Sandy, for Valentine's Day, in addition to the return of Etherial Letters, can we have Chesterine's Dating Service? Pretty please? Haldor's a total Shipper On Deck for Althior/Alexis, though I actually have a different target in mind for him...but I won't push it, since even though it (like most of my mental pairings) is a Crack Pairing, I think it could actually work out really well, and I don't want to taint that possibility. I think Boomers might actually do well with Tensi, for some strange reason. There's something really no-nonsense about her, and she definitely has an old soul...time will tell. *begins writing fanfic* And YES I want to see Nyx/XX! Not Arthur? IDK, something about those two seems like it might work, and since Cronk is a shoe-in for the last Wren Quest... Heh heh, the last Wren Quest is totally going to be this bizzare mix of mortal peril and relationship hijinks, isn't it?

Interesting...I'd agree with you there, though it seems like we're in the minority there; there seem to be a lot more fans of Tarn/Tensi and Tarn/Ellaria for some reason. Incidentally, I also ship Docken/Boomingham, but even I know that's a Crack Pairing. Cronk?

On a slightly off-topic note, Olivia's House was (for me) THE best way to get 1x6x5 wall panels in tan, along with a nice assortment of 1x1x5 and 1x2x5 tan wall panels. These parts are VERY useful for a variety of builds, so if you do decide to buy a Friends set, this is the one I'd recommend.

"Let's do this." Arthur moves forward into the cargo hold, ready for battle.
-
Glad to know I'm not the only Shipper On Deck here. I'm so crazy I've even figured out potential ships for my NPCs. Still think Erdy/Pretzel could work, BTW.
-
"Yes, I think that would be a wise plan. Think you might be able to give that cloak a shot on the spiders in the crates?"
-
"It could be worse. At least they're not Chaos Beasts." Arthur unsheathed his sword, before handing the Blunt Dagger to De'kra. "Now I think of it, this is better suited for you. Not that any of us'll need it, but if you need to use a throwing weapon for some reason, you've got a chance of it being an instant kill. Also, mind using your Cloak of the Elven Spy on this kid? If the joker's got something useful on him, I want him to give it to us BEFORE the fight." He turns to the man. "What's your name, lad? If you're too scared to fight, then you'd better use my telescope to watch. Heh, maybe you'll learn something along the way!"

Arthur doesn't know IC about any of the Proggs besides the Death Progg, though... Say, will The Regret retain his "medium" capabilities after death? I might have an idea for later... Also, something that came to my mind from a PM discussion about De'kra's class: Atramor should not use a Healing Staff. Ever. Seriously, it is a bad, bad, bad idea.

Arthur decides to let Thalion have the first word, and ask his own questions afterward.
-
...gosh, I wish Arthur could talk to The Regret now.
-
Most likely, yes. Also, here is a link to the post with the pic of the Bio Beast--actually, if you still have your Bionicle parts it'd be awesome to see a Bionicle interpretation. Arthur looks up in surprise. "Yes, indeed, B'rakk is a term we used for some of our ancient mechanical creations. No one really knows how to power them anymore, and according to my grandfather they look nothing like the real thing. He said they looked like bugs and could roll into spheres for quick travel and compact storage. There's even a suit of armor in the Museum that tried to copy some of those features, but like the B'rakk, no one knows how to use it anymore. The technology came from an ancient plague that once ravaged our people--Bio Beasts that were a fusion of infected humans, biomechanical machinery, and raw Chaotic power." Arthur's voice lowers as he confides in De'kra. "I, uh...when I was much, much younger, my friends and I accidentally summoned one...and years later, just before I was exiled, another one appeared." His visage was troubled. "I wonder if my people face a new plague now...no, surely not. Caroline AND Vaygas both left, and Vaygas is Captain of the Guard, he wouldn't have left if my land was in danger..."

Looks like The Regret isn't the only one communing with the spirit of Rhodus...

Don't tempt fate; look at Quest 50.
-
Sorry to hear that, Quest 40 has been one of my all-time favorites to read, I was looking forward to getting to see the story through. Ah, well. Can't be helped. At least Skrall and Atters are free to go on the last Wren Quest...next month. (Good grief, is it that close already? )

Hey, be thankful, if I hadn't been at the Hoover Dam at the time, he would have sang to all the Heroes at the end of the Battle of Drakencourt. I even talked to Zeph about having Vipera broadcast it to the rest of you. Remember that song from the end of 31?
-
"Indeed, if the full story of my past was known, I myself might find it difficult to get work. A gig with a crew like this would be my only shot..." "Speaking of which--I do have a job right now, and I'd best get back to it. We should definitely talk later, though." Arthur follows the rest of the party onward.

For everyone's enjoyment while I try and figure out what to say to Jules, here's Aveal's reaction by PM to roleplaying (quoted with permission):
-
Pie, it's a testament to your NPCs and your writing that joining the crew of the Magpie is seriously tempting for both Arthur and for me. If this were D&D, I'd have Arthur quit Heroica and start a new group with them. Right now, I'm trying to come up with an in-character justification for Arthur not to join them.
-
Arthur was forcibly impressed. "I've had more than a minor dalliance in the...less popular forms of magick myself; I have considerable experience in the Zootist forms, namely Chaos magick. The full tale is too long and too tragic for mixed company, but if we ever get the chance to speak alone I promise I'll give you the full tale. I'd be happy to brainstorm ideas for your own problem as well; I'm somewhat unfamiliar with Helvetic rituals myself, but perhaps a fusion of several schools of magick could provide a means to circumvent the problem. A copy of the Ars Helvetica might be helpful as well." Arthur pauses for a moment. "'I must say, I'm more than a little impressed by your captain; she seems fair in every sense of the word. If I ever decided to quit my current job, you think she'd have a place for another spellcaster?" OOC: That's an invitation for the others to sneakily try to overhear at that later time, if they want to.
-
Arthur grins wickedly. "Try me." Arthur waves the rest of the party onward. "Go on, I'll catch up."
-
"Ah. Is there perhaps anything I can do to aid you in that task? And say, what book was that you were reading? I'm always interested in exploring new branches of magical ability," Arthur says, indicating his Lens and his vast array of Scrolls, as well as his collection of Gems, which had grown somewhat larger than even he had expected. Arthur quitely nudges De'kra, hoping the Assassin would use his cloak to judge Jules' combat prowess, just in case they had to enter battle alongisde--or even against--the man.

Confuse and/or Hex him! Also, Pie, feel free to move us forward in 51, we can keep talking once we're belowdecks.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Flipz replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Agreed. Basically it's a lot like how swordfights in Hollywood tend to add a lot of unnecessary flourish to make them more visually interesting. Similarly, Ninjago tends to focus on fighting more than stealth, and even when the Ninja do have a "stealth mission" they do a lot of seemingly-unnecessary rolls, leaps, and flips in order to show off the characters' agility. It's really just a matter of what audiences want to see, and while stealth-based missions lend themselves to a lot of edge-of-your-seat suspense, they don't have the same "Wow, cool!" factor that a colorful fight scene has. Solid Snake would beg to differ...though over the years it seems that he, too seems to do less and less stealth....- 4,591 replies

You can blame Tanma for that super-long song post, it's his fault I was looking up videos of Vakama's visions and ended up stumbling across that song again.

Arthur overheard something about a discussion on homelands. He hardly paid attention; his thoughts we upon himself. Home...my home...but was it really? Arthur thought back to the people he knew, the betrayals they had committed against him... No. That is not my home. "Home" is a safe place, an inviting place, a place where you are wanted, needed... But where was that place for him now? Eubric? No, it was a place of hostility and strife as much as his old homeland. He did not feel "home" there. But had he ever truly felt it? Yes...Bric'bay...Dastan...these were the places, the places where I first found my way. And yet, he thought, both are places that cannot sustain my destiny. I suppose that is the sacrifice of the true Hero...sacrificing those things they could never keep in defense of those very things. "Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking... When you fall, everyone stands. Another day and you've had your fill of sinking, with the life held in your... Hands are shakin' cold... These hands are meant to hold... Speak to me... When all you gotta keep is strong, Move along, move along, like I know you'll do, And even when your hope is gone, Move along, move along, just to make it through, Move along... Move along... So a day when you've lost yourself completely, Could be a night when your life ends. Such a heart that will lead you to deceiving, All the pain held in your... Hands are shakin' cold..." A whisper floated on the breeze, as from the realm of spirits: These hands are mine to hold... "Speak to me... When all you gotta keep is strong, Move along, move along, like I know you'll do, And even when your hope is gone, Move along, move along, just to make it through, Move along... When everything is wrong, we move along. When everything is wrong, we move... Along... Along... Along... Along... When all you gotta keep is strong, Move along, move along, like I know you'll do, And even when your hope is gone, Move along, move along, just to make it through, When all you gotta keep is strong, Move along, move along, like I know you'll do, And even when your hope is gone, Move along, move along, just to make it through, When all you gotta keep is strong, Move along, move along, like I know you'll do, And even when your hope is gone, Move along, move along, just to make it through, Move along... Right back what is wrong, we move along... Right back what is wrong, we move along... Right back what is wrong, we move... Along."
