  1. Aaagh, I must have them! I, too am diasppointed that LEGO didn't expand this to be a worldwide thing. I mean, seriously, even if the Olympics aren't in your home country, you'd still want these guys. And why not have a few different coutries' worth of athletes to oppose the British team? The Olympics are about worldwide connections and cooperation, not just about sports; giving different regions a different Olympics CMF range would fit right in line with that goal by encouraging all kinds of global CMF trading, instead of the wave of exports only that will come out of this series.
  2. "Thank you, Luke." Arthur looks to Count Knyghton and sighs. "If only friendships could be healed so easily..."
  3. Count Knyghton nods in agreement. "It's hard ta believe tha' Clerics and Mages apparently use tha same Ether." He shakes his head sadly. "'Course, I've no patience for tha stuff myself, so fer all I know, it's not, heh heh." "For what I must do. Two roads lead into a darkened wood, and I know not which is darker." He glares at the back of Isabella's head. "But I think I know which one to take. As loathsome as it may be, I have to do it, or lose myself to darkness forever. I'm probably not strong enough for the task. But I have to try, for the sake of us all." OOC: Would it be in-character for Luke to heal Arthur at this point?
  4. You're just making it harder and harder to resist peeking! Especially since Skrall and Luke haven't responded to Knyghton and Arthur yet. I find it hilarious that our NPCs are talking to each others' PCs, instead of the PCs sticking together and the NPCs fading into the background. Can't say I'm disappointed in the roleplaying, though!
  5. Man, it's so weird seeing your name in that color! :-P

  6. Arthur resumes humming, and starts dragging his shovel through the dirt behind him, hoping to uncover something of interest along the long, quiet journey.
  7. "As did I, and I spoke to him BEFORE he became active. We Ithorians do not like to speak ill of those who are not present to defend themselves, but I feel compelled to say it is most discourteous of him to make us wait for so long." "In all honesty, I feel he deserves the penalty votes, he very much ought to have voted by now, since he woke up from his nap for a while. In this case, the penalty votes are a suitable punishment for his lack of consideration." "In fact, as I see it, the only fair reason he would have to get up and NOT vote, even if he could only stay awake for a few minutes, is if he is a Scum who wants to do more than 'just' vote, so as to appear to be helpful. While in most cases it is vital for us loyal Jedi to explain our votes and suspicions, when you are the last to vote (or even just close to the last to vote), a timely response is far more important than a detailed one. " "Oh, moons and stars, he's been awake TWICE since I left him that note, the second time for almost a full hour, he READ the note, and he STILL hasn't voted?!" "FoS: Plo Koon (TheBoyWonder). There is NO reason for your (lack of) actions, Master! "
  8. I've been wondering what I can do with those heads, I really wanted to use them (I have the old Barriss and now the new one), but hadn't come up with a race name/personality yet. I look forward to seeing wht you do with them!
  9. Paging Plo Koon! Paging Plo Koon! ;-)

  10. I can't speak to sticking to it per se, but I can say it is difficult to introduce to the character. Part of the reason I'm going a bit over-the-top with Arthur at times is because it's so difficult to find a middle ground. On the one hand, he does care about some people, he has relationships with other characters that are real, and I don't want to minimize those. At the same time, I don't want Arthur to be too heroic--yes, at first glance he may seem like a good person, but he's not necessarily so. Sometimes I worry that I'm making Arthur too likeable, too relatable, and at others I worry I'm going too far in the other direction and he just looks rediculous. My constant oscillating back and forth doesn't do much to boost my confidence in either aspect. Consistency is a real pain in the megablocks!
  11. That's something I dislike about that Ginny Weasley hairpiece in general, it makes any minifig look like Ginny Weasley. Even the boys! Also, I have no idea where to find the pieces for the legs at all. Help, please? Oh, and while I'm here: I know everyone I'm talking about probably knows this general rule about roleplaying by now, but: Count Knyghton's views are not my own. He just has a different perspective than most do.
  12. "Eyah, tha Clerics ain't so bad, I dinnae why tha troops take so poorly ta them--I mean, take a look at Luke. Tha Mages, on tha other hand..." "I mean, Arthur was a genius with tha powerful, destructive weapons back at Bric'bay, but looking back after all o' this, I'm startin' ta wonder...is destruction all that they're good for? Gods know tha other two were tha' way; tha Party Leader, Althior--Arthur's Master, now tha' I think abou' it--was a similar basket case, overly harsh one minute, an' a careless klutz tha next. An' don' even get me started on tha guy's butler spirit thingy. Biggest moron I ever know. If I didn't know any better, I'd call it the idiot tha gods built ta make Althior stupid. Tha other one, tha elven aeromancer, was a rampagin', bloodthirsty monster like his Brobric kin, 'e got himself drunk and started smitin' 'em like crazy firs' chance 'e got. If he were a Fire mage I'd call 'im a pyromaniac, I can't think o' the correspondin' term fer Wind an' Rain an' Lightnin'." Knyghton shakes his head sadly. "I really though' Arthur'd be diff'rent, but it's like tha magic gets in yer head or somethin' at a certain point, no matter who ya were before. I dinnae if tha' means we ought ta forgive 'em all fer their insanity, but at tha very least I feel sorry for 'em." Arthur sighs. "Have you ever thought something's wrong, been told something's wrong, and yet somehow you know with every fibre of your being that it's exactly what ya have to do?"
  13. "I dinnae for sure, although there was tha' moment in tha final battle..." "Let me explain. We were in tha middle o' fightin' off tha final wave o' tha Elven troops at Bric'Bay. There were three leaders: tha soldier Lord Davril--that's his sword Alexandre's carryin', tha Necromancer Lord Belril, and the saboteur Lord Leorry, the original owner o' Miss Isabella's wonderful Cloak. Now, soon as they showed up, Arthur seemed obsessed with gettin' his hands on that Necromancer's stafft-he pulled tha' Amethyst outta it, I think, and reshaped it ta be his own. Right after Belril went down, Davril locked on ta Arthur, and he sorta freaked out an' lost it. The next thing I know, he's runnin' away ta tha top o' tha tower, and Leorry's up there. I followed 'im up, but I was too slow ta really see wha' happened, I remember his spell tossed Leorry off tha tower, but everythin' else is all foggy. He seems ta have seen somethin' up there, after that he started yammerin' on abou' tha "Curse o' tha Emerald" or somethin'. Looked like he'd seen a ghost..." "I don't know wha' happened to 'im back at tha Hall, though, that's somethin' ya might want to ask 'im directly. I do know one thing, though: he's actin' more an' more like tha' Brobric Necromancer whose staff he carries and tha Elven Rogue he killed on top o' that tower. As illogical as his dislike o' Miss Isabella is, I'd support it, keep 'im away from her. Her Rogueish ways migh' be a bad influence on 'im."
  14. Have you taken a look at the Heroica RPG ruleset? It's rather robust, and, as long as you're in a setting that allows magic, it'd port just fine to tabletop gaming. Several of the Quests have also released different supplemental rulesets, like exploration, army battles, and the like; it's an infinitely expandable system that way.
  15. "Every time that I look in the mirror, all these lines on my face getting clearer... The past is gone...it went by like dusk to dawn. Isn't that the way? Everybody's got their dues in life to pay... Ohh, I know nobody knows where it comes and where it goes... I know everybody's sin: You've got to lose to know...how to win... Half of my life's in book-written pages... I've lived and learned from fools and from Sages... You know it's true... All those things...come back to you..." Count Knyghton notices that Arthur has dropped his telescope. Taking care to cut a wide berth around the disturbed mage, he brings it to Skrall. "Here, I think this migh' be useful."
  16. Random question/challenge time! Pick a song that describes your character, as they are right now. If the song describes your character in general, that's OK, but I'm more interested in a song that specifically describes your character's current thoughts and mood. NOTE: to avoid spamming up this topic, please post your answers to this challenge in the Eurobricks What Are You Listening To? topic. If there's any additional information about your choice, you can of course still talk about it here.
  17. Arthur makes sure to send most of the dirt from his digging in Isabella's direction. Seeing that there were no buried treasures to be found in this wasteland, he opens his now-useless journal and begins to write, more out of habit than anything. Dear De'kra, Are you still my friend? Would you still be my friend if you knew who I am? What I've done? I know you can't really read this. I don't even know if you'll ever see this. Even if somehow my magicks are no longer blocked, the damage could be too great for the spell to continue. Would you understand that, De'kra? Something being broken, beyond being fixed? This place drains my very soul, stripping away the masks I put up to hide from myself. I see my true self, and I am afraid. Because I like what I see. Farewell, De'kra. If we meet again, I may not be the same "hero" you once called "friend." --Arthur Arthur follows the rest of the party as they walk, mumbling a song. If anyone made the effort to get closer, they could probably hear the lyrics.
  18. Ditto. Why is it so hard for me to work up the courage to open this?!
  19. "Whoops, my bad. Though it would be nice if they could check in so we can move forward. " "Honestly, I'm kind of regretting bringing the investigation result forward so early in the Day. While it's great that we have such an easy lynch choice today, it seems to have completely killed the conversation, meaning that Scum are slipping past us in the silence. If we get another result tomorrow, should we bring it forth immediately, or do you think we should hold it back until voting starts, so we have time to discuss other suspects?"
  20. "According to the rules, Jedi Seosty and Master Koon have only 45 minutes to vote, or else they will gain penalty votes."
  21. OOC: Hey, Doc, I'm back, and I'm waiting for the results of my digging before I continue.
  22. Arthur looks at his shovel, then back at his Amethyst, then back at his Amethyst. He looks back over his shoulder at Skrall, sighs, and goes back to digging in silence. OOC: I'm off for the rest of the day, see you tomorrow!
  23. "Hee...ha...hoo...Master Moudama, please refrain from attempting to murder us all with laughter! "
  24. "It has occurred to me that summarizing who has voted so far and who still has to vote would be helpful, if not directly to us, then at least to our generous hosts." Unofficial vote tally: Hugar Ssiht (Badboytje88): 11 Votes - C-3PO (Brickdoctor), Ki-Adi Mundi (Dannylonglegs), R2-D2 (fhomess), Obi-Wan-Kenobi (palathadric), Luminara Unduli (Peanuts), Coryn Kelens (Tamamono), Ahsoka Tano (MacK), Ithra Syrryn (Macoco), Voolvif Monn (Jackjonespaw), Roron Corobb (Flipz), Aayla Secura (Darth_Nihilus) Still to vote (12): Hugar Ssiht (Badboytje88), Ili Seosty (Sisco), Foul Moudama (Kadabra), Euna Iladru (Jedi Master Brick), Barriss Offee (Scorpiox), Plo Koon (TheBoyWonder), Anakin Skywalker (Swils), Kit Fisto (ADHO15), Shaak Ti (Flare), Quinlan Vos (VolcanicPanik), Nahdar Vebb (Scubacarrot), Saesee Tiin (Zakura)
  25. "We do. " "Well, since Master Ssiht refuses to behave in the interests of us loyal Jedi, and cannot comprehend the notion that he can still win even if he's dead his cause can continue even beyond his death, I will Vote: Hugar Ssiht (Badboytje88)."
