"If you've got a favorite establishment, perhaps one of us could run out to buy the drink while the rest of us look up what we need to look up. Or..." Arthur glances around furtively for dramatic effect. "You know, I'm not supposed to use my magic for this, but...I have a Scroll here that might give you a better experience than even alcohol...if you're willing to experiment with it, of course." Arthur indicates his Scroll of Confusion, and uses it on the harbormaster IF he consents.

Don't rush too much, we've still got lots of Quest 51 to go!
-
It's an example of proper player paranoia. I seriously considered having De'kra search the ceiling for traps as well. I'm really enjoying this sort of high-level strategy, though--it's the perfect balance (for me) between ease of play and complex strategy. (It probably helps that Pie is one of Heroica's biggest min-maxers anyway, just like I am. )

"It's part of an important investigation. Tell you what, just give us the logbooks and we'll go downstairs and handle inquiries for you rest of the day. Give you some peace and quiet so you can...relax." Arthur gives the harbormaster a wink.
-
"Greetings good sir, we need to make an inquiry on a vessel that was due to arrive in your harbor late the third week of Harvest. May we please examine the logbook?"
-
"De'kra," Arthur whispers, "Try to keep that handcannon hidden for now unless you have to use it." He then leads the party forward to meet the figure.
-
OOC: Just realized, Arthur was at 19/27 Ether, so he should be at 20/28 Ether now. Arthur suddenly has another thought, and relays it to De'kra. "De'kra, before you check this figure out, could you use your Magnifying Glass to check the walls and floor of this lower level and staircase for secret panels or doors?"
-
"All right, De'kra, time to pull out that cloak of yours. See if you can't hear if the person's saying anything."
-
Wow, I'm really batting a thousand for details today; I thought that open entrance was a door with a window. "All right, let's go inside. Quietly, please!"
-
"Well, at least that's something." Arthur carefully peeks through the window in the door. "De'kra, mind checking this thing for traps with your Magnifying Glass?"
-
Arthur facepalms. "That...might have been a good idea. Let's do that now. Er, right the reason I wanted to talk. I was just wondering--you know, after that comment in the battle--if you were really thinking about switching classes. I, personally, think you'd make a great Sorcerer--but perhaps that's a conversation we should have back at the Hall. We should probably get back to the others." Loot Distribution: De'kra - Explosive Handcannon Barur - 25 Gold Thalion - 25 Gold "I'll hold on to these Bonaparte uniforms for now, since we don't have enough for the entire party. Hopefully we can pick up another two soon, with less work this time."
-
"Excellent work, everyone. Now, before we do anything else, Barur, I think you can make better use of this Ancient Crown than I can." Arthur lends Barur the Ancient Crown for the duration of the Quest. "Now, let's tie these fools up and stash them somewhere." Arthur pulls out some spare rope and, after confiscating their uniforms, he binds, blindfolds, and gags the two cadets before dragging them back into the alley. "Hello, friend, if these two wake up before we get back just give them a swift kick to the head." He then returns to the rest of the party and asks, "Now, before we divide the loot, De'kra, can we talk for a moment?" OOC: If you're really going to switch classes, then I'll hold on to the handcanon (you can use it for the rest of the Quest) and divide the Gold evenly among the rest of you; if not, I'll go with my original loot distribution plan.

Bring it on. Also, see my previous post, Zeph. EDIT: I've decided I'm going to try and collect as many different outfits/disguises for Arthur as humanly possible.
-
Eh, it could be worse, at least De'kra and I are getting a bit of spare Gold out of this. I'm honestly excited just to be back in action; Arthur was sitting around in the Hall for FAR too long. Also, Zeph, does the Ancient Crown still work if it's equipped mid-battle?
-
"If you'd like, when we get back to the Hall, I'd be happy to train you as a Sorcerer, De'kra." Arthur repeats his previous actions. OOC: If Henry is ever not Stunned or Blinded, Arthur will cast a Blindness spell on Henry, and if that is successful will attack physically, Front Row but if not will try the Blindness spell again; if Henry IS Stunned or Blinded, he will just Attack physically, Front Row. Feel free to autoroll until Henry is dead or one of us takes damage.
-
If it makes you feel better, I think I've used more Ether in this battle alone than I did in the entirety of my other Quests; I think this may mark the first time Arthur's even considered using a Grand Tonic on himself. And actually, shouldn't Henry's SP reset back to 1, as a result of the second Special? And so the Heroes learn that the Shaman's Blood Ritual has severe side effects on the human elven brain.
-
OOC: ...that possibility hadn't even occurred to me. "All right, full frontal indeed, just let me try Blinding him again. Sorry to leave you Weakened, De'kra, but no sense using a Remedy this early in the Quest." Arthur Attacks Physically from the Front Row, then uses his Scroll of Blinding on Henry from the Back. OOC: As per my sudden realization in R&D, Henry's SP should be back at 1.
-
Battle Order: Arthur De'kra Barur Thalion "Hmm, all right, let's play this cautiously. Everyone but Barur to the Back Row. Thalion, if he Barricades up again, don't try to attack him at all." Arthur tries out his Scroll of Armor Sundering before attacking physically from the Front Row.
-
Let Haldor be KO'd, it'll be better for everyone. OK, so I lied about not being around--hooray for unexpected posting capability! Still going to call my presence "sporadic", though.
-
"Everyone, attack from the Front Row, except for you, De'kra, just keep it up with that handcannon." Arthur leads the way, attacking physically with his sword from the Front Row.
-
This is by far the most fun I've had strategizing since the troop battle in 31, Pie! See, people, THIS is the way to handle effect immunities on enemies--make us stop and think! Also, my normal computer is down, probably for the rest of the day, so this will likely be my last post until sometime tomorrow. Good luck, folks!
-
"An excellent plan, but I believe you should physically attack Henry from the Front Row IF I manage to pull off this spell...also be sure to state that you will do nothing if Henry is not Blinded and no one is hurt." Arthur switches Scrolls, now aiming for a Blindness Scroll on Henry from the Back Row. If the Blinding is successful, he then attacks physically with his Sword from the Front Row, otherwise he attempts the Blinding from the Back Row again. Battle Order: Arthur De'kra Barur Thalion

"You are attacking Morgan, correct?"

Don't we have an exact release date for the final Ninjago DVD? I'm going to take a wild guess and say that LEGO will "leak" the smaller sets onto store shelves on that date.
