  1. Oh, wait, I remember. Quest 20 Missing Minerals. The Journals between Arthur and De'kra.
  2. Wait, what?! Or do you mean Quest 30?
  3. "Ah, I have seen you around the Temple, Jedi Ssiht, and yet I find no record of you in the Archives. Perhaps the archives are incomplete? In any event, please do tell us all about yourself."
  4. "Who are you again? And what are you doing in the Temple? INTRUDER! GUARDS! " *Force Slam*
  5. *Must...resist...urge...to...HULK SMASH!!!* Yeah, the general hypocrisy of that sort of position really irritates me. If anything, nudity should be on the low end of the scale, not the top. (I know you're just being sarcastic, there, though. ) In any case, this isn't really the place to depate such things.
  6. "You're thinking of Star Trek If we do, I am unaware of such things. As Jedi, we all, of course, have studied the languages most common in the galaxy, and our mutual connection to the Force helps us sense each others' intended words when the meaning is unclear, but to my knowledge it is an expression of our skill and diligent study rather than our reliance on artificial technology."
  7. "If touch your ears she does, expel my lunch I will. Also, it appears I can speak Basic, so I will save my own language for Force Bellowing excessive cursing."
  8. "Leeeerooooooy...Jeeeeeeennnnnkiiiiiiiiinnnsss! Er, I mean, all troops, attack!"
  9. (I will attempt to figure out a way to put this into text. It should be possible. I think. )
  10. *bows respectfully* Yes, Master.
  11. I'm much the same way, though my specific tastes are a bit different; I really like Batman as a character, but the LEGO sets just don't appeal to me. On the flip side, I liked the Prince of Persia film well enough (it's no film "great", but it was above average), but I didn't buy many of the sets (though I'm regretting that now...). And to top it all off, I didn't watch ANY of the Avengers movies (and was apathetic about the movie itself)...until I saw the LEGO Sets, prompting me to watch all of the movies I could get my hands on AND to budget for most (if not all) of the Avengers sets. And, like you, I've been a Star Wars fan for years, but am burned out on set-buying.
  12. *Uses the Force to raise Anakin's hand.* Just kidding!
  13. Your perceptions serve you well, Master Fisto. I concur.
  14. Good morning, everyone. I have just emerged from a restful meditation, and yet I recieved no new insights from the Force. Has anyone recieved any visions of their role in the galaxy, or am I not the only one whose studious meditation has yet to yield a result?
  15. "I'd suggest movind Pikemen D Northwest, then she's physically surrounded. But, it's your call."
  16. Yeah, but "jack of all trades, master of none." A player CAN do all sorts of things that other classes can, but if QMs keep the loot balanced, they won't be able to do it as well as the classes designed for those tasks can, and pursuing a path diverts resources away from upgrading the strengths of the base class. Even as it stands, a Healing Staff is a major tactical choice; Clerics and their related classes automatically heal their full Power in Health (or more) when using Ether, whereas a Mage with a Healing Staff would have a substantially lower threshold unless they invested in upgrading the Healing Staff, which is a VERY strategic choice. As for gems, taking a turn to switch between gems completely breaks Mages. There are MANY situations in which taking a turn to switch would open the party up to a Free Hit. Since Mages rely on elements, they have to switch gems more often than other classes would switch weapons, and since they have low Health, they would either get eaten alive if they are at the top of the Battle Order or at the very least they'd be a constant hazard to the rest of the team. And as to the throwing weapon issue, "exempting" throwing weapons from the switching deal would be yet another Rogue advantage over other classes, while not exempting them would, as others have noted, make them completely useless. EDIT: I apologize if that came off too harsh, I didn't intend it to be.
  17. Exactly. And let's not even think about how badly it would break Mages--either they could use different gems freely, bypassing the whole weapon-switching system, or else they would be completely crippled by having to take a Turn to switch Gems. And as to Scubacarrot's point about the Healing Staff, ALL of Elphaba's gear would be broken aside from the Ether Core and the Nimbus Broomstick, since (I think) Scrolls count as a weapon rather than an Artifact.
  18. Remember, though, new Heroes will find it harder to purchase Smelling Salts, and it would discourage use of elemental weapons--players would buy a cheap elemental weapon to equip if and only if undead were expected to appear on the Quest, and beyond that they would stick with a basic, non-elemental weapon so as to be able to hit everything else. Like I said before, artifacts, yes (as the rules change indicates), weapons, no.
  19. Seconded. Personally, I want to see her on a Wren Quest, I think we all would agree that it would be flippin' awesome.
  20. Artifacts? Yes. Weapons? Not so much, it would make Rogues even more powerful (since they could just use a throwing weapon and automatically switch to their backup sword, unless they would be forced to spend a round unarmed before switching, which would be kinda unfair), and frankly it would make elemental matchups annoying (i.e. the party finishes off a Firey opponent with Aquamarine weapons and then has to wait around for a turn to switch weapons to fight an Aquatic opponent). Mages could bypass this with elemental gems, but that would be unfair compared to the other classes, so they would have to spend a turn switching gems, which would make them pretty much useless. Even from a logical, in-game perspective, artifact switching makes sense (i.e. it takes time to change armor or helmets or the like), but weapon switching does not (their holsters/scabbards/etc. are designed to allow them to be drawn quickly).
  21. You mean 2 shots per Round?
  22. Erm, that was the Ji Pei... I do like the way you've done it, but it still seams more Steampunk-esque than Fantasy-esque. But that's just my opinion.
  23. Since you already have a Lucky Die, guzzle Mead and Smelling Salts, Mead to increase your gold intake on a successful Shield, and Smelling Salts to give more opportunities per Round for a Shield.
  24. Nostrums would still be useful, but not Mead. This sort of makes sense, as Meads cater more to the "powerhouse" archetype classes like Barbarians and the like, but I do find it a bit weird. I mean, if you stock up on Nostrums, it makes it pointless to buy weapon upgrades, since those aren't taken into account for Shield rolls. Hmm... And of course, Smelling Salts are always useful, no matter who you are, so...
