone is in danger of being KO'd at the beginning of Round 3, move them to the top of the Battle Order and have them use a healing item. IF Special Damage is rolled in Round 3, all remaining attackers' actions change to use a healing item on themselves; if they do not have a healing item to use, they do nothing. IF Lind is in danger of KO, Guts will use Instant Items to use a Grand Potion on him, BEFORE Guts' attack (if any). Round 4: IF no one is in danger of a KO: BO and actions (Round 4): Hoke casts Frailty on Lupine (Front Row) Guts attacks Lupine (Front Row) Thormanil attacks Lupine (Front Row) Arthur attacks Lupine (Front Row) Alexandre attacks Lupine (Front Row) Lind attacks Lupine (Back Row) IF Hoke successfully Frails Lupine in Round 2 or 3 and is not in danger of a KO, he is moved to directly below Guts in the Battle Order and casts Ice at Lupine from the Front Row. OOC: To explain the strategy: IF people are injured and in danger of KO, they use a healing item (Potion, Grand Potion, etc.) instead of attacking. If they start off the Round already in danger of a KO, they get moved to the top of the Battle Order and use a healing item instead of attacking. After everyone is healed, Hoke casts Frailty (since that can't trigger a Special Damage), and then everyone remaining attacks; this gives the best possible window for dealing damage to Lupine. Do note that this only goes on as long as Lupine is still Blind and his passive Special has not triggered; thus, only up to three more Rounds need to be rolled under this plan. We'll re-strategize when we know what Lupine's new stats are.
  3. The important question, of course, is whether or not she drops that awesome staff she was working on over the entire course of CAT. Also, Zeph, I'll leave you my thoughts on 107 once the side-quests get posted, since as it stands I'm missing like half the Quest.
  4. Revised Autoroll Battle Order: Anyone in danger of KO, in order of least health remaining to most (drinks Potion or Grand Potion depending on severity of injury) Hoke Guts Thormanil Alexandre Arthur Lind
  5. What the--? Wikia has apparently completely changed their editor interface since the last time I did more than read pages. I can't seem to find a way to alter this--I might try enabling the experimental visual editor, just to see if it's any better. EDIT: On further investigation, the weird editor only seems to show up for users who are not logged in. I'm not sure what to make of it--it's a very confusing interface, and likely very discouraging to new users. If you tried editing the wiki but ended up with a very unhelpful interface, try logging in--the editor for logged-in users is MUCH more user-friendly.
  6. Current Sign-ups for the Fields of Glory: Rufus, Level 1 Barbarian (the lego dwarf) The Demon Germ, Level 5 Rogue (samuraiturtle) Warlen Melimane & Quarion, Level 6 Mage (The Chosen Minifigure) Throlar Wineghilm, Level 12 Knight (Lord Duvors) Vindsval Half-Born, Level 5 Cleric (Asphalt)
  7. There were only five spots in the initial sketch, so I had to pick and choose. (What, you thought that was original? Insanity, since when have I NOT been ripping off of other stuff? ) Here's what inspired my passive-aggression ( ): ...and I should point out that that video itself is an animation of an earlier sketch by The Frantics.
  8. It's not worth re-applying them since he can't be Jinxed, so yes. We also stop if at any point he ceases to be Blind.
  9. I was recently sent the following in PM: ...which has now prompted this: Bonus points to those who not only know where that's from, but also know exactly which adaptation I used for my transcript.
  10. Any chance we could get some rounds rolled today?
  11. Probably once the Halloween Anthology sign-ups end (or at least are a bit closer to ending).
  12. You may also sign up for the Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory, since those sign-ups are currently open as well.
  13. It's SP:2, actually.
  14. I've been playing the demo quite a bit. Villager is one of the most powerful and versatile characters the series has seen. Mega Man, on the other hand, gets trashed pretty easily. The launch mechanics seem to be somewhat more forgiving than Brawl; getting hit by a hammer is no longer a guaranteed KO, and the same holds true for a number of moves and items. On the other hand, items are swingier than ever; the Home Run Bat in particular seems to have a greatly reduced windup, and unlike most sources of launch the force of exploding boxes and capsules has been DRAMATICALLY increased--if you accidentally blow up a capsule in your own face at 50% or above, you're pretty much gone. The speed feels like a happy medium between Melee and Brawl--it's not the impossible (for me, anyway ) that was Melee, but it's not the slow, delay - heavy Brawl, either. One thing's for sure, though--it's SUPER addictive.
  15. OOC: I believe we'd all like that. Because it's been asked in our group PM, will we get to keep our buffs after KS triggers, or will it be counted as a separate battle?
  16. Battle Order (and suggested actions): Hoke casts Frailty on Alfendi Lupine (Front Row) - Guts throws Fog Bomb (Instant Items) Guts attacks Alfendi Lupine (Front Row) - Guts drinks Grand Potion (only IF injured, Instant Items) Guts attacks Alfendi Lupine (Front Row) - Thormanil attacks Alfendi Lupine with Shishkebab (Double, Front Row) - Alexandre attacks Alfendi Lupine with Sword of the Elven Blademaster (Front Row) Arthur attacks Alfendi Lupine with Zoot's Rebel (melee, Front Row) - Lind attacks Alfendi Lupine with Frozen Saber (Back Row) - All attacks: if Special Damage has already been rolled, use a healing item instead.
  17. Yes. In fact, that's the exact example given in the FAQ. EDIT: My bad, your example was for weapons, the one I remembered was the one for multiple enemy types. You're still correct, though, elemental multipliers stack.
  18. The level bonus is incomparable, since Power, max HP, and max Ether scale automatically with Level; of the three stats, only Power is upgradeable via Gold. Actually, Grating Stones are becoming more common and less expensive in the current meta, likely due to the increase in high-WP weapons and in response to the complaints of too-common weapon drops; rather than drop a suitable weapon that's +1 or +2 WP from each player's current one (which by extension also allows the player to easily sell off the old one for gold), it's a lot easier to drop a Grating Stone or two amongst the loot--the players who care about Power will ask for the Grating Stones, and the other players get more gold for their own purposes. Sandy setting a 50 gold "Base Value" for the item in Q100 is probably one of the best things that has happened to the game economy; while they're obviously worth more than that to players with powerful weapons, it prevents the rampant inflation in their value from "Guts Syndrome". Now, instead of being worth 400+ gold on the player market but getting hoarded for Guts (because he could pay that much), they now range from around 70-170 gold, roughly speaking, and are more available to multiple players. TL;DR, Grating Stones are getting more common, and I welcome this change because reasons. Likely between 90-120 Gold, depending on who you sell to. Zoot's Cookies have a "base price" of 75 Gold (which I, personally, use as the base cost of a single point of permanent extra HP/Ether when I'm valuing things like Chicken Drumsticks and Raw Meat), so add a small "finder's fee" and up the price slightly due to it being usable for whichever stat you want and you end up with 90-120. That's...actually a really good point, didn't really consider that for healing classes. For mages, though, I still recommend HP, as that starting HP makes you surprisingly squishy even with a class like Skirmisher or Dragoon.
  19. Same way everyone does, through gold and Grating Stones. Only other things to spend it on anyway are Artifacts and consumables (the latter of which are very much a poor investment unless you have reliable methods of earning huge amounts of Gold, i.e. certain Advanced Class Rogues, Artisans, and Alchemists). Besides, like I said, gold is an infinite, renewable resource, requiring only time to stockpile; additional HP/Ether require not only time, but also a substantial amount of sheer luck. Besides, health is a far better investment than Power or Ether; that +1 Power or that extra spell does no good if you're lying unconscious on the floor.
  20. Vindsval could probably coax it up to 200 by playing up his ridiculous musculature and/or sexual availability, though. Fabian's a sucker for that. Question: why do people do this? Power is rather a silly stat to permanently increase; you can up it any time you want to by buying weapon upgrades. Yes, those cost money, but money is an infinite resource in this game, given enough time. It's far better to spend stat increases on HP or Ether, since there is no reliable way of increasing either.
  21. The Overcoat doesn't seem to have a type attached to it, I assume it's supposed to be Bodywear, KingoftheZempk?
  22. Pretzel should go on a Quest with Docken. Or Guts...
  23. I'm trying my damndest to go higher; once 103 and 106 end, I'll be sitting at a max of 31. If I somehow got double Shadeaux reputation, I'd be at 36 by the time 103 and 106 end, thanks to the cape. I'm telling you, the cape is freakin' awesome. It's karma.
