Quest 25 did that with Olinn, and it didn't really go that well, IMO. The most important quality in a Party Leader, in my opinion, is unfortunately a meta-game reason: activity. It's unfortunate, but a Party Leader needs to be one of the more active Heroes on the Quest, so they can make decisions and choose actions when other Heroes go inactive. If one Hero goes inactive, the QM and/or Party Leader can deal with it. If a Party Leader disappears, the party is suddenly left without a final, deciding vote on decisions, and, in battle, are left without a Battle Order. Until someone else takes the lead, the party is essentially paralyzed.

I really would like to see Haldor get the money he needs; it would be a great example of roleplaying honestly even when it hurts, one that would serve as an example for future players. Just my two cents.
